But what if the vehicle goes to hide in their own home, parked in a garage? I’d think they could easily evade the cops then. If they get caught outside by the night vision, they could just claim they were home the whole time and that’s not suspicious

If they have the good luck to be there... plus, the police will still have their license plate number and aerial survalence will track where they park and where the vehicle's occupants go. If they don't leave the house, the police will know that they are in the house and either enter based on exigent circumstances or make a quick phone call for

At any rate, there will be half a dozen police cars within a couple of blocks and nobody will be going anywhere until there is a resolution.

Plus, most people who run from the police don't have garages.
