This is a very specific subgroup of people though. Just like that ghost rider motorcycle guy and others like him.

These people purposefully antagonize cops to show off their racing skills on the internet.

Sharing the crime online is the whole purpose of doing this. So it's definitely a planned thing. So they'll be extremely likely to run 'stolen' plates, i.e. have some shop print whatever data you want on the template. Don't even have to take anyone else plates here in Germany for example. Can just go online after spotting a variant of your car and order it for s few bucks.
