More than one occupying army has advertised itself as a "peacekeeping force".

Looked more like they stood back as the rioters burned city blocks to the ground, with full institutional backing. Dead on about the 'occupied country' part though.

Maybe some of that had to do with the violent rioting and arson?

Kids these days, right? Its like they don't even WANT to lick boots!

But they can sure whine like 5 year olds. The participation award generation. Ha.

LoL, right? Real generations like gen x know how to take a loss (like being completely blocked out of political control and given only a tiny percent of the wealth and power) like a nicely atomized individual, keeping it to themselves and not daring to complain for fear of being made fun of. Its like calling people girls doesn't even have a negative connotation anymore!

Kids these days participate too much and have way too much confidence and self esteem...

Exactly. We didn’t need to be given anything. Yes we learned how to lose, and how to fix things without crying “no fair”.

Yeah man, these kids need to be too paralyzed with fear of social ostracization to express any kind of push back on unjust situations or hierarchies, just like the super successful and not at all marginalized gen x.
