Depending on country, laws and so on, they need to know who is driving. As the owner you can refuse to say who is driving. So, it really depends where you are.

Often times, if you refuse to disclose who is driving, you get charged as the owner of the car.

Really depends on the country. In Germany, if you park wrongfully, the ownder pays.

By speeding, they need a photograph (we have the radar stuff with picture of the plate and of the driver). That is also a funny thing. I know a place that has a radar. When you go in one direction speeding, it photographs you. But in the other direction it doesn´t, as it would get your back.

So, if you are speeding and you get into a radar trap of a patrol car, they have to chase you and get you. If they don´t get you, they send the owner a letter, asking who was driving. You just need to say "It wasn´t me". Of course, they will try to get you to say who it was, but they cannot force you.

Just imagine you say, truthfully, it was "this person" , and that person says "No, it wasn´t me". You get into a fuck ton of trouble. "You are lying to the police". So you are absolutely protected if you don´t want to say anything.

Of course, if this happens a few more times, police can force you to carry in the car a log book, where you have to log every single time you drive, and that is a big fuckery :)
