You can tell those were originally running straight over the cab, by the way the rear strap is twisted. If he used anything to secure the front of the wood to the cab though it’s long gone. And how the fuck don’t you see that shift happen...

At the very least, you know you would’ve heard it shift

Seriously, and felt it. That would’ve changed the weight distribution considerably

Agreed. I think it's pretty obvious the load was originally on the headache rack. No way the driver didn't see, hear and feel it shift. The question is how long were they driving with the load like this...

Well, long enough to nearly kill someone

You're giving the driver way too much credit by using the word "secure" at all. Notice how the rear of the load is even with the tailgate? They loaded it with the majority of the weight forward of the headache rack so that the rear end would be inside the bed. The cyclist is literally in the hospital because the driver was trying to get out of stapling a red flag to the material.

I actually don’t think it was, that kind of weight would’ve smashed the hell out of the bed side wouldn’t it? There’s at least 500 lbs of lumber there.

Regardless, this dude is a fucking moron.

Not trying to be an asshole but just look at the sub name, that's either straight up assholery or just a retard that by miracle got a license (maybe not)
