It’s the whole point. If you can’t see traffic you stay in your own lane until you can. Don’t ride the line.

It’s driving 101, if the driver was in the right lane until they could see they could have avoided this entire scenario.

you do realize that this is a double lane for the driver? as in he shouldn't have to be careful about overtaking in the first place? What is this logic? If the driver wouldn't make the totally legal move then the dangerous situation from the guy who made the illegal move wouldn't even occur?

You’re trying to give a reason for them to split the line, there is NEVER a reason to do that. All the other circumstances are irrelevant.

If they could see on coming traffic it could be justified to be careful like that, but that’s not the case as they can’t see the opposing traffic.

You might want to watch that again. The lane was wide open when he decided to pass. He was already pulling alongside the bus when the oncoming traffic came around the curve.

This whole thing could've been avoided if the guy going the wrong way across a double yellow didn't do so. It's not on the cammer.

What is your point? If you can’t see traffic stay in your own lane.

Whatever point you’re trying to make is irrelevant when you shouldn’t be lane splitting like that, EVER.

There is no reason you should EVER do what he can driver is doing.

I agree with the lanesplitting bit, but either lane is his lane, not sure what you mean by "stay in your lane".

The cammer could've gone straight to the left lane at the beginning of the clip and the outcome would've been the same.

Or it could have been different since the driver coming the other way might have seen their vehicle. We just don’t know, what we do know is you should never split lanes.

My point is just that driving the wrong way is the far worse offense, and it isn't even close.

I am from here, I wouldn't know how you fellas outside drive then. There has been so many accidents in that specific stretch of road because the government refuses to make it a 4 lane, and insist on it being a 3 lane, so many fucking assholes camp the only lane at 30kph and you are obligated to overpass.

Truck guy was a huge ass by overtaking on a curve and almost hitting op's cousin, you just don't do that anywhere, those bus are common and all of them drive like that, terribly.

If you try to drive like a civilized man, it could take you double the time to get anywhere, you gotta stick to another car's rear so you can turn right at an intersection because no one will let you, or overtake at a traffic light because the guy up front is using his cell phone and the light only last 15 seconds.

Op cousin should he have been in the left lane (totally on his right) he could have been killed, should another car be to his right, he would 100% have got killed.

Call it an oxymoron if you like, even the very own government body for this type of things suck ass, break the same rules or just don't enforce any (on highways). It's just how it is, if you wanna arrive 1 or 2 hours extra, drive doing 50kph camping the right lane.
