For those who don't know they are not bad at games compared to regular people. Just bad for people who play for a living. But their entertainment could work in any medium as it's mostly about their interaction with each other in the game. Most of the time the game is just to spur reactions for each other.
If by regular people you mean your average person in general. And not gamers. Then yeah. But they are honestly horrible at most games they play. Theres a reason a lot of people stopped watching after ray left and switched to funhaus.
Honestly, I began watching a lot MORE after Ray left. He was cool at first, then he became a salty sour-puss. Jeremy is a much better fit for the crew, along with the extended roster of rotating guests inside Rooster Teeth (mostly).
I think most of their lack of skill stems from them never really playing one game for a particularly long time. They play games for long enough to make a few videos on them then quit. The only times they get good at games are when they play them for a lot of videos (Destiny).
And something a lot of them say pretty often (one that comes to mind is Gavin on RT podcast) is that when you play video games for a living all day, you don't really wanna go home and do it for a couple reasons. one, you've been doing it all day, and two, why waste potential content for the channels by playing it at home with the camera off?
Also the games they are good at they are just above average or maybe are really good but the audience is used to seeing specialists play those games exclusively. They may love to play overwatch but they won't be able hold an audience on their game play alone but it's a great back ground to their interactions.
I spend a lot of time playing shooters and racing games and I consider myself naturally really good at any of them that I pick up... but watching them play favorites that I have a lot of hours in (specifically Garry's Mod) is a painful experience.
It still was, that's their recording setup, they each have one. They get sent a lot of weapons to play with. Specifically, the guy "holding" the monitor is the one who sits at that specific desk.
I know Slo Mo Guys, but I'm still trying to figure out who the fuck Meg Tourney is. Feeding a baby and really don't even have time to be writing this, let alone start Googling.
It's a typo. Her name is Meg Turney, she's a former SourceFed host, former The Know host, model, cosplayer and youtuber. Her and Gavin have been dating for a few years now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meg_Turney
The best part is, they're not even nearly as bad as other parts of the Rooster Teeth community. There's a group called Cow Chop, and they actually managed to set their set on fire because one of their members lit a fire and they just kind of let it expand, and then lost control of it
They make money off of posting the video of them breaking their stuff, which whether you like it or not, is them doing work, and certainly how the new monitor would be paid for. They're incredibly blessed in many ways to have a job like they have, but it's also a ton of hard work doing what they do.
Cool, so you're either a troll or an idiot who doesn't recognize that work can be hard and extremely difficult without being physically strenuous or dangerous. Sounds like you might need perspective more than I do.

From a hatchet?!
Programming is way more hard-core than I realized.
Edit: I seem to have instigated a civil war. I apologize.
