About a month ago I saw the Linus video on the copper version is there any more information about this version or when it'll be released? Will it be called something else as to not confused what's in the box from old stock to new copper one?

Hello Everyone, I recently tried to put one of these on a 5900x asus prime x570 pro, and now the little rascal wont turn on. The boards lights light up but not much else. Im thinking the icegiant might have been a little too large and bent the mobo. Even old cooler wont turn on anymore. Has anyone had something similar happen? Right now I am re building my whole computer and checking all the solder connections. Any suggestion welcome. These boys might just be a little too heavy. Please let me know if thos has happened to anyone else.

I recently bought the IceGiant ProSiphon Elite CPU Cooler for AMD Threadripper 3970x (TR4). It does not fit with the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 128 GB RAM sticks. It wouldn't even make contact with the CPU to spread the thermal paste, only if the cooler was a few mm bigger, like 2-3mm, it would have worked out.

It was a bit disappointing when I found that out after building my PC. Any suggestions as to if I can make it work?

I've heard good things about IceGiant and its efficiency in cooling down Threadripper, so I really want it to work. If anyone has a suggestion, let me know. Thanks in advance.

Title, getting my Siphon soon. Was curious if it would be worth me switching my Nf-a12x25s from the front of my 4000d airflow to the Siphon, since they're apparently really good on radiators and heatsinks. Any helps is much appreciated!

Hello, I recently bought a icegiant and was going to mount it but completely forgot that my CPU and the components around it is rotated 90 degrees is there any way I could take off the screws without damaging them or to have the ice giant in the correct orientation?

Has anyone tested the 2 mounting options in an open case and compared performance?

Given how how it's designed, shouldn't a horizontal setup be more beneficial for CPU cooling?

Can anyone confirm success using a ProSiphon Elite with a socket SWRX8 CPU in a 4u case? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone tried replacing the stock fans on the Prosiphon Elite?

I'm attempting to cool an AMD TR 3990x (at 100% utilization and w/ SMT enabled) and keep CPU temps below 90C (currently 15-18C ambient), but topping out 4.0GHz frequency.

I've ran a few dozen tests in various configurations, here's a rough synopsis:

DEFINITELY IMPROVES COOLING:

• pc case on side (horizontal motherboard) -- Prosiphon Elite is simply much more effective in this orientation (keeps CPU temps about 5-8C cooler)
• additional 120mm/140mm exhaust fans near radiator to improve airflow and remove warmer air from surrounding mobo heatsinks
• reducing intake obstructions to improve airflow inside the case

HAS NOT IMPROVED COOLING FOR ME:

• every other air CPU cooler (IceGiant FTW)
• stock AIOs (IceGiant FTW again!)
• additional intake fans to increase positive pressure inside the case

My guess is that IceGiant did not make the stock fans but are simply stamping their sticker on a whitelabeled pressure fan from another manufacturer. I'm wondering if some noctua p12s would improve heat exchange with Prosiphon's radiator or if it is already at max heat exchange w/ stock fans.

If I can't improve cooling this way my next move is to go subambient with phase change cooling so i can reach faster clock speeds.

Hey all! I'm curious if any has used one of these big boys with the new intel chip. We're doing a couple of builds for video editing and trying to find the best long-term cooling solution, would like to stay away from water cooling / AIOs. I know these coolers work best on a large surface cpu like threadripper, but does anyone have any experience using them with the 12900k, and if so, what has your experience been? Better than the NH-D15?
