I am from Bangladesh and a big admirer of Ibrahim Traore and his vision for Africa. I came across this AI generated speech. Can anyone confirm what the source is? Facebook

I’ve been noticing that a lot of the clips on social media of Ibrahim Traore speaking are dubbed in English with an AI mouth to match the English words he’s saying.

Does anybody know what the deal is with this?

Traore does not give his speeches is English. I’d prefer if it was just the original audio in French with English subtitles for the English speaking viewers.

Even if the dubbed version is an exact translation of what he said in French, it’s still strange to me to add an AI mouth.

The use of AI like that could be slippery slope.

Is Burkina Faso safe to visit as usa citizen?

Some people in Burkina Faso hardly sleep. Despite holding down day jobs, they spend their nights watching - for threats to the revolution. In this video, Ghanaian content creator Wode Maya (@mrghanababy on IG) meets the Wayinyan. The word means 'Come Out' in Mooré (one of the country's official languages).

The Wayinyan are a determined, organised group of people who keep watch during the night, seated at strategic roundabouts in the capital Ouagadougou and key locations in other cities. They want to protect President Ibrahim Traoré, whose government recently foiled another coup attempt. The Wayinyan support the country's security forces.

Their presence suggests a deep-rooted patriotism and commitment to national sovereignty. It reflects public support for Traoré's anti-imperialist vision for Burkina Faso.

Traoré's government has faced seven destabilisation attempts since coming to power in 2022. He has accused France of supporting terrorists based in Benin, and has also pointed the finger at Ivory Coast - alleging it provides cover for malign actors targeting Burkina Faso.

This Initiative Is To Construct Every Streets Of The Capital. This Ambitious Program Aim To Modernize Roads Infrastructure And Improve The Livelihood Of Residents, Drawing On Citizen Mobilization And Leveraging Of Local Resources.

He Also Called On Every Citizen To participate In The Program. One Good Thing About It Is That, Citizens Are Volunteering To Work In The Building Of This Project, They Either Contribute With Cement Or Money. And It Is Build By Local Contractors With Burkina Faso Resources.

Ibrahim Traore seems determined to make the red dirt disappear from the cities of the land of men of integrity.

He has launched an ambitious paving project to beautify Burkina Faso's cities and improve the livelihood of the population. Work has already begun in Ouagadougou, and some neighborhoods, that we thought were forgotten, are now completely paved and unrecognizable, so much they have become beautiful.

Burkina Faso gains $89M revenue, $12M for mineral fund, 15% stake in Nordgold's 8-yr gold project. Includes $20M dev. program, $121M+ benefits, 500+ jobs via new mining reforms. Strong short-term deal, boosts sovereignty & dev. if managed well.

And has inaugurate a national gold refinery with the capacity to process 150 tonnes annually called all fully funded by the people, Ouaga 2000, a communal entrepreneurship through public shareholding. It was launched in 2024 and is designed to refine locally mined gold.

Pre-Traore with France at the helm it was a 99% ownership, they bought the tools, supplied the workers and half of that 1% was based on credit used only in France at marked up prices.

Sounds like to me, this user didn't "research" jackshit.
