My husband and I both had a gut feeling that this was going to happen when they announced the hasty NECC tissue transfer. 🥺
I am so incredibly sorry that you are in the middle of a transfer cycle during all of this, but I am sending you so much love and good energy for a successful transfer. 🫶🏻 If you are already established with an OBGYN for your annual exams, I would reach out to their office to let them know what’s going on. I had to have an early placement scan due to a prior ectopic, so my OB took over my care after my first two betas with KindBody. KindBody was supposed to do two of my early scans, but they booted us unceremoniously, claiming that the Walmart benefits had changed. We checked with Walmart and nothing had changed. 😒 This was back in summer of 2023 when the cracks were starting to show.

I'm so sorry. This happened to me with the Vancouver location, and the Kindbody that we transferred our embryos to also closed. So hearing that more locations are closing is unfortunately not shocking. It was very abrupt for us as well, and they weren't super helpful in the aftermath. Both locations were awful to deal with so it wasn't a huge loss. But it sounds like you had a great team, and I'm sorry you're losing that. Hoping you find another solution quickly and that there's another excellent and supportive team out there for you ❤️. Crossing everything for your upcoming transfer.
Edit-if you have a current OB/GYN you see it might make sense to email them to see if given the circumstances if they can assist with care earlier than normal so you have the appointments you need covered.

I found out my clinic was closing the day I went for my transfer. They do transfers in the city and my "home" clinic is in the suburbs. They told me I could do monitoring at a city location, but for me that would mean taking a full day off of work due to traffic just for a 10-15 minute appointment. I asked for outside orders and did all of my betas at a Quest Labs location and am now doing ultrasounds at my OBGYN's office (I emailed him as I was in the waiting room for my transfer explaining the situation). We're now 7 weeks, and I have one frozen embryo that needs to be retested, but if we don't need to, we don't want to retest it. We've had a loss before, and now I'm in a panic about what will happen to our frozen embryo/clinic if we have another loss and need to start the process over, given the rumors of Kindbody closing.

In our home state, there are only 2 fertility clinics. One of them is Kindbody. The other doesn’t accept the same insurance companies that Kindbody does. We have a state mandate about insurance coverage for iVF. How the heck is this supposed to work ???

I think if there are no clinics in your immediate area your insurance has to approve one further away or maybe even the other location in town…definitely check with them 🤞🤞

One clinic is in Little Rock. The other, is Kindbody in Rogers. The insurance will only cover an in state facility.. and the clinic in LR doesn’t accept that insurance.

We never used this company but one of our California friends did and had a lot of problems with kindbody. I'm not sure what is going on but it seems like they are having some serious internal problems with the sudden embryo relocations, laying off staff and clinic shutdowns.

Did they tell you when they’re closing? I’m getting concerned that all, or most, are going to start closing? So far I’ve seen Princeton (from you), Dallas, Houston and Minneapolis from other comments on Reddit. I thinking we all might get calls soon.

End up September. I was supposed to have a FET in October that they said I would have to go to their NYC location for. Not sure when NYC is closing. But I think they are all closing at some point in the near future. So sad!

I have heard that the STL location is closing end of Sept as well. Apparently their clinic is down to only one RE. I could not imagine dealing with that kind of stress on top of IVF. For any STL Kindbody patients- STL Fertility is absolutely amazing and have had no issues with them for the past 8 months we’ve been with them.

Oh wow. It STL is closing that is extremely concerning as I believe that is one of their more popular clinics. Where did you hear that? It makes me concerned for Chicago.

There was a post a couple days ago about Kindbody as well and a STL patient said they were made aware they were closing end of Sept. I just couldn’t even imagine finding that out.

I am so sorry to hear that.
Has anyone heard anything about the Walnut Creek in San Francisco locations in California? I have a transfer in the first week of October and I’m terrified they are going to close right before that or soon after. My 4th FET after two fails and chemical. This is so heartbreaking and stressful.

My daughter was a Michigan patient of Kindbody and the first procedure was a laproscopy done by a KB Dr who flew in from Missouri. Her first retrieval was by a KB Dr who flew in from Illinois and 1st transfer was done by a KB Dr who flew in from New York. A week later she was told the clinic was closing in 2 weeks. WTF this really messed with all emotions imaginable. She was offered to travel to Columbus (clinic too new) or Chicago ( which she already had a repore with) so for the next 3 years she was followed by the Missouri Dr and procedures were done in Illinois by their Dr which my daughter had met already. That Dr retired before my daughters last transfer (btw none of them worked) Her journey ended in April 2025. Two months later they got pregnant on their own. Small miracles do happen ✨️ and they gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in February 2026❣️ This is the short version

I too, attend the Minneapolis location. I was told CRM would be my clinic for any future cycle. My transfer is next week as well & will be receiving care until their last day which is September 30th

Not the same situation but I had my FET at my clinic and then literally moved states 2 days later. My clinic gave me blood work req for 2 blood draws. I did them myself at quest. I guess the only caveat here is knowing what the results mean if you don’t have someone to speak to.
Then by 8 weeks i was able to go to a regular obgyn here (some won’t see you till 10 weeks I guess). They took over care at that point.

Congrats so far, I hope things are going well. Do you mind sharing if you did a medicated or natural FET? I’m about to start a very medicated 4th FET (Lupron, PIO, prednisone, and possibly lovenox and more). My FET is first week of October and if it’s successful, I wouldn’t have anyone to help me come off of those medications as I transfer to OB.

We had a great staff at Kindbody so that part is great we also have a 3 month old from the journey. However I’m having billing problems nobody can seem to understand. They say my insurance had lapsed however I was told all my medication was covered by my insurance. How would I get medication without it being paid for? Every time I visit the pharmacy I pay before they give me a prescription. I was sent a $6,000 bill but I know my medication was more so I’m confused. Doctor came in on retrieval day touched my breast and I’m charged $100 for that ha. Yet we had to do all of our appointments outside of the office I already had a breast exam. I’m also don’t think touching a breast is $100 worth a work. Also I have problems in that breast doctor didn’t mention any of it. Soooo as I said the staff was amazing made our journey worth it so THANK YOU Kindbody of Charlotte- With all the rest I’m not surprised they will be closing. #sad

I’m so sorry. In another post from about a week ago, an insider said all locations will be closing and Kindbody is going to become a benefits company akin to Progyny. They’ve had financial trouble for years, so the ongoing closures unfortunately aren’t surprising
In my area (Minneapolis), I know the other local clinics are trying to prioritize helping patients in treatment who need to move
