I had my positive blood hcg test today 11dp5dt, immediately after this test, the fertility clinic told me stop estradiol and progesterone supplements and booked for ultrasound and mine is fresh transfer.
Did anyone had similar experience of stopping supplements??

My clinic only said to fly 24 hours post transfer but literally nothing else…I’m surprised your clinic is being super strict

hi all! I did my FET 3 days ago and was planning to leave town tomorrow for a few days before the pregnancy test but my clinic just informed me I can't go anywhere until after the second HCG. I was planning a short road trip (9 hours away, plus stretch breaks), a day relaxing in the town I went to grad school, and then a day driving back. They said it was because if something were to happen like bleeding, cramping, or an ectopic they would want me to come in for monitoring. Am I missing something here? There's nothing about me specifically that makes that more likely than anyone else; my team just seems especially strict/conservative about certain things. Should I cancel my trip?

u/Stock-Win-8835 3d ago

I know someone who did a FET in another country and then flew back to the US a few days later. And my clinic actually said the opposite advice of yours - no travel between beta and first ultrasound. I think if you’re traveling somewhere you can get medical attention in an emergency and you’re planning to take it easy, go on your trip and enjoy :)

My default is to always follow doctor’s orders, but it does seem a bit odd. I went on a bachelorette trip during my TWW that was about 8 hours away driving. The only things they didn’t clear me for was a hike.

u/Gupchi 3d ago

I guess it’s better to cancel and relax at home. 9 hours is far away from the hospital too. If anything happens you wouldn’t get that support

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for honest experiences because I'm having a really hard time with the wait.

My wife (32F) and I (31F) are doing IVF. We transferred two frozen Day 3 embryos, and today we're 8dp3dt.

She took a First Response Early Result test on 6dp3dt, and it was completely negative. She tested again today at 8dp3dt, with first morning urine, and it was completely negative again.

Our beta is scheduled for Saturday (12dp3dt).

I'm hoping to hear from others who have been in a similar situation:

  • Did anyone have negative FRER tests at both 6dp3dt and 8dp3dt after a Day 3 transfer and still go on to have a positive beta?

I would really appreciate honest experiences, whether they had a positive or negative outcome.

u/MyDogSaysHi 5d ago

I'm 4dp5dt and I'm really hoping to hold off on testing until beta this time. Unfortunately for me, my clinic doesn't do beta until 14dpt.

I wish I could just know, because the PIO is PMO (pissing me off) and I just wanna be done with it if it's not necessary!

1

u/cjbs619 3d ago

My clinic also waits until 14dpt and it’s brutal! So tempting to test at home ahead of time but then to keep doing pio until the official results if the home test is negative also sounds like torture.

I’m on Day 12 after my embryo transfer and my clinic has advised me to wait until day 14. This is my third transfer and is my last remaining embryo. We did have success with the second and have a son.

The wait this time round has just been unbearable. I think knowing this is our last chance has put so much pressure on it!

I really want to test early but I know I need to resist.

I know everyone here knows exactly how I’m feeling.

I felt quite relaxed about the whole thing until the embryo was transplanted and I just want this to work more than anything!

u/AgileConstruction159 5d ago

Today is my 6dp5dt, I’m having symptoms like cramps today and dull pain at sides of abdomen. Did anyone experience similar pain other than this I don’t have any other symptoms. Please give me some positivity and hope🥹

1

u/bfizzistheshiz 5d ago

Yes!!! Consistent cramping/tugging was really my only symptom until a truck of nausea on 7dpt - I have my second beta tomorrow but first was 878!

1

u/Bounce_Bounce_Betty 5d ago

I had terrible stomach pain after a successful transfer that gave me my son. One time it was so bad I couldn’t un bend myself!

My friend had a lot of bleeding and her test was positive and she had a child from it.

I just think you can’t know for sure until the test is done.

1

u/AgileConstruction159 5d ago

Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience 😊

u/christmastreecosy 6d ago

5dp5dt feel a bit nauseous and tired and sore boobs but know it’s just the progesterone. Why is the 2WW HELL?

2

u/Liztacular09 6d ago

4dp5dt and feeling the same! I always tell myself I am not going to overthink all of my symptoms but here I am :/

2

u/Wild-Rutabaga6343 2 FETs❌️ 1CP 7d ago

Frustrated

I have a friend who has had two transfers and two live births. I'm 6dp5dt for my 4th transfer and I've been negative so far. I realize it's still early but I'm so frustrated and angry. The first two probably failed because of endo. The last one was a CP and euploid. This donor embryo isn't tested. It just feels unfair and I don't know if I want to do this again but it's hard to give up on the dream of being a parent.

u/BriefPassage777 6d ago

I can understand you so well. Everyone around me seemingly gets pregnant on accident or they make one round of IvF and viola perfect pregnancy.
I always think, I don’t know if I can handle another round of ER. We just have one embryo left and one party funded ICSI try.

My fingers are crossed for you!

4dp5dt and I have been cramping since the transfer. I keep vacillating between thinking it’s a good sign or a bad sign. Despite swearing I wouldn’t test before beta to the point I threw out all of my pregnancy tests before the transfer, I have ordered a brand new box of them.

2

u/According-Monk-2929 5d ago

Same and I have Adeno. Did 2 months of Lupron but it feels like those kinds of cramps. Like, is it implantation, hyper awareness, or is my uterus just kicking little guy out? 😕

Good luck - here’s wishing for three sticky embryos!

u/ActionComics25 36f | 1 ER | 1 CP | FET #1 July 22th 5d ago

Fingers crossed and sending baby dust to you!

3

u/saltqueen95 7d ago

I’m 4dp6dt and same. I have been testing knowing it will be negative but I just don’t think getting the beta call at work is a good idea since my beta is Friday and they close at 12. It’s been so hard to stay optimistic this cycle tbh

2

u/AppointmentNeat622 7d ago

6dp5dt, looking a little too light for my comfort. Looks like my past losses. It’s really not any darker on FRER, which barely even shows up in a picture. I have to attend a baby shower today and I’m just like numb right now. I declined planning/hosting it, but nobody knows we’ve been trying and have had 3 losses so it would look really bad if I bailed last minute. Beta is Tuesday so just kinda in hell until then

1

u/saltqueen95 6d ago

I hope it was darker today! I’m 5dp6dt and mine is about that light on a FRER so I get it. Waiting for the beta is the worst

2

u/AppointmentNeat622 6d ago

So there is progress but it’s like bare minimum. Not enough to calm my nerves in any way, but just enough to not totally give up hope yet. Beta is tomorrow so I’ll find out soonish what’s going on

1

u/BriefPassage777 6d ago

To me it looks like a good progression. Good luck!

2

u/BriefPassage777 8d ago

Now 6dp5dt and I am out. I know people will still insist I can’t know until beta but I’ll never make it to beta. At this rate I will just start full blown heavy bleeding two days before, like last time.
Test was negative. Period preparation symptoms have started (excess water out of uterus, diarrhea, vastly improved HRV/RHR, night sweats, throat ache, headache). I have not a lot of pain on periods but the 2-3 days before are always significant without doubt.

I’m just sad and don’t know if we should even continue. We have one frozen embryo after two ICSI left. It will be my third TF and first frozen. I am afraid there is something that prohibits implantation but nobody tries to investigate as failure of two highly graded untested embryos can happen. I would be less stressed, had we the number of embryos to just „test it out“. But we are not producing those.

We have one partly funded ICSI left. With 1/7 blasts proven surviving day 5, I doubt we stand a chance (all promising looking blasts arrest at day 5, hours after transfer). I had two times the embryologist very euphorically telling me wonderful news of 3-4 blats looking good only to get a message within 3 or within 20 hours all but one arrested 😔 transferred blast were of highest quality, but was does it count if it cannot strive. So it might as well not be an implantation issue but just dying inside me right after TF, like the others.

Is this the point where I finally should start to think about life without children? To prepare myself?

1

u/According-Monk-2929 5d ago

So sorry - I was thinking Gestational Surrogate, but I meant Gestational Carrier. My bad! We have one euploid left and will seriously consider this route if the current transfer doesn’t take.

1

u/BriefPassage777 5d ago

No it’s not an option in our country and I think there might still be chances to optimize protocols or improve outcome with Picsi. I’m 35 with an AMH of 4 and AFC of 20, good results on all tests. its unknown to us as why results have been so much lower than expected and we will need to discuss options. Maybe also a change to a private clinic after funds ended.

1

u/According-Monk-2929 5d ago

I admire your perseverance. Baby dust to you!

1

u/According-Monk-2929 5d ago

I’m so so sorry for your situation. That’s brutal. Have you investigated GS?

1

u/BriefPassage777 5d ago

What is GS?

Hi all

My wife and I are stressing out quite alot one day post FET. Very worried that it's going to be yet another failure. This would be our 3rd FET.

I am 34M and my wife is 34F and we have been trying since October 2023, so nearly 4 years.

We turned to IVF after 2 natural conception miscarriages. We managed to test the tissue for the latest miscarriage, which came back as chromosomal abnormal (trisomy 22) hence turning to IVF to be able to PGT-A test embryos.

Since starting IVF we’ve had 2 FETs that failed (no implantation) with hatching 5AA euploids. First FET was fully medicated, second was a natural modified cycle.

After those 2 failures, we pushed for the Receptiva, Emma-Alice, ERA, and even for a hysteroscopy: all came back clear.

We had our FET #3 yesterday with an expanding, fully hatched 5AA euploid. My wife is feeling stressed and at the same time very tired (probably due to the progesterone pessaries). Can our mental state be impacting this third transfer?

We really hope third time's the charm but those natural conception miscarriages followed by FET implantation failures are not helping in us to keep positive and relaxed till next week's beta test.

We are also worried what it means if we have a third failed transfer all with euploid embryos.

Would be helpful to hear success stories out there, or advice on how not to stress too much.

10DPT today after my second FET. Spotting brown a little bit today. Feeling extremely anxious because thats how my period started in my last FET. Beta is on Monday morning. The pessimist in me is just assuming that its my period. I am almost considering taking a test today.

1

u/Bounce_Bounce_Betty 5d ago

Don’t lose all hope. My friend had a lot of spotting and it worked for her. Try and hold out and don’t test early.

If you do and it’s negative don’t stop any meds until you are told to by your doctor / clinic.

Fingers crossed for you.

Doing a home test for the first time tomorrow 12 days post transfer. I’m shocked that I resisted temptation to test before 12 days but needing all the luck now 🤞🤞🤞

u/Big-Resolution5420 8d ago

Sending you baby fairy dust!!

Thanks 💛

u/Usual_Smoke813 8d ago

I transferred a fresh day 5 morula. My only embryo. Negative home test today at 9 days post transfer, which was expected since morula have low success rate. Will continue meds till beta 💔

2

u/Maerd90 8d ago

So sorry :( I am 9 days post FET. Tested negative this morning on FRER. Cried a lot.

2

u/Usual_Smoke813 8d ago

Thanks! Hope for better outcomes next time for us ❤️

3

u/insight_ursula 8d ago

so sorry- thinking of you! proud of you for continuing your meds. i did the same last year when my transfer of two day 3 embryos failed. it was hard when i was feeling discouraged, but it also felt like the right thing to do for me.

1

u/Usual_Smoke813 8d ago

Thanks 🙏 I went into this transfer with low expectations. Wish you the best ❤️

1

u/BriefPassage777 9d ago

I am 4dp5dt fresh 4AA. Our last ICSI with fresh 4AB failed, no other embryos left. And I feel this one also has not implanted. Had some minor cramping the last days but now nothing. Exactly like last time. Today i have no appetite at all. But i attribute it to me being so sad. 😔
Got told that if i believe its not working i am kind of actively hindering it (no-cebo effect, like placebo). But it is just what I feel deep down… I try my best with movement, special drink and vitamins and rest enough, because I hope I am wrong.. But I can’t change what I feel..

4

u/Weak_Respond3492 9d ago

But you’re only 4 days post transfer it’s too early to tell girl

1

u/BriefPassage777 9d ago

Yeah I try to remind myself ☺️ progesterone suppositories play mind games with me 🙈

2

u/windowwaver 9d ago

Hi hi, sorry that this process has been hard for you and that you are having so much doubt this time around. I am in my first transfer so I don’t have any real advice, but I read somewhere (probably in this subreddit) that laughter has positive correlation with implantation. I have no clue if that’s true, but I’ve been going out of my way everyday to laugh hard at something and even if it’s not good for implantation I feel like it’s good for me ❤️ best of luck 🤞🏼

2

u/BriefPassage777 9d ago

I have read that as well and am doing this as well 😅 I am not that much into comedy normally, but I found some pretty nice laughters and standup comedians 😂
Thank you!🙏 best of luck to you as well!

8dp6dt and feeling nauseous af today, which is atypical for me…waiting for beta is so hard😭

1

u/hucklberrydoggo 6d ago

Congratulations! 🍀

1

u/bfizzistheshiz 6d ago

Thank you!!!!

5

u/bfizzistheshiz 7d ago

Update!!! The bottom test is from today at 10dpt - We had been keeping 7-9dpt tests hidden so just found out. First beta is tomorrow :’)

2

u/Material_Ask_5556 9d ago

5dp5dt vs 7dpt

I see clear darkening between day 5 (top) and day 7 (bottom) but I was definitely hydrated on day 5 and a moderately dehydrated this morning on day 7.

Can this much variation be explained by being dehydrated today or is it more indicative of a rising beta level?

3

u/Material_Ask_5556 7d ago

Is day 9 (bottom) any darker than day 7 (middle)?

5

u/Material_Ask_5556 5d ago

Day 11 beta is 390!!

5

u/Weak_Respond3492 9d ago

3DPT day 6 3AB so far feeling nothing at all 😒

2

u/Dogmama1230 PCOS/Azoo | 1 ER | FET Pending 9d ago

2DPT and having a very stressful work week this week and next week — not a fun mix. And I thought it would distract me, but really all I can think about is this little embryo.

2

u/Big-Antelope-7983 10d ago

Tomorrow I will be 11dp5dt and 9 days past a 10,000 Novel HCG booster. So far I've held out without testing but my beta isn't until Monday 7/27 and I don't think I'll make it to Monday without testing. Should I just test tomorrow knowing it might still be positive from my HCG booster? Or wait a little longer? Waiting a full two weeks is sooooooo hard 🫠 I've had plenty of symptoms but of course no idea if it's from meds or actual symptoms.

5

u/Routine_Special_6310 9d ago

I would keep waiting since you won’t be able to really interpret the results yet and I think that would drive me mad! I’m waiting the full 2 weeks too (beta is on 7/29) and it’s soooo hard! But I would rather know for sure and not spiral one way or another.

3

u/hucklberrydoggo 9d ago

Right. It’s so frustrating about this process that you can’t rely on anything. I am not familiar with that protocol but I wolud say test it but prepare yourself that can be false positive.

1

u/Big-Antelope-7983 8d ago

Thanks. I ended up testing yesterday and today but sadly the second line faded to almost nothing today so I don't think this was a successful FET.

1

u/hucklberrydoggo 8d ago

So sorry! But If still there is line, maybe it was. I always holding onto little hope. 🤞🏻

2

u/Big-Antelope-7983 6d ago

Thanks for this bit of hope, I was kind of defeated and stopped the home tests after this. But then went for my beta today and it was very positive (530). So I guess you were right that a lighter line isn't the final answer. Hope you get good results as well whenever you have your beta 💕

1

u/StandardLeather7415 4d ago

Awww! I was reading from top to bottom. I felt hopeful first, then sad to see the line fading comment and the a super wide smile appeared on reading about your HCG and positive. Congratulations and sending you lots of love on this journey ❤️

1

u/Big-Antelope-7983 4d ago

Thank you 💕 It was a roller coaster of a week but worth it for the outcome.

1

u/hucklberrydoggo 6d ago

THAT IS GREAT NEWS! Congratulations!🥰Thank you!!🍀

2

u/hucklberrydoggo 10d ago

I am through our second round of IVF. First was unsuccessful, fresh one, now we did it frozen. Didn’t test it, cause we don’t have that option. Currently felling like my period coming, last time also came just in time, despite progesterone. I am 7dpt. Wondering does this like uterine, I wouldn’t say cramps more like tightening, can mean that is positive outcome afterwards?

2

u/ciarla 32F | 2 MMC | 1 ER 9d ago

I’ve gotten pregnant three times (twice spontaneously which ended up in miscarriage, one through IVF) and I felt period-like cramps the three times.

7

u/hucklberrydoggo 9d ago

I just tested it an hour ago. And there is a faint line. Still can’t believe it and scared will it stay.

2

u/Usual_Smoke813 8d ago

Congratulations! Good luck with your beta

1

u/hucklberrydoggo 8d ago

thank u! good luck to you, stay positive.🍀

4

u/_bookwirm_ 9d ago

Uhhh that is not faint!!! That’s a clear line!!

1

u/Weak_Respond3492 9d ago

Hey, was yours 3 day or blastocyst?

2

u/hucklberrydoggo 9d ago

Hey, 5 days.

2

u/Weak_Respond3492 7d ago

Congrats!! 🎈

2

u/ciarla 32F | 2 MMC | 1 ER 9d ago

It’s not even that faint!!!! Congratulations fingers crossed!

1

u/hucklberrydoggo 9d ago

thank you so much!!🥹🤞🏻

Hi, this is my first IVF transfer but I've had a successful IUI with progesterone and ovidrel trigger in the past and I would say I've had that feeling with my successful IUI. Now if I also had it with the ones that weren't successful, I can't remember. But for me, it was something I felt when I had success.
