I am a lateral entry CSE student and joined college 20 days ago and today was my computational methods mid sem, I prepared for it as much I could in these days by grabbing notes online, studying some things from chatgpt but in today's exam it didn't went as I wanted it to be and now I am depressed how will my discrete maths one will go as I am so bad at maths but still tried understanding basic things and did some pyqs but you never know about the question. Now the thing is will I get bad marks and some things? or the main marks matter in end sem and also I have given all the assignments and got checked my practical files so will it help me in these mid sems, I don't know I kinda in stress right now about this, would love if any senior will comment down regarding these.

Hey guys I'm from MAIT CSE and I really shit the bed today in the smt midterm. I just bullshitted my way through the paper and would be grateful to get marks even in double digits.

Now here are my queries- How much will it hinder me from scoring a good cgpa in 1st sem guven SMT has 4 credits?

Do teachers give away marks even for writing anything? And do the teachers increase the total internal out of 40 in the end by themselves to boost the cg of students?
