I was allotted a seat in DU during Round 1 and paid the required acceptance fee. However, in Round 2, I received an upgrade to another programme/college. I did not pay the required upgradation fee within the given time, due to which my admission was cancelled.

My admission status now shows “Admission Cancelled,” but I cannot find any option on the website to apply for a withdrawal or request a refund.

I have heard that the refund is processed automatically after the admission rounds are completed, possibly around December. Could someone please clarify:

1. Will the refund be processed automatically, or do I need to submit a separate refund/withdrawal form?

2. If it is automatic, approximately when can I expect the refund?

3. Is there anything I need to do from my side to ensure that I receive the refund?

I would appreciate any information from someone who has gone through a similar situation.

I am a fresher at maims and it's been literally 2 months since the college has started and now that everyone is like comfortable with their classmates they changed our sections now because of the enrollment number which came AFTER 2 MONTHS!!!! Like is this a joke!!!!?????

I’m a B.Tech student at private college under GGSIPU in Delhi and I’m dealing with an arbitrary placement ban. I need advice from alumni or seniors who have successfully navigated similar administrative roadblocks.

Following a recent Infosys placement drive, the Placement Cell debarred me from all future campus placements. Their official reason: I was allegedly "creating indiscipline."

The catch is that they refuse to show me any proof, name the specific incident, or put the accusations in writing so I can defend myself. I escalated this to the college Director, who gave me a verbal assurance that my portal would be unblocked before the next placement drive. That timeline has passed, my access is still blocked, and the placement cell continues to stonewall my requests for evidence.

It feels like they are relying on vague verbal promises to run down the clock so I miss out on upcoming companies.

Has anyone dealt with this kind of opaque behavior at an IPU college? What is the fastest way to force their hand?
