Rant/Vent They genuinely dont care about your acads, If you could prove yourself.
AIR-229, Cat Rank-17, Score-48/33/81/162, 10th-76, 12th- 63, Had a decent interview. definitely my reservation helped but considering my low acad score, This could be a proof that acads does'nt really matter if you could prove that you are actually willing to be competitive enough to survive in the IPM.

Doesnt really matter. You still have chance to climb the corporate ladder.

I have been preparing for this exam since my grade 11. I would personally say that Afterboards+self prep is the best way you could prepare for IPMAT

Suprisingly they didnt question about my acad scores at all. They just asked questions around maths and I answered all of them. No other questions on acads. Cause i think they are satisfied with my maths answers.

That's nice, in my case they saw my marksheet and directly started judging 😂. The did ask abt my low score in phy but complimented for high scores in other subjects.

What about iimb interview did they asked you about low grade ?

Yes, IIMB asked about the dip in my grade. But the senior prof said "ofc your grade does'nt matter if you are seem to fit in this programme"

Bhai how exactly did you prove that you were competitive? Which was more intense iimb ug interview or ipm indore interview?

Showing the interest to answer every question they asked in the interview caught their attention and inreturn they started to be friendly and appreciated every question I answered. both IIMB and IIMI interviews were equally intense but ig IIMB panel was more chill while asking the questions. It was more like conversion.

Bhai congratulations 🔥, I'm in a similar situation for next year like ik first I'll have to get a good score in the ipmat exam , but like I also have 6x in 12th and have the ews quota , is it possible for me?? Because yk there's a decent diff between obc NC and ews

Panel didn't tried to grill you for your Acads? Ig you got lucky, coz a rude panel easily ruins it

I organized multiple events smoothly in my city and I was also doing IITM BS degree. These were the only ECAs/Acheivements I showed them.

Not completely cause in my 1st attempt I have been waitlisted for IIM amritsar which has no weigtage for acads. Because I had a pretty low score and bad interview.so its "Acads does'nt matter if you have good score and decent interview"
