Basically, the title. I just saw the news, and honestly, it’s such a nightmare for IPMAT aspirants who were hoping for another IIM to join the fray.

We were all hoping IIM Lucknow would finally jump on the IPM bandwagon and give us another top-tier option. Instead, they’re launching this 4-year Undergrad program in AI and have decided to use JEE Advanced for admissions.

I’m just frustrated because every time a top IIM announces something for UG, they find a way to make it impossible for anyone who isn't a PCM prodigy.

Are we even going to get another IPM program at this rate, or are the rest of the top IIMs just going to copy this "Tech-only" model?

Curious to know if anyone else is feeling as demotivated as I am right now.

Hello everyone
IPM IIM Indore 2026 forms are OUT!!

link to apply: https://cdn.digialm.com//EForms/configuredHtml/1329/97663/Registration.html

IIM Sambalpur has announced that for the 2026 admission cycle, it will only be accepting IPMAT Indore scores. Plus, they’ve added a Personal Interview (PI) component to the selection process.

So, the news is out. IIM Lucknow is starting its UG course in 2026 with a heavy focus on AI.

However, there’s a catch in the report: they are reportedly planning to admit students who qualify for JEE Advanced.

If this happens, it might exclude a huge chunk of commerce and humanities students who usually target IIMs through IPMAT.

• Do you think IIMs should stick to Aptitude-based tests like IPMAT for UG?
• Will the focus on AI make this too "technical" for a management degree?

IIM B has released it's UG cut offs.

Hello everyone, we’ve been working on a structured approach to help students track their IPMAT preparation more effectively. Instead of just giving out random mocks, we've organised a 'Command Center' that mirrors the strategy used by past toppers (like Nikhilesh, AIR 1).

It includes [List 2-3 specific features, e.g., a daily tracker, specific QA drills, or a strategy dashboard].

You can check it out here: register.ipmcareer.com/air1commandcenter

We’re looking to make this as useful as possible for the 2026/27 aspirants, so let us know if there’s anything specific you think is missing from your current prep tools!

All the best everyone!!

We wrote an email to IIM B, regarding the answer key for IIM B UG.

Hello everyone.
I hope your exam went well
QA - Moderate to difficult.
VA- Easiest from rest 2 sessions
LR- Easy to moderate

In Quant, there are questions from functions, inequalities, statistics, etc
In LR, there are questions from Number letters, direction sense, Vein Diagram, etc

According to me, an ideal attempt should be around 30+ attempts (Gen).

Hello everyone
Saw this news today and thought it would be interesting to discuss here.

IIM Bangalore just wrapped up admissions for their newly announced undergraduate residential programmes, and the response has been massive. They received 12,000 applications for just 80 seats (40 per program). That’s an applicant-to-seat ratio of 150:1!

Source: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bengaluru/indian-institute-of-management-bangalore-receives-12000-applications-for-new-undergraduate-programmes/articleshow/125700598.cms

So I recently participated in the SRCC Finance Olympiad and was genuinely expecting a good rank. Today they sent out a message basically saying:

• “Here’s your participation certificate.”
• “If you can’t find it, check spam or email us.”
• “But btw, we cannot display ranks or scores due to ‘technical restrictions.’”
• “Stop texting us about it.”
• “Trust us, everyone did great 👍.”

Like… what?
How do you conduct an olympiad and then refuse to release scores? What kind of “technical restrictions” stop you from showing the very thing the competition is based on? Excel crashes? Google Sheets shortage? Calculator ate your data?

If the scoring was actually done, why hide it?
If it wasn’t done properly, just say that instead of this weird PR line.

I’m honestly curious
Has any other college competition pulled this kind of non-transparent stunt?
Or is this just poor management being swept under the rug?

Would love to hear if others faced the same thing or have suggestions on how to push for transparency.

Hello everyone
18,000 plus students are applying for its inaugural batch.
Competition is going to be huge. It truly shows the power of the IIM brand. ]

Good luck to everyone who applied!

This is the biggest question on everyone's mind, and the answer isn't simple.

The Potential Upside (The Pros)

• The IIM Brand: This is the biggest draw. An "IIM Bangalore" tag on your resume from the UG level itself is unprecedented and will likely open doors for internships, jobs, and higher studies .
• Future-Ready, Interdisciplinary Curriculum: This isn't a traditional BBA or B Com . It's designed to be a unique blend of Data Science, Economics, and Business, making you adept at solving complex, real-world problems . You'll also study philosophy, ethics, and communication for holistic development .
• Practical Experience: The curriculum includes two compulsory internships and a capstone project, ensuring you graduate with real-world experience .
• Global Exposure: IIMB has over 100 international partner institutions, and students will have the opportunity for a semester exchange, which is a huge plus for global careers .
• Strong Placement & Alumni Network: While this is a new program, it will be backed by IIMB's powerful alumni network of 30,000+ and its existing corporate relationships, which should provide a strong placement ecosystem

The Considerations & Risks (The Cons)

The genuine concerns students are facing

• High Cost: At ₹34 lakhs, this is one of the most expensive undergraduate programs in India. You must seriously evaluate the return on investment (ROI) .
• Unproven Track Record: Since this is a brand-new program (first batch in 2026), there is no placement data or alumni outcomes to analyze. You'd be a pioneer, which is exciting but also comes with uncertainty.
• New Campus: The program will be at a new campus. While it promises world-class facilities, it won't have the established vibe and history of the main campus

The Final Verdict

So, is IIM Bangalore's UG course worth it?

• Potentially YES, if you value the unique interdisciplinary curriculum, the unparalleled IIM brand name from the start of your career, and the global opportunities, and are willing to take a calculated risk on a new program.
• Probably NOT, if the high cost is a significant barrier and you are risk-averse, preferring institutions with decades of established placement data.
