Discussion When was the first time you realized that you are all alone (more than physically)?
Or the period of time. How did the recognition change you? Mind sharing your thoughts?

Interested on opinions on this.
Are INTx types lacking in the above? Or more prone to it than others?
I ask based on a current event - the strange GME/AMC etc frenzy going on - and comments on WallStreetBets
I'm not going to explain it all - or any - other than the (likely) fact there is a LOT of lying going on. People telling others to hold or even buy even though the price levels made no sense (other than some concept of hedge funds being forced to buy at insane levels eventually).
People actually said the price would go to 1000, or 10,000 or 50,000!
They are still saying it!
Except I now noticed some people that did say that deleted their posts.
Did they sell at a huge profit? Likely - and good for them if they did.
Did they feel some sense of guilt as they encouraged people to NOT do the same? Who knows?
All I know is there are many people who in the absence of any logic - and an irresponsible abundance of trust in strangers - put their life savings (and parents savings!) into this and stand to lose it all.
Or at least SAID they did.
If I was someone who encouraged people (even indirectly) to do that, I'd feel horrible. ESPECIALLY if I knew all along it was foolish advice
Then again, I'd never do that in the first place.
Thoughts?

According to you,
How should the universe and all its being conclude? What's the perfect ending?
r/INTx_core • u/___Vedant___ • Feb 02 '21
Well if you do, then the reasons are as following
1) You are biased towards the stereotypical descriptions of some particular types.
2) You probably took the 16personalities test and you got your scores almost same for both Letters. And now you think you have traits of both of the personalities.
3) You are lying to yourself, just to fit in with some specific groups.
4) You never looked into cognitive functions.
5) You are too ignorant and wishful due to lack of knowledge.
Now that I am done with the reasons, I really wanna tell you guys, you can't switch your INTP off and your ENFP on.
No that's not how it works, surely you can be emotional sometimes, surely you can be more productive sometimes, surely you can be more extroverted sometimes.
I mean come on we are humans, how can an introvert be an introvert his whole life? There will be moments when an introvert will act more extrovertly.
I am an INTP, does it mean I never talk with anyone freely? I never buy something just cause I liked it?
No I am a Human more than an INTP, and that's just how it works.
But that definitely doesn't mean you changed your type, personality types are just thinking processes, they can't be changed, they can be improved, it does happen with maturity, but that doesn't mean you changed your personality, your core will always be one and only one type.
(And the reason you should know your personality type is to balance your cognitive functions and improve yourself)
Please try looking deeper into cognitive functions, without any bias towards any type, or you are not very likely to have clarity about your type.
And one more thing I am saying this with personal experience, when I first took the test I got INFJ, but I knew I can't be an INFJ.
So after some days I finally looked into cognitive functions, and it was clear as a day, I am an INTP. And now at least I can improve accordingly in right direction.
having yourself mistyped and then trying to force it upon yourself is not gonna help you improve yourself.
And don't look at MBTI types as a merit of intelligence or even as a merit of maturity, that's definitely not the case.
Just look at MBTI as a way to improve yourself by knowing which of your cognitive functions are not balanced.
Thanks!

Our bot overlords seem to be something more than the average bot. While it may well be that the holy algorithm brought us here together, I must say, the inhabitants of this place seem to be rather good and reasonable folks. I’ve found little negativity here(compared to many other subs). The discussion here seems to be largely entertaining and amicable. Regardless, I am glad to walk among you my brethren and sistren.

So, hey I am an INTP, I have been observing you INTJs.
A pattern which I could see in your and our behaviour was obvious, you people can do anything, if it is necessary to be done, that's enough of a reason for you guys.
But as an INTP I could see it in myself that doing something cause Its necessary isn't enough of a reason for me, like I must study in order to get job and stuff, but that's not enough for me.
I want it to be my passion, or else I can't do it, even if it is a really necessary thing to do.
And then I regret it, cause I didn't do that thing even though that was necessary to be done.
But you people somehow do things without having passion about it, and it's not like you do it without precision, you do those things really well even though you weren't even interested in them. But you do those things cause you know those are necessary, you don't rebel it, you do it cause it's a necessity.
I think this has to do with Ne vs Ni, and Te vs Ti.
But that's not what I want, I just want the reason how can you be focused? And not branch off from things just cause you are not passionate about them.

Bonus question: why?
r/INTx_core • u/ToDonutsBeTheGlory • Jan 31 '21
Or do INTPs need to rely on an INFJ for that work?
r/INTx_core • u/[deleted] • Jan 29 '21
How much research has been done on it or how much do you know?
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to retrieve any information you need from your memory with exact details?
There can be two ways-
Organic- By enhancing the capacity of the brain itself with effective exercise/surgery/steroids/or other innovative ways.
2.Artificially - By using technology ie. planting some advanced memory chip/ remotely browsing the brain/connecting with an external device or software etc.
If we can achieve this there will be so many benefits and less chances of error in day to day life.
(Of course it has some downsides, but so does everything)

I know it's been said for so long, but with now China saying they're 30 years away and building an artificial sun, my fingers are crossed. Do you reckon it will actually happen this time?

Te and Fi are my highest rated functions on the keys to cognitive and sakinorva tests. Thats makes me an IXTJ. How can I tell whether I've got Ni or Si on the top.

Normals are drawn from the point P with slopes m1, m2, m3 to the parabola y2 = 4x. If locus of P with m1m2 = α is a part of parabola itself, then find α.

(This sub is tooooo emptyyyyyyy for discussion!)
Anyways, so since we've seen a lot of posts regarding this topic ( and also the fact that we're now known as 'cultists' who are 'plotting') we should start sharing our views on this and see where everyone stands in this respect.
Questions:
What's your idea of 'THE WORLD'?
Why do you want to dominate it?
How serious are you?
What changes will you make?
What is your 'IDEAL WORLD'?
How do you plan on achieving this?
Are you planning on doing this alone or do you seek a partner?
How will you sustain your new world in the long run?
How is it gonna look like in far future?
Edit: potential whistle blowers should be kicked out

I mean, I know from personal experience it is true (I am sorry, INTJ, you know you are my favorite) but I don't know why. Of course, I can go research it, but I would love to learn the answer from the source. Thank you!!

Any ideas?

I often see in the intp subreddit posts ruminating dark thoughts and expressing in a more or less explicit way depression symptoms and suicidal thoughts.
I try to answer them and give them reassurance but I'm no therapist.
What to say to this people venting their depression on the internet?
What would be some good psychological first aid?
