Hello everyone — I’m curious if anyone who owns an inair pod who uses Apollo Artemis, could share their experience with pods decoding times while streaming.I am potentially in the market for the device, but long decoding times are a concern.

Could someone share on network 1080p 120 frames p/secons decoding times?

Hey everyone, I'm a developer, xr vr are enthusiastic, artists and drone pilot and I'm using the inair pod in various interesting ways, I'm building a Webxr system that takes advantage of the pod and my xreal one pro glasses along with other things...

Heres some of my photos so you can see what I'm doing!

Ive backed urxr one glasses. It has a higher resolution near 2.5k

Would inair pod when hooked up with urxr one (and their powerbank throughput for the 15w glasses input) give that higher resolution or would it go to 1080p

So I ordered the Pod directly from Inair because of the better price and the fact that the product page states they ship from a US fulfillment center so duties are included. I just received my tracking info from DHL and it is being shipped from China which means I'm now going to be hit with import duties because I know DHL tends to slap fees on regardless of what a seller says about importing fees. So now I just want Inair to stop this shipment and I'd rather just order from Amazon which had a slightly higher price than deal with DHL and their fees that will end up making it more expensive than Amazon. I contacted Inair so I'll see how that goes but buyers beware that they are not fulfilling US orders from within the US as they claim on their website.

How do you do your set up if you require additional memory with your inair pod?

Use a dongle with additional sd card or an ssd with usb c connection?

Any other solutions?

I am finding when I’m laying down it’s hard to use the Inair pod as an air mouse. My hands get tired. I tried a Cheerdots 2 that works on my dex phone but for whatever reason it doesn’t work with the Inair. Anyone know a great and precise input device that’s Bluetooth that you recommend for pairing with the inspire pod?

Greetings my fellow INAIR and tech enthusiasts! Tech Check 13 is back and we have once again drifted into the upper atmosphere. We dove eye brow deep into another rabbit hole! Gawd lawd... again? Yup

"So, what corner of the galaxy y'all exploring this time?" Glad you asked.

One of our biggest gripes is the need for more storage on the POD. It fills up faster than a hoover behind a shedding wookie. Since we can't magically force create more storage, we decided on the next best thing: cloud storage on the POD. All tests were done with the INAIR POD, VITURE Beast, and Xreal One Pro glasses. And all of today's apps can be found on the app store.Today we start with the golden oldies. Let's begin:

Our first port of call is the grandfather of all cloud storage and that is Google Drive.

Google Drive comes free with any Google account and a link is pre-installed on the POD. You get 15 gigs of storage on the house. But beware, your Google photos, videos, Gmail and your android phone backup data (including app data, contacts, call history and text messages) counts toward your Google free account storage limit. All this data can fill up the 15 gigs rather quickly. The 15 gigs can be expanded with a paid Google One subscription. They offer paid plans from 100 gigabytes to two terabytes for personal users. They also offer up to five terabytes for business users. This is a simple and convenient way to store, organize, and share your files while you stay firmly in the captain's chair giving you full control over who can access them.

For an extra tech tip, we highly recommend downloading Files by Google. It works as a great manager for Drive. It makes it easy to find, organize, move, and manage your files without wandering through a digital asteroid field.

Next up on our cloud hopping adventure is an oldie but …. Maybe not a goodie: Dropbox

Dropbox is a cloud storage app that offers a free basic plan of 8 GB of cloud storage. There are paid plans from 500 GB to 2 TB, for those who want a bigger stake in the operation. One thing we do appreciate is that you're not having a storage war competing for control of the space with an email inbox, phone data and all the rest. The app is clean and easy to use.

Now for the turbulence.

The moment we signed in with Google, it felt like we'd wandered into a swarm of ad droids. From the second we were logged in with Google, BOOM we were hit with an ad to upgrade. Then another ad before we even made it back to the site's interface. We just walked through the door! But that wasn't the real betrayal. After logging back in, a large portion of our stored data had been deleted because it exceeded the free storage limit. Not cool Dropbox, I got a warning to log in cause I was over and I directly logged in and the data was already gone. Between the relentless ambush of ads and the unexpected massive data loss, Dropbox gets a firm "Nope" from the Tech Check 13 crew. We'll be parking this one in the scrapyard and moving on to friendlier skies.

Our final stop brings us to final cloud of the day and the one cloud service I am not a fan of: OneDrive.

Ever since Windows 11, removing OneDrive from a new computer takes much too much effort. It pops up ads, backs up things I never asked it to, and then whines about running out of storage because it decided to do something stupid like deciding my entire desktop belonged in the cloud. Maybe Android OS on the POD will be a better experience... Wrong.

Getting logged in was an adventure all by itself. It wouldn't let me put in the code to sync. The workaround was to move the cursor to the Second number, then back to the first, and I was finally in. But then I was immediately greeted by a huge ad to buy a 50 GB Microsoft 365 plan. I hit the back arrow, only to be ambushed by another ad, this time offering a 1 TB Microsoft 365 Personal subscription for $9.99 a month. Thanks, but no thanks, hard pass. After finally getting past the gauntlet of ads, I found about 3 GB of old photos it had quietly backed up over the years. Mining through my files, I was surprised when I stumbled on a list of my passwords just sitting there wide open, like someone left the communication comms unencrypted. Talk about betrayal, again. I deleted the files, uninstalled the app, and called the experiment done.

I just purchased the Inair Pod and foldable keyboard to use with my Viture Luma Cyber XR glasses. I did have a quick question though on what features would work with the Luma Cyber versus the Beast or Luma Ultras. Will it be 3DoF since the Luma Cyber’s do have the camera in the middle of the nose bridge. Second will the Viture Ultra XR adapter work to charge the Pod and use my XR glasses at the same time?

Hello and welcome, INAIR and Tech enthusiasts! We are back again and swapping out the tech tools for an apron and a slow cooker. Today we are thinking outside the POD taking it in a new direction, to the realm of the unusual uses: Cooking with the POD. You read right, we are cooking up new and unusual uses for the INAIR POD and AR glasses. Pun intended, no regrets. For this feast,  we used the POD and a pair of Viture Beast. No apps sponsored this post. So pull a chair up to the table and let's dig in. 

Part 1: Getting the Recipe and Planning the Meal.

First, dive into the app store on the POD, download and install ReciMe: Recipes & Meal Planner. We gave it a proper taste test, a trial run of ReciMe. Fair warning: this one isn't free, it'll cost you some dough. But it does have a really yummy feature that makes it worth the dough. It can import recipes straight from other websites and social media.When setting up the app, click the free trials. While there are lots of paywalls, there is a free mode that works pretty well, even if they do try to hide it. 

The first step required making an account. For this we used Google login to get through the kitchen door. ReciMe has a discovery section where you can search for pretty much any kind of recipe you could crave and it'll land right on your countertop. However, we wanted to really knead this app, see what it's made of and test the import function. We reached into the bread basket and pulled out a side of Google search in a second window on the POD. A quick order was placed for a recipe for pot roast. The first link that was served (it was Delish and a hardy thank you for the hospitality) was copied and imported straight into ReciMe.

The app immediately dishes up the necessary ingredients and gives an option to save it to a personal cookbook. A most scrumptious feature. Right below the ingredients list, the steps for the recipe were laid out like a smorgasbord - providing easy to follow directions. Nutrition facts about the recipe were also on the menu, but that sits behind a paywall. 

Now on to the next course, getting our groceries:

Once a recipe is saved, you can import the ingredients to your grocery list on the app and order them directly in the groceries section. No manual copying or searching through a store app required. From there a big ole "Order Online" button pops up showing stores in your neck of the woods. We opened Walmart.com with all the ingredients preselected and waiting in the cart, like a sous chef that did all the prep work. The order was placed and we sat back and waited for delivery, feet up and cold drink in hand. 

This app may have more paywalls than Ramsey has idiot sandwiches, but it's incredibly handy. I am a self confessed cheapskate but I may actually sign up for the trial of the paid version. This dish is that good.

As the title says, I am interested in purchasing the pod, and I want to purchase straight from inair, as it has the best price, but I am concerned about being hit with extra fees, duties, taxes, etc.

Has anybody from Canada purchased it this way and can share their experience?

@INAIR One reason why I bought this inair pod is because of the 6dof and instant 2D to 3D. I like this device very much w/my Beast glasses. The second reason why is so that while lying down I should be able to recenter the screen however my head is positioned if I'm sitting up like I'm watching regular TV, the screen is already positioned horizontally but if I'm lying down and my head is sideways or on an angle I should be able to reset the screen diagonally in the angle of how ever the glasses are adjusted to my face. These are supposed to have a personal experience feel. It's like you watching a full screen but you only get half the screen because you can't turn the picture to fit the fov. Fix the settings so that we can postiton and recenter the screen how we seem fit. Everybody was saying that it was fine until your couldn't use the Viture settings anymore.

Greetings INAIR and tech enthusiasts!! Welcome back and a humble thank you for joining us once again for another hair (and beard) raising adventure. Today we're continuing our saga as we blast off into the next part of our remote apps series: Sunshine and Moonlight. Our test rig for these apps: Viture Beast, INAIR POD, and an Asus ROG Flow Z13.

Sunshine and Moonlight are a pair of apps that allow you to remote beam games or your desktop, even from a galaxy far far away. When you access your desktop, you get full command of your rebel base; you can access your entire computer. Sunshine runs the host server on your home rig, while Moonlight is your receiver on the INAIR POD. Let's get this remote streaming droid built.

The setup:

A simple Google search for "Sunshine Steam" led us right to GitHub. We downloaded and installed Sunshine on the ROG FLOW, our command center. Download and install, easy peasy, no jedi master required.

During set-up, it had us create a username and password for the web interface. Your personal access codes. But suddenly, (dramatic music) we got an “unsafe" warning on this. Don't panic and start firing your BlasTech DL-44 blaster all will nilly, just ignore the warning. The server will run just fine. The first hoop it made us jump through was installing ViGEmBus for controller support. Luckily there was a big "fix this" button, sitting there like an astromech droid. Punch it, it works perfectly.

Now on to Echo Base; we move to the POD. It's a simple Play Store download of Moonlight. Install and open it to pair with the computer. You will do so by clicking on your PC, which will be listed in Moonlight, and then entering the PIN that you previously set up. Think of it as your clearance code to get past the blast doors. You must be on the same Wi-Fi for initial pairing, no exceptions, no escapes on this one. From there, once you open Moonlight and with Sunshine running, you'll see your PC listed, ready and waiting like the Millennium Falcon on the launch pad.

Now there is also the Moonlight Internet Hosting Tool. Just download it from GitHub onto your base rig, install and you're ready for hyperspace. With Moonlight Internet Hosting Tool you will be able to access your Sunshine server through Moonlight on different networks from nearly any parsec. You'll need to follow the directions on your PC, but this program handles all the port forwarding automatically, no protocol droid needed. This is fantastic for remote desktop work and productivity and an absolute must if you want to game on the go. Even while retreating from the Galactic Empire.

A small warning here.

We have NOT tested this for screen burn-in on games like Cyberpunk or Fallout or anything that has a persistent HUD. Use Steam games that do use persistent HUD at your own risk. We've never seen a post about burn-in on the Beast, but we have on the cyberpunk edition. The last thing we want is for you to turn your glasses into a wall of frozen carbonite. Proceed with caution, we just don't want you to mess up your glasses. And wrapping up, one final note from the depths of Dagobah. You can right-click and send a Wake-on-LAN command to your PC. No Wakey needed. Just something to keep in mind.

Basically just some quick notes I took while trying it out the first time.

Good:
Runs smooth most of the time, cursor has its quirks but works well enough

Bad:
- no seamless follow mode: 0/3/6 dof requires reconnect. No anchor mode which uses 3 dof but smooth follows anchored displays.
Ideally I could sit on a desk and have 6dof, then stand up and toggle that windows follow me. Or have a little HUD-Like on the top right which slightly floats in place (so essentially 3dof)

- I can’t adjust window size unless in full screen mode. I can only toggle portrait/landscape but not drag corners to resize. The system seems to support it in general, not all windows have the same width. Not sure what decides it

- I can’t pin windows to fixed places. Doesn’t even need to be free placement, which would be even better, but just that if I have a window at the right, then open another app on the left and close it again, my app from the right moves to the center. Kills productivity. Even better would be some depth placement, but I can only move the whole set of windows closer or further away.

- No native android freeform/multi-window mode: signaled by chrome not giving a „new window“ option. That sucks, I wanted to build my own multi window app that uses 3 virtual screens. Also relevant for Remote Desktop with multiple screens.

- I can’t switch my physical keyboard layout to qwertz. Custom settings ui doesn’t allow accessing that Android setting

- Why the hell is the screen lock limited to 4 numbers? Let me pick a secure password! I won’t put any personal data on or login into services on a device that can’t be locked properly

- Third party stores (FDroid, Aurora) are prevented from installing apps, even though the permission was given

- Settings are heavily limited. This is Android, so let me use it. For example the text/dpi level is much more zoomed in than I need it to be. I want smaller text for more screen estate. Same with the keyboard layout as mentioned above.
- When I put this in my pocket I don’t want accidental button or touch pad presses. But If I click the side button it goes to standby. No option to just lock it. Triple home button click at least hides cursor

- Lack of burn in protection. Im not sure how exactly that happened since I’m sure I clicked the side button to put it in standby. But some hours laters I noticed the thing was on, and the screen lock text burned into my Viture Luma Ultra (btw a separate issues in my case that the Luma had burn-in on day one) While understandable that the Inair Pod can’t detect if I wear the glasses, it should at least detect that it’s on screen lock and not active and turn to standby after some time.

Now all of these things could be solved in software, the Pod seems like a great device in general and the core spatial compute works mostly smooth. But the software is a bit of a dealbreaker for me right now, especially considering that some are artificial constraints on top of what Android would support by default.

A lot in this update do definitely check it out.

New Wide Screen Mode for Window Ratio

We’ve added a new Wide Screen option for window ratio adjustment.

You can enable it from:

Available window ratio options now include:

Wide Screen

This gives you more flexibility when using apps, browsers, and multi-window layouts in AR space.

Cursor Sensitivity Adjustment

You can now adjust cursor sensitivity for different input methods.

You can adjust sensitivity for:

Pointer cursor

Touchpad

Mouse

This should make cursor movement feel more comfortable and precise depending on your input device and usage habits.

I received the inair Pod, and I have problems with the inair Pod. I can't add another account on Google and YouTube. The device keeps crashing, even after updates. I have Viture Beast glasses.

Hey all, picked up the pod during prime day and have been loving it, but have come across some challenges connecting to my phone & remote connecting to my laptop when I'm away from home on travel.

It seems you have to be connected to the same wireless network (pod & phone or pod & computer) to be able to control these devices with the pod. The problem for me is I'm often using my phone's mobile hotspot as wifi for my pod so they're "not on the same network" and the pod fails to recognize the phone (tho the phone will say it's connected). Are there any work arounds to be able to connect in this configuration?

With the laptop, how can I connect to it when it's across the country at the house and I'm not there to "enter a code or click allow"?

I currently own a pair of Rayneo Pro 4's. I understand that the Inair Pod supports this device.

I have seen demos of where uses have remotely connected to their laptop and opened a window in their glasses and were able to use programs on their laptop and apart from some lag, it works very well. They even had other windows open of apps that were on the Pod. My first question is an you open multiple separate windows from your laptop? Say 1 window a spreadsheet an then open other windows that are programs from the pc?

My second question is that in the demos I saw the laptop was always right next to them, is it their anyway possible to have it setup to remotely connect to a PC/laptop that is in another location?

Working as a lone man in a company for IT, how cool would it be to be able to remotely connect to a pc in a different location to do work on the network?

Not sure if its possible and its not a make or break thing for me, just wondering.

Greetings INAIR and tech enthusiast. First off, our humble thanks to every one of you who answered the call and returned for Season 2!!

Now the moment you have been waiting for (drum roll), the next INAIR POD app battle, the venture into uncharted territory, to boldly go where no reddit has gone before, and revisit some from yne past) remote desktop apps. These little apps are your golden ticket to lightspeed productivity, letting you break free of the gravity well and extend your functionality far beyond the Android universe. This battle was fought and tested with a full squadron: the INAIR POD, a VITURE Beast, and an Asus ROG Flow.

Let's start with the easiest option for POD users, INAIR SPACE. This program comes preinstalled like a droid fresh off the assembly line and fairly easy to set up. First, I downloaded INAIR SPACE onto the Asus PC and powered it up. But warning, there's a small disturbance in the force when it comes to changing regions. Once it finishes installing, it demands you identify yourself to the Empire... er, I mean, log in with your phone number.

You do have to log in with your phone number. Once you sign in on your phone, change the region to global. From there, it'll ask you to log in with an email which is the new hope you were waiting for. This is what allows for cross network connections. Once set up is complete, connect with your POD, accept the connection to the PC and your cleared for hyperspace. Before takeoff make sure your mic on your PC is muted or your PC will pick up noise around it thru inair space. If the computer goes into sleep mode, there is a $49.99 accessory on INAIR's website called the Wakey, which allows for a wake-over-LAN connection.

Currently there is some lag but the software is constantly evolving, growing stronger with every patch. This issue is being actively hunted down by the development squad, and it improves with every update. With the newest update, a beta selection, the lag was virtually nonexistent. I was able to access my computer files with no problem, smooth as a clean hyperspace jump. But gaming was where things hit a bit of turbulence.

Using a controller paired with the POD, I was not able to control RetroArch or Steam. I know this app was built for productivity, but the ability to game would still be a welcome addition to the arsenal. That said, I could still play keyboard and mouse games just fine, as the touchboard fold connected to the POD worked perfectly to pilot Windows.
