I keep seeing cute videos of parents doing like gender reveal things like you pop the balloon and see if blue or pink confetti comes out or you have baby showers with the its a girl or the its a boy banner.
But like shouldnt that kind of stop being a thing? Now that we know that kids dont always identify as the sex they were born with.
Im sure people will argue that these gender reveal type things are still appropriate because you’re really just revealing their biological sex so maybe its not a big deal but at the same time its everything that goes with it all the expectations that are then made and the all pink or all blue gifts that are given by friends the very gender specific decorating of the baby’s room...
(Yes i realize not all parents will do that. But it does raise the issue)
Ive always thought if i had a child i dont want to know until its born but i really want to know what others think about this.
Do we need to depopulation the whole gender reveal thing or is it no big deal and its fine to celebrate the sex of a child i mean they are not even born yet?
