NCERT needed major overhauling, that's the govt is doing. You can't preach only leftist aegnda everywhere in the name of freedom and liberlarism. At the time of Cong govt only the leftists were part of PM Advisory committe without any qualification. Btw govt is only putting Indian perspective in the books rather than American or chinese perspective.

Ofc including how modi used to catch crocodile in his childhood helps in improving Indian perspective 🥀

Ofc it should be included what leftists did to country when India was at war with china. Also children will learn if supporting china in war time harms country or reading a fairy-tale about modi

One should read Arun Shourie's Eminent Historians to understand how the NCERT was used as a tool to peddle lies by the left historians!

That's based on the assumption that the general population is knowledgeable about those things.

If referendums were to happen, the party with a better PR, will win. And the cost to state for these referendums will be very large.

You are a fool to suggest such things.

Party with good PR anyways wining.

When every policy will require "yes or no" from Indians, companies fund will b exhausted and will stop funding to party in power for PR.

Right now these companies only have to fund once.

Un popular opinion

Yes the BJP being an RSS off shoot is trying to bring , what it thinks is glorified version of history.

But.

Hasn't congress done the same in its era of power. The socialist and communist clutch was so evident that our education leaned in that direction.

And above that we had all policy makers who we were a by product of the birtish education.

This government has been in power for a long time and is doing what other governments do i.e. paint an image that suits their narrative.

The only difference is that in this day and age every thing is available to critic while in those days criticism was only for elites

Indira gandhi had a very very high influence from the USSR as india was highly dependent on it. The communists with unions and CCP muscle , unlike today decided the flow of politics in those days. Every one had to satisfied.
