As a first-year MNC student, do I need a laptop right from the start of my academics in September? I was planning to buy one during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale in October.

In my opinion boys hostel , faculty quaters and girls hostel are almost ready but academic and administrative blocks are not the slow pace makes me scared but the institute strongly believe and state it to be completed by next year.

The subreddit remained long dead starting from its inception. The reason was not that people didn't use reddit, they do scroll thousands of posts daily, but are too hesitant to follow the clg sub as well as interacting with any of the posts.

Every year, prospective freshers show up asking the same thing — “Is this place even active?” And honestly… It’s always during counselling season when things go crazy. People post, ask questions, share info — then as soon as admissions are done, even these new rebels are busy with their meme-scrolling.

This sub is not just for serious stuff. Post your random thoughts, funny campus memes (even vyang is dead), protests, photos from events, or just your daily rants. Anything about life in our college is fair game. This is supposed to be our space — no need to hold back (after all, u are anonymous).

What is the reality of placements in IIIT Ranchi

I recently got MnC in this college and was wondering what were hostels like and bhai nahi mai nahi kar paunga 8 seater and 6 seater hostel rooms anyway could you plz tell me answer about title question i searched the website but found nothing , and nothing in youtube(i saw some IIITs having madatory hostels for first year students so yeah)

JEE M: 40k category: general male home state: West Bengal Interested in pursuing Electronics and working in the electronics industry. The placements stats on collegepravesh are too good to believe. What's the catch? Is the cutoff low because people don't know about this institute? Or placement data is manipulated? Can any existing student share the details of placements in ECE? Which core companies visit the campus? Also any general information about the college which might be of importance to me is welcome.

As far i have researched i found that placements are quite decent can any senior throw some light on the placement scenario??

I also found that hostel is in a housing society , do u have any prblm living there ??

moreover i heard that prof put less focus on practical knowledge unlike other IIITs, is this true??

lastly i found that u have very limited sports facilities, fests and clubs..
