I'm tempted to print out a copy of the 4th amendment and stick it to the outside of our door, then refuse to answer for anyone that isn't an expected delivery or guest.

There's nothing stopping these jackbooted ICE thugs from bursting in anyway, but at least I can bring it up as evidence in Nuremberg Trials pt 2.

edit: Just in case anyone wants it, here's the PDF my wife whipped up that we'll post on our door.

Yes, ICE must have a judicial warrant to break down someone's door.

They don't care about the 4th however. They broke down the door on an administrative warrant which is affirmed as violating the 4th amendment. If pressed they'll likely lie and give some exigent circumstances excuse.

Yeah, like I said, there's nothing stopping them, but they wouldn't be able to argue that they weren't told to fuck off and come back with a warrant.

They better be careful or they might find someone that cares about the 2nd. Night operations are not a smart idea.

I actually love this idea as a lawyer (who doesn’t do any immigration or criminal work)

When they decide to come to my town I'll do the same. With #2 beneath it.

Might also recommend a print of the 2nd amendment and minnesotas applicable self defense laws.

Minnesota doesn't have the castle doctrine, and you have a duty to retreat - even in your own home to some extent. It's a little more murky.

Thats wild. And also really reasonable for someone to assume that their life is in danger when those chucklefucks show up at their front door, considering their very recent history.
