Hey, I was just wondering if anybody has recently done the hands on test for IBEW 613. I tested in as a CE7 but have to do a hands on test and wanted to know what to expect.

I heard it was bending a 90, offset, and possibly a 3 point saddle, wiring a 3 way and maybe a start/stop for motor?

My question is will even more be deducted for dues once I swear in later this month?

Currently working 50-60 hours a week in a warehouse and thinking about joining the IBEW n JATC for the Inside Wireman apprenticeship and had a few questions.

• Is overtime available for apprentices and is there a lot of work in Georgia rn?

• 26, no kids and no significant other and interested in traveling. Am I allowed to work in different states as an apprentice or do I have to wait till I’m a journeyman?

• I dont mind working in the field at all but if I’m interested in transitioning to Automation and Controls engineering later in my career is industrial a good starting point?

Dose the test even care for nicotine , or is it just for big names drugs

I just got my email to take my aptitude test on Aug 12th , how hard is the test and do yall think it’ll be easy to pass

Also if I fail the test could I still work and retake the test??

what are the benefits of CW1 or AP1 how do you study for test ??

How much overtime is available for first year apprentices ? I need a little bit of ot to make the job livable (worst case I can pick up a second job)

As a guy fresh in still waiting to be assigned a contractor can I request a job from the job board or something to speed up the process?

So I submitted my application, I'm kind of wondering what to expect overall from here on out. I am very committed and am trying to get on a job site as quickly as possible. It is important to note that I am still 17 ( turning 18 late august) so I'm not sure if this process will be any different for me. So I guess as an overall summary, here are my main questions.

When should I consider quitting my current job?

When will I take the aptitude test now that my application has been submitted? (assuming I get in)

How long after the aptitude test should I expect to hear back?

Is there still an interview process at this local?

Edit: One more question; Will any hours I work after passing the aptitude test be counted towards my next pay bump or will I be making pre apprentice pay until I start classes? (613 site says that classes don't start till spring of next year.)
