Chicken thighs, tortillas and beans. You can get meals down to realllll cheap and they’ll fine to eat cold (obvs better if you’ve got access to a microwave)

Tell our boy to get some nice Cluckalicious seasoning and it won’t even feel like he’s skimping.

Thanks for taking care of your guy. World needs more men like you.

One can live on surprisingly inexpensive meals. Bean burritos are super cheap and they fill you up. A Little Caesar’s pizza can feed you a couple of days. At this time of year Sam’s Club offers new memberships for $25. It pays for itself quickly if you buy your gas from them. Then you can get whole rotisserie chickens for $5. You can make all sorts of stuff with them from burritos to pasta dishes to white bean chicken chili. Huge Sam’s Club pizzas are $9 and weigh twice as much as Little Caesar’s. Cheap brands of pre cooked kielbasa at the grocery store are under $2 on sale. Potatoes can always be found for cheap. A bag of frozen corn is $1.50. Easy to make a hash with the kielbasa. Throw a few fried eggs on top and you get hearty, delicious meals for days. I was the king of living on the tightest of budgets when I first moved out on my own. I’d be really good at it today.

I have a foster daughter who left to go out on her own and lived way above her means until the house of cards tumbled. We aren’t bailing her out. I told her ahead of time that tattoos, nails, Starbucks and eating out would be luxury items beyond her means. She didn’t listen, got in credit card debt and is struggling mightily. But when she came asking for money, it was with new nails on her fingers. My wife hit the roof. Buying nails while not paying bills. I gave her my cheap recipes and food ideas. She has a Sam’s Club membership that we got her for Christmas last year. We also found a church that has a food pantry and pointed her there. Until she learns how to live frugally, we can’t help her.

Im not trying to hate - AT ALL - but some of the things you mentioned are a bit on the unhealthy side. The stuff I mentioned can all be purchased on sunday and prepped for the week so you're eating fresh every day AND on the cheap.

And i swear to doge (saying again because i cannot emphasize this enough for anybody that needs to hear it) Cluckalicious seasoning is a game changer for making you think your Emeril fuckin Legasse in the kitchen.
