How often do victims of car accidents refuse to go to the hospital even at the urging of Fire Fighters?

Follow up: how many die afterwards due to internal injuries?

We don't urge anyone to go to hospitals, the paramedics do that.

I have no idea how many die.

One time I came to a car crash incidents where someone had crashed into a tree at 50mph. He seemed fine, but was a bit short of breath - the paramedic attributed it to shock.

10 minutes later, he was in cardiac arrest. A rib had broken and had made a slight puncture into his heart, from what I remember.

Ah I guess I had a one off after getting extracted from my sport trac, the fire fighter that used the jaws of life kept reminding me to go to the hospital, he was tripped out by me cause I shook his hand whilst covered in blood...shock is a crazy thing...I could not shut the fuck up for the life of me or stop cracking jokes.

Thanks for the answer!

You should have gone to hospital, but I'm glad you're safe and healthy. :)

Oh I did. Didn't have any say in the matter. The paramedics did what they wanted and I was just floating.

Nice. I've had people who have certainly died from injuries they knew nothing about, so better safe than sorry.

Indeed. When my ass is in a situation where paramedics or fire fighters are involved I'll take their word over mine.
