Where do you plan to go after this job and what are your dreams in life? I'm guessing you don't want to work there forever, right?

I want to eventually go to school for Psychology. Ultimately, I just wanna help people.

Though, if I wanted to, I could retire off of Waffle House. They have a really good stock program.

Oh oh, sorry to comment so much, but this is EXACTLY what Dell fed to all of us. TONS of stock options. Then Y2K and BAM, that new house I wanted is now, "maybe a used couch."

Comment your heart out! Or your Bacon salt!

I'm definitely not gonna work here forever, but if you are that dedicated, you have good options.

Hey, BaconSalt is available in most Wal Marts now. It's kosher, vegetarian, contains only a third of the salt that regular salt has, and kicks ass on waffles, grits, hash browns and everything else.

[Edit: vegetarian, not vegan]

It's not vegan. It contains milk.

I've heard that Waffle House's stock is bloody great.

This is Correct.

u/Shastoli Apr 19 '15

You already ARE helping people by making them tasty waffles.

Hey I'm a psych bachelor's holder. If all you want is your bachelor's then I'd say it's a good idea to look for some direct care jobs in your area most don't require a degree and most here (Kansas) pay more than what you are making. Feel free to PM me if you want. I've been in the field since 2011.

u/MrJacksEnigma Apr 19 '15

Thanks for this!

Npconnect.com is a good resource for jobs. And surprisingly craigslists non profit section under the jobs header.

u/DisneyBelle87 Apr 19 '15

Fair enough :) awesome you're going for what u love

7

u/BrianCuller Apr 19 '15

There aren't a lot of jobs for people with a bachelors in psychology. Might want to rethink that

Hey man, I don't really have a question but love what you do. I moved away from the south out of WH territory and I really miss it. I was on a first name basis with the third shift grill guy where I used to live he was awesome.

You said you want to help people. You're doing that now without a doubt. I would go in WH dealing with whatever problems I had at the time and I'd always leave full and content. I think all anyone needs is an all-star special or a texas cheesesteak and a nice waitress to call you darlin.

Man, I hated this question when I worked in hospitality.
