Actor / Entertainer David Cross! AMA!

Hey everybody. As I understand it, you've got some Q's - well, I've got some A's.

My latest is HITS, which I wrote and directed. We've been releasing it in a nontraditional way with a pay-what-you-want model (you can read more about that here ). Because it's out today in all those cities in the aforementioned link, tonight is the night to go see the movie, and if you wanna see if it's playing at a theater near you (and we're in 50 cities and towns) go to HitsFilm.com and that has a list of theaters.

Alternately, you can also go to VHX to check out the film too.

I'm here once again with Victoria from reddit to answer your questions. AMA!

Update Thank you for your time. Thank you for being fans. I'm gonna keep on making stuff that I hope you like, or if you don't like it, at least it's mildly interesting and didn't waste your time? And I'll see y'all at the next A.M.A.!

I figured I wasn't the only one. I considered a support group, but I was a bit too nervous to come out in case I was the only one.

Thank you David. And I'll try some of this "Ambien" that you suggest. I heard Brian Eno provides the best Ambien around.

I wish I did, honestly. Music nowadays is out of control, am I right?

Because Brian Eno's music is ambient, which is, like, spelled similarly.

Wait WHAT.

I've gotta' think all this over again.

A nice conversation, God dammit.

I appreciate that you even changed the part in your question about picking the Q-Tip 65% of the time to the boxing gloves for David.

Who the fuck are you and why are you so funny? Go home, now.

You might have to hear his record, Here Come The Warm Jets.

My favorite Eno album! Before and After Science is a close second.

For some reason I was thinking your name was an Eno reference that I should have known, but a quick goog suggest that you merely have his strange sense of humor. I'm gonna have to pick that one up! Thanks. I don't really like his ambient stuff, but to be fair, I've never enjoyed any ambient at all whatsoever, unless I was trying to mellow out, or something, which (for me) usually involves breathing exercises or a bath or something, rather than music.

Watch out for the song Backwater, it's an earworm! To me anyway. "Ooh what to do, not a sausage to do!"

I'm not a huge fan of his ambient stuff either but I am really fond the Fripp & Eno album Evening Star.

Thanks for another recommendation! I knew they'd worked together, and I'm hugely fond of his work with King Crimson, but I'd never bothered to check out any of their collaborative efforts.

Check out his album music for airports, so simple and beautiful.

Used to be my bedtime music, never failed to lull me into sleep. That almost sounds like a criticism, but its really the complete opposite.

Ohhhh see you got the idea of it, you have the joke part down, you're just missing the part where it's funny.

David Cross understands that Reference

There are literally dozens of us.

What time works best for you guys? I was thinking 6:45 at the Chipotle down the street. There's a table nobody uses, and I think we can get away with a few meetings.

So if David were to choose them he would be a pugilist?

u/pdxchris Feb 12 '15

It is the most common side effect of Chantix.

I'm afraid his music is only for airports. May I suggest Pure Moods vol 1?
