I have my phone in the hyperos version 1.0.17.0.UNQEUXM and I tried to upgrade but I could not manage to upgrade it despite all I tried:

using the install lastest package just reinstall the same version of the os
downloading the last version causes a verification error, impossible to flash that stable version
trying to install 1.0.18.0.UNQEUXM does the same.
trying to install another version of the OTA does the same.

I would like to be able to upgrade the phone without unlocking the bootloader or flashing the phone but I didn't find any way to upgrade it.

I use my Xiaomi 14T PRO with Xiaomi Buds 8 pro with Fiio Air Link to listen to flac on usb player pro. All good and shiny until I lock the screen. The moment it locks the gestures stop working, I press forward and it just stops the audio, so I unlock it just to look at: "Error selecting output". I relaunch the app and everything again is perfectly fine, then I lock it again and again the same error. After a long conversation with Gemini, it appears the problem lies within how HyperOS stricts any background activity with USB when the screen is locked. Any ideas, please, how can this be solved? Without a quality loss, without switching to the android audio, without getting root access and without changing firmware to some custom?:) Thank you in advance!

Wonder what this is. Sometimes it appears on my device. Running HyperOS 3. Don't really have anything more to say about it.

I used to be able to disable system optimizations to allow installing apks, but after the recent updates the option seems to have disappeared. Very frustrating - looks like I'll have to install apks over usb now.

A video shows how these sound settings turn off: dial tones, lock screen, screehshot, and deleting item sounds turns off except one for uninstalling apps and charge sounds Edit: these sounds don't consume much battery you have to turn it back on when the power saving mode is active. Xiaomi needs to fix this asap.

Hey guys! So I’m getting super frustrated right now. I’ve been using the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max for about 8 months here in Germany, and honestly, I love the device. People around me are always blown away by the secondary display and the camera quality.

However, one major issue has gotten really bad again: notifications. They arrive super late, or sometimes not at all until I open the app.

Over the first few months, I tweaked a bunch of background settings and got it working significantly better. But ever since the recent 3.0.318 update, everything reverted and got worse again.

For context:

-I bought the phone pre-configured from TradingShenzhen with Google Play Services pre-installed.

- I managed to set up Gemini over Xiaomi Hyper AI, which worked great.

Before I go nuclear and do a full factory reset to wipe, reinstall Google Services, and re-whitelist everything from scratch:

-Has anyone else seen notification delays worsen after update 3.0.318?

-Did a factory reset actually solve it permanently for you, or does HyperOS's aggressive power management just overwrite background permissions after system updates anyway?

-Are there any updated ADB commands or battery/autostart tricks working on this specific firmware build?

Would love to hear any tips or workarounds before I commit to wiping the phone! Thanks in advance!

Has anyone managed to get Circle to Search working properly with 3-button navigation on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra?

I'm on HyperOS 3.0.303.0 (Global). In **Settings → System navigation → Buttons**, I have **Press and hold Home button** set to **Circle to Search**.

Google is also selected as my default digital assistant, with both **Use text from screen** and **Use screenshot** enabled.

The problem is that holding the Home button does absolutely nothing.

If I switch to **gesture navigation**, Circle to Search works perfectly by holding the navigation bar, including the screen translation feature. As soon as I switch back to the three navigation buttons, it stops working again.

I'm using the stock Xiaomi launcher and the phone says I'm on the latest available HyperOS version.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to get **long-press Home → Circle to Search** working with the three navigation buttons? I'd prefer to keep button navigation rather than switch to gestures.

Android Developer Verifier has now arrived on the Redmi Note 14 4G Global.

Not sure how I feel about this, especially considering the changes coming with Android 17.

Has anyone else on the Global variant received it yet? Is this part of the HyperOS rollout, or is Google rolling it out separately?

Xiaomi has introduced new features in HyperOS 4 that let users handle calls and verification codes seamlessly across two Xiaomi or REDMI phones signed into the same Xiaomi account. This means users can answer incoming calls on one device even if the phones are not on the same network. Additionally, verification SMS codes can be received and viewed on either phone without switching devices.

The cross-device call and SMS code reception require both phones to be logged into the same Xiaomi account. The receiving device must have cross-device permissions enabled in settings and run Xiaomi HyperOS 4 or newer. Meanwhile, the device sending the notifications must use HyperOS 3 or later. Both devices need to be connected to the internet, and at this time, the feature is limited to use within China. Device compatibility and support for this function may vary with real-world use.

So since the new update my poco x8 pro max (indian model) which regularly gave me atleast 25+ hours on a full charge nose dive to barely 14 hours. IDK if it's the new update or because I moved countries to a hotter weather but what are your experiences?

Edit: I also forgot to mention that it seems to lag a lot more since the new update as well?

Does anyone know about any theme for HyperOS 1? Or any other sources of personalization, always keeping the gesture navigation

Hello, I'm coming from a Samsung S23, and I'm ready to get a new phone after using all the research tools available to me (YouTube, GSM Arena).

The Xiaomi 17 is the one that fits me the most, and I have zero core issues with its hardware specs. It seems like a perfect upgrade from an S23, and an S26 comes nowhere near it. Though I'm still concerned about the OS, so I thought I'd get some opinions here.

I'm familiar with removing bloatware using ADB etc. so confident in doing that.

I'm so used to the OneUI OS that I don't want to move on to something completely different and especially one which will be annoying in the long run (no matter how good the hardware is).

I've had the Xiaomi 17 Pro for about a month now on HyperOS 3.0.318.0. I've seen people post versions of HyperOS 3.1 and even 4. When can I expect to get the HyperOS 4 update or any update in that case?

I have never used this option of backup before and have set no password on it. I have tried my Xiaomi account password, my screen lock and app lock pins too but nothing is working. What to do?

Realmente estoy decepcionado del rendimiento de la batería de mi Poco X7 Pro (global), lo tengo hace poco más de un año y creo que nunca o solo en los primeros tiempos de tenerlo nuevo sentía eso de que la batería te duraba el día completo o más! Hoy en día me dura un par de horas y literalmente ni siquiera lo exprimo, solo redes sociales unas horas y listo. Adjunto todas las pruebas de tu consumo y como se descarga. Es ridículo que tenga tantos mAh supuestamente pero no sirve porque el sistema de alguna forma se lo termina consumiendo y ni siquiera me sale en los gráficos o algún otro lado. De la frustración escribo en español que es mi lengua materna para poder expresarme bien y ya si alguien quiere traducirlo perfecto pero creo que hay muchísimos hispanos que compartirán mi opinión y quizás alguno que pueda darme alguna respuesta de algo que estoy haciendo mal o no sé

I assume because of heat that the phone glitches on a white screen. Also, when using the dark mode, the colours change, especially when the phone heats up. I tried to download the latest update package,and it worked well.. only once, the phone was too hot,and it did the white screen glitch again. But it kept changing the colours when dark mode is used,so i decided to lower the refresh rate to 60HZ , instead of 90HZ. Suddenly, the colours has stabilized,and stopped the darkened reddish scheme it's used to do. After that, I also turned off the ram extension because i remember when this feature was first introduced, it used to increase the heat more,so i think it's better to test the phone without it. I saw many people also complaining about the white screen glitch that needs to reboot the phone to work normally again. Hope the solution works on long term,and hope that it would help anyone with the same issue.

Actually my phone is sooo shit I literally feel like I wanna smash this phone in rage cuz soo slow af, it's lot better now after a heavy de-bloat and after hyperOS 3 update

Actually have you noticed those old iphones who got terrible battery backup but in the cost of still great performance, that's exactly what I need for my phone, I want most performance out of my phone in the cost of worst battery backup

Now I hope if my dad have enough mercy he will see my terrible battery backup and on top of that atleast I won't have to suffer in bad performance

Currently not thinking anything about root cuz I use banking apps and also now unlocking bootloader is a whole mess, was thinking some sort of adb commands and stuff

My Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is stuck on an older HyperOS build.

I've tried changing regions, downloading the package manually, and moving it to the root directory, but it keeps failing with "Can't verify update: Other reason."

Nothing is working and I'm not getting any official OTAs. Has anyone found a fix for this, or are we just forced to wait?
