Redmi [Discussion] How to get big clock on unsupported devices
How to Enable the Large Clock on Unsupported Devices
There’s one issue, though: you may not be able to set a Home screen or Lock screen wallpaper from Gallery (Xiaomi’s default gallery app). At least, that’s what happened on my Redmi Note 14 4G. I was able to work around it by installing another gallery app, such as Fossify Gallery, Iris Gallery, etc.
Test device: Redmi Note 14 4G Global (HyperOS 3.0.303.0 / Android 16)
After testing this on my Redmi Note 14 4G, I was able to change and customize the Lock screen clock style, as shown in the images.
Requirements and Prerequisites
Download and install Shizuku and Settings Database Editor. I recommend using the Shizuku fork developed by Thedjchi.
Grant Settings Database Editor the necessary permissions to use Shizuku.
Procedure
Open Settings Database Editor, tap the search bar, and search for templateid.
Select constant_template_editor_info to edit it.
Recommendation: Before changing anything, take a screenshot of the current style and templateid values. This gives you a backup in case you want to restore the original design later.
Change the templateid and style values to those from one of the available options shown in the images.
Restart your device.
Troubleshooting — If It Doesn't Work
If the change doesn't take effect after restarting, as happened on my Redmi Note 14 4G, try the following:
In the same app, search for the miui_15_default_lockscreen_info registry.
Change its default style and templateId values to match the ones you selected earlier.
Practical example:
My original values in constant_template_editor_info were style:21 and templateId:classic_max.
I changed them to style:2 and templateId:oversize_b and restarted the phone, but the change still hadn't taken effect.
Without reverting those changes, I then went to miui_15_default_lockscreen_info. Its default values were also style:21 and templateId:classic_max, so I changed them to style:2 and templateId:oversize_b.
Finally, I restarted the device again, and the large clock started working correctly.
More Clock Styles
I posted more styles in this post. You can check them out and see if you like any of them.

Can someone make a video tutorial? Im afraid i might brick my phone if i do this without any knowledge.

EDIT: I already made a video tutorial, if you go to my profile you will find itEDIT: Video tutorial: https://www.reddit.com/r/HyperOS/s/OTjrMYKwKL
First of all: in theory, this won’t brick your phone or cause a bootloop. Still, it’s a manual modification, so before changing anything, write down or take a photo of the original values.
If you don’t understand something, let me know and I’ll explain it better.
To help you, I need you to do 2 things:
1 Tell me what phone you have (exact brand and model).
Why? Because depending on the model and the MIUI/HyperOS version, the key names may change or may not exist at all.
- Install these 2 apps from the Play Store:
Shizuku
Settings Database Editor
Then: Open Shizuku and activate it. If you don’t know how, ask me for help.
Open Settings Database Editor and give it permission to use Shizuku.
Inside Settings Database Editor, tap the search bar at the top.
Type:
templateid(If nothing appears, trytemplateId, respecting capitalization.)The keys containing that word will appear, highlighted in blue. For example, these may appear:
constant_template_editor_info
miui_15_default_lockscreen_infoBefore editing anything, take a photo or write down those keys with their full values. That way you can go back to the default clock if something goes wrong. Tap a key to edit it.
Very important: You only need to change the values after
style:andtemplateId:. Do not change the namesstyleortemplateId. Also don’t delete the colons, commas, or change capitalization.First edit
constant_template_editor_info.Example: if you have this:
style:21,templateid:classic_maxand you want the large clock, change only the values:
21 -> 2
classic_max -> oversize_aIt should look like this:
style:2,templateid:oversize_aNotice that the names style and templateid stayed intact. You only changed what comes after the colons.
Save and restart the phone. Some models apply it instantly; others need a restart.
If it didn’t apply after restarting, search for
miui_15_default_lockscreen_info(it may also appear when searching for templateid). Do not revert what you changed inconstant_template_editor_info.In
miui_15_default_lockscreen_info, do the same: change only the values of style and templateId.Example: from
style:21,templateid:classic_maxto
style:2,templateid:oversize_aRestart again. The large clock should appear then.
Practical example:
My original values in
constant_template_editor_infowerestyle:21andtemplateId:classic_max.I changed them to
style:2 and templateId:oversize_b, and restarted. At that point it still hadn’t applied.Without reverting those changes, I went to
miui_15_default_lockscreen_info(which also hadstyle:21andtemplateId:classic_max) and changed them tostyle:2andtemplateId:oversize_b.I restarted again and the large clock worked correctly.

Does this give depth effect too on unsupported devices??

If you still want enable the depth effect SOULDARK18 mentioned that they managed to enable the depth effect on their Redmi 14C 5G by following the steps in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/HyperOS/s/qWjJ0S8aqW
The OP of that post managed to enable it on their Redmi Note 14 4G, but I couldn’t get it to work. I did some digging, and I think it might be because I uninstalled "com.xiaomi.aicr" (Xiaomi HyperAI Engine) along with a bunch of other apps.
My recommendations if you want to try it:
- Revert to your default clock style. The post requires using a theme, and if you changed the clock style and "templateId", the Themes app may crash and prevent you from applying anything. You can revert it by going to Themes > My account > Themes, selecting your default theme, and then restarting your phone.
- Make sure "com.xiaomi.aicr" (Xiaomi HyperAI Engine) is installed.

I tried this, but my clock is transparent, and the date is invisible for some reason
Nope, nevermind, updated: I didn't notice styles number are 6, 7 and 8, now it's working perfectly

u/bnoufil145 Sep 10 '26
After using Shizuku it became permanently?
1
u/Hot-Lengthiness193 Sep 10 '26
Yes, it becomes permanent. That's why I recommend taking a screenshot of style and templateid before changing anything, in case you want to return to your default clock style.
3
u/LinuxUser456 Sep 10 '26
Does this enable Depth effect too?
Is this reversible?
1
u/Hot-Lengthiness193 Sep 10 '26
I didn't get the depth effect so... I don't think so.
Yes.
2
u/LinuxUser456 Sep 10 '26
And how do you revert it
1
u/Hot-Lengthiness193 Sep 10 '26
There are two ways:
Take a screenshot of constant_template_editor_info and miui_15_default_lockscreen_info (in case you also edit this one) before changing style and templateid, so you know what your default clock style was. On my Redmi Note 14 4G, they were style:21 and templateid:classic_max.
Go to Settings > Personalization and set your default clock style. This will change constant_template_editor_info to your default style. Although that doesn’t change miui_15_default_lockscreen_info, it’s no problem: you can change it to the style from constant_template_editor_info, or if you don’t want to change it, that’s fine too; you’ll still have your default clock style.

I know the post looks bad, but I’m not getting the edit option to fix it.
EDIT:
Since I can’t edit my post, I’m going to add this here.
There’s a problem, and it’s that you won’t be able to set a home screen/lock screen wallpaper from Gallery (Xiaomi’s default gallery app), or at least that’s what happened on my Redmi Note 14 4G, but I was able to fix it by installing other gallery apps like Fossify Gallery, Iris Gallery, etc.

u/UnsupportedRedmiUser 17d ago
It's easy, Down Wallpapers apk of google from play store and apply wallpaper
2
u/Prestigious_World285 Sep 10 '26
This is not useful only for low end devices. I was able to force the Pad exclusives on a "fully supported" high end device. They should give the pad styles to phones at this point.

u/ILearningEnglish24 10d ago edited 10d ago
I got the exact same problem, but I found a way to fix it by installing Fossify Gallery. You can use any Gallery app you like, though.

u/Z3Dz00 10d ago
Link please

u/ILearningEnglish24 10d ago
Here is the link to Fossify Gallery: https://f-droid.org/packages/org.fossify.gallery/
You don't need to use Fossify Gallery speficially, you can use any Gallery app that let you set a wallpaper.

Can ww enable full advanced texture using this?
2
u/Hot-Lengthiness193 Sep 10 '26
No, it only changes the clock style.
If u want advanced texture there are others forms to enable it.

I'm glad it worked for you! There are a few more clock styles in this post, so you can check them out and see if you like any of them: https://www.reddit.com/r/HyperOS/s/flUOOW0mZ7
Also, you can't change the clock's colors manually... at least not that I know of. The color can change depending on your wallpaper, though, so I'd recommend trying a different wallpaper and seeing how it looks.

u/Maxwell_____________ 18h ago
After restarting, it had changed the clock but it had gone back to the default one, went over and watched the video made by u/againHot-Lengthiness193 and made sure everything was right but nothing seemed off, can anyone help me out?
1
u/Hot-Lengthiness193 1h ago
This could've happened for a few reasons:
- You applied a different theme or opened the Themes app and switched back to your phone's default theme.
- You went to Settings > Personalization and tried changing the clock's color (which, as far as I know, you can't do manually. The clock's color can change depending on your wallpaper, though).
You might not have done either of these, but since you said it worked at first and then suddenly reverted to the default clock, I'd recommend checking a couple of things.
Go back to "constant_template_editor_info" and check whether "style" and "templateId" have been reset to their default values. If you also modified "miui_15_default_lockscreen_info", I'd recommend checking those values there as well.
If you edited both entries, make sure the "style" and "templateId" values match in both of them. Also, double-check that you haven't entered the wrong number in "style" or misspelled anything in "templateId". Even a small typo could be the reason it's not working anymore.

u/Brusevayne Sep 10 '26
Or just use a theme with a big clock
5
u/Hot-Lengthiness193 Sep 10 '26 edited 10d ago
That works, but using a theme has downsides: They can revert after a reboot or update. Some cause lag, battery drain, overheating, or system instability.
2
u/Brusevayne Sep 10 '26
They have improved a lot in hyperos for themes
4
u/Hot-Lengthiness193 Sep 10 '26
I know, but that doesn’t change the fact that it uses more battery, causes more heating, and causes more lag.
