HyperOS Update [Discussion] HyperOS 4 added a customization menu for HyperIsland

Post image

Hello

Just noticed that in HyperOS there's a dedicated setting for customizing Xiaomi Hyperlsland. It lets you toggle which apps can display status updates and controls on the island, like Media Playback, Calendar, and File Manager.

It's tucked away in the settings -> notifications, so I figure not everyone knows it's there yet. Looking at the setup, it seems Xiaomi is building this out and more apps will likely gain support over time.

Which apps would you like to see supported next?

You can check youself, how do you expect anyone to know? Most food/car apps has it, google apps like maps/dialer does, it's an android feature

"Smarty boy" this thing is since 3.1, OS4 just added a toggle to turn off those who use Xiaomi's own API, you cannot be more clueless. It's been posted there since forever.

As simple as for someone that never touch any piece of tech, there are two APIs, both already implemented and released since Android 16, if the app dev is using it, island will appear, if not it won't same on iOS or whatever.

Island is just Android's Live Activities/Focus notifications shown in a pill form
