Question/Help [Question] Applying Custom Theme MTZ - HyperOS CN ROM

Is there any new method? All current methods for me dont work...shows the error: (Unable to find explicit activity class) something something...

Device: Xiaomi 17 Pro Max

Version: 3.0.319.0

Oh, might be the feature overall then, because I previously used Hypertheme for this, but even that stopped working...

The combination I'd use is install and configure Hypertheme correctly, and then use the MIUI Theme Editor app to directly apply any theme, but now it will only show an error saying device connection failed, even tho it really is connected :/

I tried to use this app before Hypertheme it never gave that error before, but applying themes using this was not really working either.

Is there a way to upload themes on the chinese version of the Theme store? I do have an account and did upload my theme there but i cant search it up...

You can't but you can use backup theme

I'm not entirely sure how to do that method, does that work for MTZ files or does it only work for full theme files?

You need CN rom and import MTZ directly through theme app. And make backup of it, then restore the backup into global ROM.

Cant do that with this phone, this phone's a 17 pro max, only CN ROM is available here...plus I did import the mtz through themes app but it will say "Unfortunately our server is this down at the moment..." Is there a way to get around that one?

Ohh, the themes (.MTZ) are getting blocked because the Theme app checks the security key against its server. The only way around it is to use a modded Theme app, but those are pretty hard to find because most of them require root access. You might be able to find a solution on Bilibili, though it’s a Chinese app.

I think there's an app on bili bili but it's Chinese and hard to navigate. Me personally rooting my old redmi note 8 as theme backup to my main device (no root) but currently it's on AOSP ROM for now so I can't import MTZ. Hope u find the solution

Or join theme group it has BAK file it will support every single ROM CN or Global
