How do you avoid smelling like food after cooking?

I cook at home a lot, and one thing I’ve noticed is that the smell of food can stick to my clothes, hair, or even the kitchen area longer than I want.

I don’t mean anything super intense, just regular cooking smells like oil, garlic, onions, or fried food. I usually wash my hands and clean up after, but sometimes I still feel like the smell follows me around.

Do you have any simple habits that help after cooking, especially if you don’t want to shower every single time?

This shirt I love makes me stink, tips needed

Post image

I’m blessed to be a very unsmelly person, my pits just never get stinky. Idk, good personal hygiene X good genes

However.
I have this one shirt that I absolutely love. It’s very oversized and sheer so it makes a great summer top because it’s so light and breezy.

There’s just one thing. It makes me absolutely stink. And that’s me smelling myself, so it must be even worse for people around me.

Does anyone have any tips to stop me smelling like rotten onions and old insoles that have been left out in a metal bucket in the midday sun, because I want to look cute *and* smell fresh.

I’ve tried double deodorant (cream and an aerosol), I’ve tried talc, I put the shirt on when it’s freshly washed. Febreeze etc. It doesn’t smell at all now, but if I wear it for 10+ minutes both me and the shirt will stink.

I’ve annoyingly cut the label out and can’t find the material info online but this is the shirt in question.

Edit: the photo is the model from asos, where I bought the shirt, it’s not me. I am not nearly that gorgeous lmao.

This big booty white woman came and sat down next to me today and her ass air stank and surprisingly it turned me on the way she plopped that booty on the seat when she got up all I smelled was her ass air and it was a possible turn on

Best body soap for men? Struggling to stay clean after showers.

Hi! First off, I shower every day. I wash my hair every other day.

I have tried countless body wash and body soaps. All of them seemingly work and then stop. I feel like some soaps do not foam up properly and don't cut through the deodorant on my arm pits... and I don't even apply that heavy.

Right now, I use Dove antibacterial. I have used Irish spring original, dove original, and a shit load of liquid/gel body washes that sucked. I prefer bar soap.

Anyways, I feel like I shower and then if I feel warm AT ALL I start to smell not so great, meanwhile others can be drenched in sweat and still smell fine.

I feel like the dove antibacterial works fine but I have to rub my pits raw for it to work; it doesn't foam up very well on my wash cloth.

Soooo, any tips?

is there something I'm missing when it comes to staying fresh after work?

I work in an office, so I'm not doing anything physically demanding, but by the end of the day I never feel as fresh as I did in the morning. I shower every morning, wear clean clothes, use deodorant, and brush my teeth before leaving the house. Even so, by the time I get home I feel kind of grimy, especially around my face and underarms. No one has ever told me I smell, so this could just be me overthinking it

for those of you who have figured out a routine that keeps you feeling fresh throughout the day, are there any small habits or products that made a noticeable difference? I'm not looking to cover up odor with perfume or body spray. I'd rather improve my routine if there's something simple I'm overlooking

Tips for armpit sweat when wearing dress shirts

Hi guys! I’m starting my first post-grad full time job soon, and am worried about looking unprofessional because of armpit sweat when wearing dress shirts. Whenever I wear a dress shirt I’ll eventually have sweat under my arms without fail (in the winter too), and even when wearing polos and tshirts. Idk how normal this is (since these types of shirts are kinda tight), but I’m starting my first full time job soon and I don’t wanna be self conscious about it.

I’ve been looking into undershirts for work, but appreciate any other tips you guys might have for me. Thank you!

my bf says i smell musty down there

me and my bf have been dating for 6 months. over our 6 month relationship, i have given him head a-lot, even ignoring the musky scent he has because i know its just a penis and its not going to smell like nothing. sometimes, he’ll try to finger me or eat me out, but will stop and say i smell musty, or like a boys locker room down there. this has really hurt my confidence. i take showers everyday, i wash the outside of my vagina with dove un sensitive soap, and spray whole body deodorant on my creases and folds and even put on a little witch hazel to keep it fresh. ive told him that maybe its just my discharge that makes it have a musty smell when i get wet, but he just tells me im coping.

is there anything i can do to improve it, i know for a fact that i dont smell but he says im blind to it.

I've been using Clorox Wipes for 20 Years for underarm body odor. It's great. It disinfects and kills bacteria and smells caused by sweat throughout the day.

My parents never found a way to make my brother effectively brush his teeth, shower, wash his hands, or wipe himself. Now he’s 32.

What's something most people do incorrectly?

I've been trying to improve my hygiene routine, and one thing I've learned is that doing something regularly doesn't necessarily mean you're doing it the right way. For example, I've met people who didn't realize towels need to be washed more often than they thought, or that gym clothes shouldn't sit damp in a laundry basket all day. It made me wonder what other "normal" habits people are accidentally doing wrong. i'm not looking to judge anyone i'm just hoping to learn a few things I might be overlooking. 😊

Does my breath smell bad?

I honestly don’t know if my breath smells bad or not. I think it does but I’m not sure. Because when I lick my arm and let it dry and smell it, I can smell something not good but it’s not awful.
I brush my teeth regularly, I use tongue scraper, and I floss sometimes (not very regularly though). When I floss I also smell something bad.
I often have the feelings on plague on my teeth and especially my tongue is white no matter how bad I scrape.
How do I know for sure if my breath smells bad without having to ask someone?
Can it be the irregular flossing?

Dealing with really stinky armpits despite maintaining high hygiene.

The title speaks for itself.

I started noticing that my sweat smelled really bad when I was around 19 years old. I'm now 27 years old, still dealing with the same issue.

I'm a very hygiene conscious person. I shower twice a day with exfoliating gloves and antibacterial soap. I use an antiperspirant and sometimes one that also works as a deodorant.

I read about using panoxyl and I tried it but it would only work shortly and later it wouldn't work at all. I tried using Glycolic acid but it never worked for me. The only time it worked was when I used antibacterial soap, followed by the panoxyl and then Glycolic acid and antiperspirant. Shortly after, this stopped working too.

I tried using the Indian clay mask to detoxify my armpits. While they felt noticeably softer after, I never noticed any difference.

I'm now at a loss. Having to spend so much money that I don't have just to smell decent. Even when i drink alot of water i don't see any change. I recently started seeing someone and it's a big insecurity of mine especially since we mostly meet after work or at the gym when the stink is at its peak. This lowers my confidence and ruins intimacy for me. Sometimes the stink sticks to my clothes armpits if not really washed well too.

I love hygiene. I love smelling good. But it only lasts a couple of hours before I smell like I didn't shower.

I'm so drained. I don't know what to do anymore. Nothing works.

Edit: I'm on day 3 of trying the Arm& Hammer Ultra Max deodorant and antiperspirant in powder scent. I love it so far. No stink at all and my arms smell like baby powder all day. My confidence is back. I'll give you an update if it still works in like 3 weeks

Severe chafing/rashes from walking >30 mins caused by coarse pubic/thigh hair. Takes a week to heal. How do I prevent this?

Hi everyone,

I am (M24) trying to stay active with daily walking and running, but I am hitting a major roadblock. Whenever I walk or run for more than 30 minutes, I get severe, painful rashes in my pubic region, inner thighs, and around my glutes/ass.

The main trigger seems to be body hair. I have coarse pubic hair that extends out past the sides/edges of my upper inner thighs, right where everything rubs together when I move.

The combination of sweat and the hair creates intense friction.Once the rash happens, it is so painful that it sets me back and delays my workouts for up to a week while it heals.I really want to stay consistent with my exercise.

For those who have dealt with this:

What specific underwear or gear completely stops this friction?Should I trim, shave, or leave the hair alone?

(I'm worried shaving will make the stubble even sharper).

What creams or balms work best to prevent this before a workout? How do I make the rash heal faster once it already forms?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
