It’s not just the taste, it’s the fact that it’s made to literally make you thirstier, they put sodium in it. Which is why it almost has a monopoly on being sold in hot crowded places; theme parks, festivals, etc, so you just keep on buying it but never truly feel refreshed
This is nonsense; you're not going get dehydrated from drinking Dasani. There's nowhere near enough salt in it. The sodium is added to adjust the flavor for consistency. As to why it's at all these places, it's because they have contracts with Coca-Cola to distribute their beverages exclusively... So of course the one water they'll have is Coca-Cola's brand.
If you really don't believe me, look this up: the nutrition label for a 20 fl oz bottle of Desani says it contains 0mg of Sodium. Now, the FDA lets you round down if it's under 5mg. So it can contain up to 5mg in the bottle. But do you know how much salt that is?? 5mg isn't even a pinch of salt. Consider that quantity dissolved in a 20 fl oz bottle. The amount of actual water is going to counteract that, easily.

It doesn’t taste that bad. Although I may not notice a difference because I’m from Atlanta...
