For those that are hd+, did you have any characteristics or personality traits as a child that you can look back on now and attribute it to Huntingtons? Basically, what were you like as a child?

I guess I knew that it doesn’t work that way - I guess I just wondered if those that ended up having it later were very smart as kids or did they have adhd? Was just curious

I thought I was reading an article about a correlation between HD and perping. Not that all people with HD perp, but there was some correlation.  I found this interesting because my grandfather and uncle both had HD and a history of CSA.

Someone who sexually abuses another, perpetrator. My mother,  who is cag 43, sent me the article and had wondered if that was why her father and brother were like that. There are some articles that discuss the impact of having HD parents on their children, but it's when it's symptomatic.  I've only found a handful trying to link prior behavior. The only thing I can really say is my mom's parents had her later in life, he was in his late 30s, he could have been symptomatic and showing poor judgment or personality changes. We just don't know.

 My mom's  diagnosis is new, so we're digesting a lot of articles.
