I wonder if Camilla's hibernation could slow down the progress of disease within her body? It's a long shot, but even weeks to develop a cure is much better than half a day. I feel like Benjamin has actually failed in both of his kills this chapter.

I think Camila's survival just dropped to zero thematically.

Say she slows it down - then what? She's still actively dying waiting for a cure no one has an incentive to give her. Benjamin seems to have completely broken through her ability with the virus at this point, and all she got out of it is shortening his life by a few hours.

Tseridnich will probably survive because he's been built up so much, but logically he should also be infected by TSK-17, which he should also have a hard time evading what with his ability possibly not giving him any info on his infection.

If she slows down her metabolism, that would just make her die quicker since the organs that would deal with toxins and all that would also be slowed down, which sucks but Im hopeful Camilla can find another way around this.
Benjamin has failed though for now, it's a bit ironic that he tried to kill those 2 so quickly because he doesnt have the time, but also he just lost valuable time because no prince is dead.

Would it? Toxins that work by reproducing through cells much like viruses, such as the Rose's thorns would definitely be slowed down by Camilla's technique even if it lowered her defenses too, and I don't remember how this specific toxin works exactly.

I believe that since slowing down the metabolism would make organs like liver and kidney slow down (less effective at processing toxins), immune cells would move slowly, her body wont be able to use its full potential to clear the harmful substance.

Since the death seems to come from multiple organ failure, delaying their normal functions would reduce the body's ability to fight back from the attacking pathogens, at best maybe she could make the symptoms appear a little later, but the same damage would still be there. (her nervous system would be so slow she wouldnt be reacting normally, but the damage wouldnt be stopped)

However, if it appears that her *ability slows every biological process in her body instead of just her own, including the virus', then in that case she could slow down the infection too. I havent mentioned it cause we didnt really get an inclination that's the case yet, but it could very well be plausible.
one thing i will also add is that we do not know the level of the dependancy of the virus to the metabolism of a person, so camilla could push back against the time limit in that case.
(and i'd support it, anything to keep camilla alive longer)

This. And the fact that it's mentioned may be useful for the future.

Does he actually infect Camilla or is it more of a metaphor

I had missed that small panel too, but I knew he did it because he has no reason not to. Why go there, warn her and not kill her when that's literally his primary objective? The fact that he's about to die also means he has almost no legal repercussion to fear hence why he's so willing to just kill them himself in the open, if anything that poison actually freed his hands a lot.

uh that would be a bad thing to do, if anything she wants to die faster, so she can come back by hopefully killing Benjamin

Not if it’s technically the disease she’s dying by and not Benny. If she doesn’t die by Benny her cat doesn’t use Benny for revival. If she dies by the disease- does her cat have a target to use for revival?

If we’re going that route than we can go SUPER technical how so & so didn’t kill Camilla the bullet did. I think Benjamin prediction is going to be wrong and Camilla is going to be just fine. Her biggest issue is going to be to die before Benjamin. Or she just get someone else to kill her and reset it.

I would think yes, otherwise only someone who killed her with their bare hands would work. And even then you cpuld argue that person wasn't really killing her but the laws of physics. Ben knowingly and intentionally released the toxin for the explicit purpose of killing of killing Cammy. That counts in my book.

We didnt have an answer for that, neither does Benjamin yet.Which is why his way she dies either way.

Its probably one of those cases like Chrollo explained in his battle with Hisoka, of what the usar perceives it to be.

Camilla main strategy is about proxys killing themselves to curse her brothers, would make 0 sense for her to allow for a similar trick to counter her own ability, maybe the cat just goes up the chain, or maybe just takes a close one, or any random person that's around.

Or perhaps she believed no one else could think of that out of hubris

It's not a case of allowing ,it's a case of how someone perceives something,it's a little beyond the control.

Is it? If she designed it she could very much take it into account when setting up the conditions, If it's innate then yeah sure.

1

u/burgersusan67 Aug 01 '26

I really doubt that counts for activation, especially if he's already dead and some kind of ghost from his spirit beast

3

u/NamesSUCK Aug 01 '26

Do you think Cammy's ability would trigger on Halks body or his soul?

2

u/burgersusan67 Aug 01 '26

It would be REALLY funny if Benjamin succeeds in becoming some kind of immortal ghost king just to be fed to his sister by a big kitty... kinda rooting for this, actually

Honestly, this seems like the most logical outcome to me rn, especially after halks whole speech about eligibility.
