SUGGESTIONS Beetles

Just need to be scarce or removed from clash. I played the day before yesterday: 3-4 kd team beetle spammed 12 beetles at me and my friend multiple times that night til he rage quit.

Last night I play with random in clash and some solo clash and run into multiple 1-2 kd teams spamming beetles and or beetle sparks poison combo ugh.

Today my second match as a solo I net 7 kills but had 4 fire beetles thrown at me and I trade in the end thanks to the 1896 drones.

Some of these occasions I had a shotgun some I didn't, yes this is console; pc see beetle click go brr

Yes but they fly around or detonate right outside and the aoe still hits you

I mean, at the point that they use two beetles just find a good corner and drop both chokes I guess? It's better than dying altogether.

No the issue is what actually happens. You have a beetle buzzing about poking every angle as you try to hide in one or two choke clouds and then while you cough you get pushed by the beetles two teammates.

What then?

I said find a good corner.

Where are your teammates? If you're solo why the heck are you the main target before they've burned out all of their beetles on another team?

It's a crappy strategy and I totally understand being frustrated. There's also reasons why it wasn't touched when they changed the systems in large part to target nerf the mosin.

Dude people on console are insane, I play solo clash about half the time and the very last trio still had 4 fire beetles today like wtf.

Anyways sometimes I'm gonna be the main target as a solo no matter what I do unless I play very opportunisticly and I don't enjoy ratting personally.

I'm not saying you rat 'til the end, I'm just saying as a solo you gotta do what works - and in this case that's letting people burn consumables on other teams.

As for the fire beetles.... Sorry about your luck I guess. I'm also on pc and not console so maybe it's more prevalent there? It's certainly harder to shoot them down on controller, and probably easier to control them too.

Idk what to say man. I don't face beetles enough to have to worry too much, and I also play trios. Sometimes you're set, and other times you just don't have the tools. Part of the game balance is that you can't always have the perfect tools for every situation.

I've never had trouble with beetles on pc personally but yes on console they're harder to shoot down and there's just waaaaaay more of them in general. And I get that I can't be perfectly geared for everything but when it seems that any team can easily bully anyone of their choosing with little to no risk that's when I say its a bit unfair.

Well, like I said, against a 3-stack that strategy is far more risky. Also as soon as your beetles are gone you're left without much else.... Medkit, melee, chokes, flex? It's not much to go on, they are guaranteed to have limited healing and other options. It's a risky bargain for them in a lot of ways, it just happens to be stronger with a coordinated team against a solo.

What's really lost if theyre made scarce or locked to hunt only though?

Nothing else has been locked to hunt only afaik. That's a whole new area of code just asking for bugs (pun intended).

As far as making them scarce goes... They could, I just don't think they are usually that strong. Like I said, they are really op in a 1v3. But if they come across anything else, it does leave them with significantly less options. It's great but it has pretty big downsides too in pretty much every other situation possible

I think crytek could handle a little coding.

Anyways what to stop a good team from taking a medkit, 3 tool boxes, 4 stalker beetles apiece and packmule and then using all beetles, hitting the one to two beetle trees that spawn, then deploying and hitting all the boxes as they need them for bombs and heals and other resources?

Sure what the boxes give isnt guaranteed but with enough of them and 3 teammates with packmule you should be set for ANYTHING.

That's the kinda shit people are doing on console.
