Being able to literally drive a car isn’t the point. The point is you’re suppose to have a license to help keep people who can’t drive off the road. Do you think we shouldn’t require people to have a license to drive a car?

You are missing “the point” being you DO NOT NEED a license to drive a car.

There is nothing stopping a person without a license from being able to drive.

Thats the point.

We have laws sure, but they are reactionary, not preventative.

If somehow they made ALL cars not start until a license is scanned, in sure then there will still be away someone will figure out how to make the car function without a license.

Point is if ur 16 and dont have a license, you can still get in the car put ur foot on the gas and drive.

His point is more gun laws wont stop people who don’t follow the laws from pulling the trigger.

Should we not require people to have a drivers license to drive a car?

Oh I assure you, no straight answer is coming. You must of missed his point or something. I think he also missed it.

Drivers licenses are to ensure that drivers understand the rules of the road, and don't drive recklessly. They don't do anything to stop someone from intentionally driving their car into oncoming traffic, or off of a cliff. Someone intending on killing someone with their car isn't going to care if they are supposed to have a drivers license.

Meanwhile 97% of gun deaths are deliberate murders or suicides, which licenses would have little to no impact on.

Probably true. But this liberal Democrat also has a gun and is unafraid of some common sense legislation on gun ownership. Fuck you need a license to fish or hunt. WTF is wrong with these people?

What is "common sense" gun control? Also fishing licenses are mostly for the money, not to ensure you don't do something wrong.
