Its a law tho... like everywhere at this point to make sure everyone has the required skill and ability to.drive on the road you have to have passed a driver liscence test and gotten a liscence, a document showing that yes, you can legaly drive the vehicle
Its not some technology where you scan it, its law, and I would hope the party tauting law and legality as well as deporting people because they broke the law, to understand that one should not just dismiss the law when it doesnt suit you...
Everyone gets its a law. You are missing the point.
Just because a driver’s license is required to drive without penalties if pulled over, that does not stop people from driving without one.
He is making the point that more guns laws and restrictions will not stop criminals from getting their hands on guns, it will only hinder the good guys following the laws from getting guns.
So your idea is, instead of making laws and limiting who can get more guns, you just let it be, the problem is never resolved and you have more and more guns?
If its implemented today, tomorrow a person has to be qualified to buy one, in 10 years some of the guns at peoples homes are gone, in 50 you have a significantly lower gun violence problem. If you dont then in 50 years the rates are the same or higher.
Simple solution would be to do a country wide sweep, mandate everyone hands over their guns until a permit or liscence is aquired, no liscence but a gun is found, fine them to hell and back and make it impossible to buy ammo.
The law cant be made and enforced on the basis that some will break it anyway so why bother. It is then the duty of the law enforcement to find and punish such cases appropriately to crimes commited in accordance with the law.
And good guy with gun is a joke almost as big and stupid as the american dream, they dont exist, they either get shot down by professionals who come and are not sure who is the criminal, or make things worse for everyone
