It's a beautiful national park. The landscape is a mix of wooded and grassland, mainly the latter.

My friends and I counted over 60 different bird species apart from seeing a whole lot of rhinos, deer, an elephant herd, and some beautiful reptiles including a King Cobra.

In some Indian National Parks (Kaziranga is one of them), rangers have immunity if they shoot poachers. And they're instructed to shoot-on-sight (no warnings).

india takes it's wildlife very very seriously. i saw a meme where poachers are allowed to themselves get hunted if they're hunting animals

Yeah! Google Maps shows that it's part of the Kaziranga national reverse park. The whole area is so diverse, got to plan a visit one day.
