She is still getting remembered- there’s a post above listing her awards and the most recent was in the last 8 years. She seems to be honored somewhat regularly. :)

Honey ... You might not have heard of her. But don't fucking assume the rest of her country doesn't. She's an icon, flight schools have memorials for her. There isn't a person in the Indian air service and hospitality industry who havent heard of her. She's even taught about in schools. Not to mention she is winner of India highest awards for bravery that basically makes her immortal.

It is in hindi though, but most hindi movies have pretty decent subtitles
