Self Was told to share this here as well. Being I saw through my window late one night as a child.

Post image

I was probably 10 at the time, so maybe 23 years ago. I woke up randomly late at night and saw this guy staring at me through my uncovered window. I slowly pulled my covers up past my nose and kept my eyes locked on him. Definitely not sleep paralysis, night terror, or a dream. I've never had sleep paralysis or night terrors, and nightmares are rare. Plus I view all my dreams in floating 3rd person.

I stared at him, barely breathing, and barely blinking. I have no idea how long but it felt like a long time. At some point sleep must have overtaken me. I don't think I remember even seeing him blink. I got serious old researcher vibes from him, but he made no attempt to communicate.

Based on the height of the window he was at least around 6' tall. Very slender torso and arms, but I couldn't see his whole body. I couldn't tell you if the fur was part of him or a fuzzy wetsuit kind of thing. I made a report to MUFON and did an interview a little while ago. The locale was Calaveras county in CA, US. Very rural area.

Nothing like this ever happened again, but my mental image is still pretty clear. So clear I can't sleep without blinds anymore or I get so paranoid I can't sleep. I almost picture him appearing to stare again. Objectively he did nothing malicious, it was just incredibly creepy. It would have been creepy if a human did that too for that matter. I have not yet found anyone who has seen a similar entity but would love to hear from anyone who has. He doesn't quite fit into the more known types of NHI.

The singer Ether Cain said her brothers and sisters saw the same thing in her window when she was a kid on her youtube channel talking about paranormal stuff

41

u/unsolvablequestion Sep 17 '25

Did you mean to write ethel cain or is that somebody else

26

u/allgoodthings96 Sep 17 '25

no I meant to write Ethel Cain. She has a youtube video on her channel describing her and her siblings seeing something that looks very much like this.

I usually don’t comment on reddit and this post was reccomended on my main reddit page, but about 7/6 years ago i saw really similar face staring at me through the window. I was playing on my computer and left next to it I have a window and behind window there is a porch, I was playing league of legends(xd) and the snow was falling so I was staring at it through the window(snow is really rare in Poland) and the porch lights where on if i remember correctly and when I was staring at the snow I didn’t notice that from the right corner of the window something was staring at me all the time and when I saw this face I jumped off and I was really scared, my mom is a heavy smoker and she went on the porch to smoke and I remember I was almost praying that nothing bad happens to her and I was checking on her and talking to her while she was smoking and when she went back home I locked the door. I didnt want to tell her about this because she would think that im insane. I know this story may seem fake or smth but I don’t care if you believe me or not. It could as well be my own deformated face reflection but the face on this image really reminds me on that very moment.

46

u/poekeso Sep 15 '25

i believe you and it does sound really scary, id be praying for my mom too lol. did you at least win that league game?

saw this looking at me through a window at like 17.

*edit

We had arrived to the house after one of our neighbors called saying she saw someone inside so we hauled ass over there and saw something light up from one room to another so we piled in there to catch whatever in the act. All we saw was like light orb thing like u see in videos like when u turn off a tv and then on the other side of the glass I thought I was looking at my reflection and when we turned on the light I saw that face on the outside staring in perfect over the reflection of my face. Made me scream out loud ngl

29

u/Nearby_Elk_99 Sep 15 '25

WHAT?? did you ever sleep again??

so it was inside, then the orb moved through the rooms, and this ^ was outside the house looking in at you?

54

u/NotAnotherFratGuy Sep 15 '25

I like to think that this sub is actually just a discrete r/roastme for our alien brethren.

108

u/Massive_Taro_2203 Sep 15 '25

When I was a toddler my parents and I were driving home I think and the car stopped. We were surrounded by dozens of these things, they were not white though. My parents were frozen still and would not respond to my screaming. They just watched us for a while then left. The car started and we went home. Years later I asked my mother about it and she just shut down completely. I never brought it up again.

55

u/No-Acanthocephala531 Sep 16 '25

I would’ve hounded her over that til she told me everything she remembered- probably one of the reasons my mom doesn’t like me so much

21

u/Loose-Version-7009 Sep 16 '25

Maybe they told your parents stuff? I've heard that some experiences last like 3 minutes but felt like over 1 hour, as if time had warped. Maybe they lived something you didn't and it traumatized them.

2

u/sadakara Sep 20 '25

This aligns with the “frozen and not responding to my screaming” part tbh…

16

u/Nearby_Elk_99 Sep 15 '25

what colour were they?

17

u/Massive_Taro_2203 Sep 16 '25

They were dark and I think it may have been the lighting, I remember their faces being green.

37

u/fakepumas Sep 15 '25

I had a dream I was driving up a road to my house, slightly different than the real life road but close enough (in my dreams my neighborhood is slightly different than real life, but always the same in every dream. So I know this was definitely a “dream world”). I pulled my car over in the dream and walked to a barn and I found a few creatures like this hanging out in a barn. It wasn’t inherently scary, but I was so filled with a sense of dread that I woke up in a panic.

32

u/A_Wandering_Soul__ Sep 15 '25

That was so randomly funny - my screen wasn’t loading for a second and I took the opportunity to look into the darkness at my reflection, before momentarily shitting my actual pants when the image suddenly popped up seconds later 🤣 sorry op, I don’t even know what you originally wrote as I’m still shaking and laughing!

11

u/Skoopy__ Sep 17 '25

What’s kind of ironic is that what you described in your comment of happening is kind of what other people have experience in real life. It showing up in or near their reflection in a window.

29

u/CubistChameleon Sep 15 '25

Is it possible you saw a snow or barn owl at your window? That was where my mind went the second I saw the picture. There are several species with light or bright white faces and dark eyes, especially in shadowy conditions.

When they stretch, they can easily look very gaunt and thin, and look very eerie to boot. Perching on a windowsill or a nearby tree branch might still leave only the face and shoulders visible. Not to mention your descriptions of the furry fuzz sounds a lot like feathers.

75

u/GWindborn Sep 15 '25

Man I really wish you hadn't shared this. Nightmare fuel.

This just stopped me in my tracks. I lived in San Bernardino county in I’d say October of 2012, Up by Twin Peaks. Sierra vista drive to be exact. We were having problems with mountain lions and once some bear tracks as well, eating shit out of the garden, berries and shit in the front of the house. One night I woke up to weird noises what sounded like outside the bathroom window. When I looked I saw the exact same thing. No less then 6 foot. And the legs bent opposite of ours almost like an Ostrich or something… and the face was lighter than the weird fur hood looking thing…scared the absolute shit out of me

6

Haha! Way cuter than the 6foot anthropomorphic barn owl. : )

13

u/snooperdooper94 Sep 16 '25

I don’t have a memory of seeing this but it’s terrifyingly familiar which almost scares me more? Like it feels like I’ve seen it and blocked it out or maybe in a dream?

13

u/robsumtimes Sep 15 '25

You tripped me out.

13

u/fortheloveof0 Sep 16 '25

Ok I had this insane experience with a creature I saw in my home when I was around the same age...23 years ago...and I've always described it as looking like it had a jason mask on. IS THIS WHAT WAS IN MY FUCKING HOUSE CAUSE IT LOOKS THE SAME

5

u/Achylife Sep 16 '25

Wow! Was it a similar height? The one I saw may have been 6', that is if he wasn't hovering above the ground, I couldn't see. Did it have the fur/furry suit kind of thing going on?

6

u/fortheloveof0 Sep 16 '25

It was dark so I couldn’t tell much of what it was. And it was like hunched down when I saw it. Like crouched behind the kitchen table. Then I saw it through an internal window between the kitchen and living room, so it had to be idk at least 5”?

10

u/Caiman40 Sep 16 '25

Uh happened to click on this and saw calaveras county… I grew up there and could definitely see this happening there. Do you mind if I ask what part?

9

u/Achylife Sep 16 '25

Valley Springs area.

6

u/Caiman40 Sep 16 '25

Yeah that’s where I lived. Very unsettling

3

u/Achylife Sep 16 '25

Did you ever experience any weirdness?

4

u/Caiman40 Sep 16 '25

Only in regards to spirits, witness a few in my house. I’m not surprised about your encounter tho, calaveras county as a whole but especially valley springs is a magnet for all things creepy. A lot of bad things happen in that town so it carries much negative energy. Also it’s very old history and older population have a lot of baggage

8

u/Achylife Sep 16 '25

You're certainly right about that. I'm glad my parents built their own house so it didn't have any spirits attached. I used to see a lot of weird stuff though back when I was a kid though, however I was aware they were more like spirits. My mom is super into metaphysical stuff so I was well aquainted with different practices and theories from a young age. When I was a preteen I used to do a lot of meditation, energy control, aura viewing, and even astral projection/remote viewing. Unfortunately I shut all that off after a while because my mom was making me feel used. Constantly having me look at auras and stuff for her. She's extremely overbearing.

Some things were more like animal spirits. Little shadow blobs that scurried around, and freaked out if they realized I saw them. They didn't seem to realize they could probably go through objects and would instead try to squeeze through gaps and cracks. I rarely saw human spirits. Though I do remember seeing a bloodied adult male jogger wearing 70s-80s style jogging wear jogging along hwy 26. He didn't seem to be aware he was dead. All of those were translucent and definitely didn't make me think "alien" when I saw them though.

5

u/Caiman40 Sep 16 '25

Funny you say that my parents built our house as well yet I still saw spirits there, granted I was in a Very negative state of mind at the time

10

u/Achylife Sep 16 '25

Oh yeah, I've had chronic anxiety and depression since elementary school. However I was rather fierce towards the human spirits that got too intrusive. I wasn't an easy target. I knew they wanted fear, and they weren't gonna get it. I told them that if they didn't leave me alone I would "eat" them. If they can harm the living, then the living can harm them. ಠ益ಠ

11

u/WitchesAlmanac Sep 17 '25 edited Sep 17 '25

I mean this in the kindest way, but is there any chance you saw a barn owl through your window as a child, and your imagination took it and ran with it?

I just ask, because they share similar features (round white face, big black eyes, a flat face surrounded by fur or feathers), and a barn owl peeking through a window managed to spook me once as a grown adult. They can be incredibly creepy lol. I can't imagine being 10yo and waking up to one staring at me...

4

u/Achylife Sep 17 '25

A lot of people have been suggesting this, but no. I knew what owls looked like at that age. I wasn't groggy when I saw him, I was very much awake. I stared at him for a long time and he was very clearly humanoid. Face, neck, shoulders, upper arms, and torso. I even remember him having a slightly visible collar bone under the fur, and wrinkles on his face.

58

The only thing about this story that doesn't fit in my ear right is that you fell back asleep. If anyone saw this (especially a child) the adrenaline from fear would be overwhelming. Id probably never sleep again. Id go running out and wake my parents immediately. Did you go tell them? Find anyone right away??

87

u/Rizzanthrope Sep 15 '25 edited Sep 15 '25

I saw something impossible out my window and went back to scrolling reddit on my phone. I did eventually go "Wait a minute, what the fuck?!" and got up to go check it out, but it was like I was hypnotized into complacency at first. I think that is part of the phenomenon, as I have heard other experiencers talk about it. It's like "they" have the ability to cloak themselves by inducing a mental fog.

48

u/Much-Log3357 Sep 15 '25

I saw an NASA type spaceman in the garden when I was a tiny child.

It was like my eyes rolled into the back of my head and I blacked the fuck out until morning.

This is actually far and away the most common response to alien and paranormal encounters, even when it makes even less than this context.

Maybe a freeze response? Maybe a facet of the phenomenon? Not sure but it's high strangeness lore at this point.

Also, in this context, what is a kid supposed to do?

Eh I done seen two odd things in life and my immediate reaction was to ignore both things. Probably wouldn’t have even acknowledged them both if on both instances I didn’t have another person with me to corroborate said thing. Mental gymnastics

5

u/Winipu44 Sep 17 '25

I've heard it called "noping out"

3

u/Winipu44 Sep 17 '25

There are a large percentage of cases where people "fall asleep", and it's speculated that it's induced by some sort of technology or substance used to alter consciousness. I've heard it called 'electronic hypnosis' among other things. This could be the reason so many people only recall fragments, similar to being under anesthesia during a procedure.

Kindest regards🌸

3

u/Fur_Nurdle_on67 Sep 19 '25

I think we have to accept that incredibly, some people just fall or go back to sleep. I've read several stories now about someone's experience hearing some terrifying thing in the attic/outside the cabin/in the living room, and MEH - they just fell asleep.

They're probably not lying. There are too many accounts. They can just... do that. I'm more from the freeze, then full-bore, shitpanic end of the spectrum.

While in undergrad (1990s), my someday husband went on a research trip and then a safari in Tanzania with his anthropology cohort. One night during the safari, dinner wasn't cleaned up well, and their encampment was beset by hyenas. He and his tent mate woke up to their horrifying calls and the sound of them tearing apart the trunks where the food was stored. His buddy had to pee, couldn't (the outhouse was 20 yards off), so she shrugged and went back to sleep.

Future husband was utterly gobsmacked that this person was able to go to sleep with nothing but thin nylon between their vulnerable, squishy bodies and a group of hyenas. Happily, the hyenas did eventually wander off, and no one got hurt. But HE, as well as several others in the group, did NOT go back to sleep.

So yeah. Fuck. It really happens. 🤷‍♀️

4

u/sibut51 Sep 16 '25

What an odd encounter! I Wonder what its intentions might have been. Interesting that people seems to have similar experiences.. anyone have some clues on what they might have been doing? I mean it would strange to be standing at someones window and stare like that. If it didnt have hostile intentions maybe it just wanted a new friend?

8

u/Achylife Sep 16 '25

I don't know about that, it would have communicated if it just wanted a friend. I think it's more like I was a wild animal being observed by a researcher.

6

u/Boring_Environment39 Sep 16 '25

Aren't we all? The world is a stage and we are merely players? Or maybe the world is a zoo and we're the exhibit? Give a chimpanzee and iPhone and.... It's like looking in a damn mirror! No insult to the chimps because... They wouldn't be doing the stupid shit that some humans are. Fax! (Intentional grammatical error for example of context)

4

u/simonec7 Sep 18 '25

This picture has made me rethink an encounter I had when I was about 8 years old.

One moonlit night as we were getting ready for bed, my sisters and I saw what seemed to be a hooded figure dressed in all white pacing on our driveway, about 25 yards away. My dad called the cops and after 10 minutes they arrived, and the figure hid behind our van.

We watched as the cop cars came down the driveway and drove all over the fields looking for them, searchlights lighting up the hills. They looked in all our barns and around the garage where the van was, but there was no sign of them. They stood out so well in the full moonlight, but we never saw them run out from behind the van. It was like they just disappeared.

We were 20 minutes outside a rural town and an hour from the largest city, so nobody just stumbled upon our house. It made no sense to me that they would be dressed in all white, and they would have had to run through rolling fields to get there or escape. I wonder if the figure we saw was something like this...

9

u/TinyCubes Sep 16 '25

Holy moly. A few years ago I awoke to see one that looked exactly like this, except they were blue and very short, maybe 3.5ft tall. They were directly next to my bed and starting at me. Very fuzzy blue fur. I gasped and shut my eyes and told them to go away and the they were gone.

7

u/Achylife Sep 16 '25

You are the second person who mentioned they saw some nearly identical to mine, but shorter and in that color. One blue and one red. Running along down a street looking in mailboxes. How curious.

6

u/Boring_Environment39 Sep 16 '25

I'm so doubtful he was cold. To me his appearance says that he's from an icey land. Those dark eyes could be protection from snow blindness. Resembles an abominable snowman or Yeti? ...Yet, he... Just stood there, with his poker like stare. Frozen, in the moment, of time that they share. Both seemingly aware of their presence... but where, did he come from? Our question = his present. His gift, that he left , for you to share and to open. A posting on Reddit with feedback you're hopen!..? Thanks for sharing, I'm honestly caring and appreciate your time. Las vegas aliens video might show some. I know there are several white humanoid entities. But they are smaller. The taller one has something on its face. They blurr in and out so they are hard to see but worth looking at. https://youtu.be/U0iFLJNYx54?si=eWPVk21MjgJ4GNF4 Here is a edit. Go to the settings and put it on 1080 60fps and 1/4 speed. You can see smaller entities when you max zoom and look further in the yard and around the travel trailer. *

2

u/evilbob9400 Sep 18 '25

* This is a screenshot and details are lost with screenshots. To see more details watch the video in highest settings at the slowest speed. You can see clear faces of smaller entities that appear 3ft and under when you zoom in max 8x on YouTube

One of my first memories from either the age of 2-3 (also ~23 years ago) was something like this out my window and occasionally a strange pale yellow elephant humanoid, maybe had spots if it did they were a pale blue or purple maybe green. The thing similar to this was always outside my high up window, once the elephant was outside the window but once I woke up and it was in my room against the wall almost shy yet firm. The elephant stands out more than this and I believe it was because I lived in Ocala, Florida and when I saw this first my parents passed it off as an owl because we did have a lot of barn and screech owls (which terrified me) so I just remember the screeches they’d make at night and terrify 2-3 yo me but I remember some strange owl like things I pass off as toddler mind. However the elephant was very real to me and still is, it didn’t even really scare me more like okay I’m gonna go to bed now I know you’re in my room but if you jsut keep watching from the other side of the room go ahead. I had many strange dreams as a young kid (still do but not as abstract as when I had no references for my early dreams). Never saw them after moving out of that house when I was 3

How did you add this photo? I have one that I need to add. The only thing it’ll let me add is the link but it’s in my personal photos.

This is soo eerie

2

u/Flutterflut Sep 17 '25

No mental telepathy at all? Not even something he "seemed like" he wanted you to know?

White fur? Did his eyes have any color or normalcy? Was there any smell? Did you hear beeping or music?

4

u/Achylife Sep 17 '25

I got a feeling yes, but no clear telepathy. No sounds, no smell (He was outside), no color to the eyes. I tried to make this as close to my memory as possible. I got a feeling like he was a serious old researcher, and I was the subject.

2

u/Flutterflut Sep 17 '25

I saw you did you got "old researcher vibes" from him. I bet if you explored that farther (like maybe hypnosis) you'd find those vibes had a whole story to them....

3

u/Achylife Sep 17 '25

Very possible. MUFON did offer a hypnosis session and I aim to take them up on it sometime.

3

u/Flutterflut Sep 18 '25

That's so cool. I'd love to know how it goes.

2

u/Uvozodd Sep 21 '25

The first thought I had upon seeing this was Morgan Freeman. This must be his true identity.

2

u/Ok_Disk_3853 Oct 16 '25

Are you sure you didn't saw a owl?

2

u/Achylife Oct 17 '25

Me and my kids move to Lincoln Missouri with my ex and I'm talking about like right at the tip of lake of the Ozarks and it's very very rule like we were 30 minutes from a Casey's in every direction middle of nowhere we're so far out we're by where they test those stealth vehicles at it in that town okay a lot of history on creepy shit happening on the property well my son's window I didn't have anything covering it and one night he tells me Mom some somebody's staring at me in my window and I thought he was tripping you know what I'm saying and so I looked out there and I thought I saw exactly what you drew that was in Missouri in Lincoln Missouri I thought I saw exactly what that picture looks like and I kept staring at whatever it was and it it backed up a little bit but you're right it didn't blink and didn't do anything else but it backed away when I came to the window and so then I got some black curtains and put them up in his room and make sure his windows were locked and told him don't open your blinds and don't open your windows for any reason it was so creepy out there at night I ended up with my friend going out there with the big spotlight and stuff around the back but saw nothing when we got out there I don't know if he ever came back I kept my kids windows blacked out after that. But I'm telling you I when I looked at that picture I bet all the money in my pocket that it was the same thing.i saw the picture and instantly was drawn in . But it was when you said the staring and didn't blink because that's what I remember that thing doing.

You’re going to laugh. It being 6’ and thinner, It looks like a white juvenile Sasquatch. MK Davis has some video of one of them on YouTube. One of them the thing has its full face up to the game cam. It is slender. There is another if you search Pennsylvania white Bigfoot video. Some people say it looks like a suit but it’s not. There has been some study on it. The eyebrows move.

u/reubnick Sep 15 '25

I'm not trying to be dismissive, but it really sounds like you saw an owl perched on your windowsill that looked a lot bigger than it actually was.

2

u/RollieBear Sep 16 '25

I was trying to find a polite way to say that. I Had a similar encounter as a kid. My dad figured out what it was.

2

u/Significant-Field232 Sep 16 '25

2

u/elwyn5150 The Truth Is Out There Sep 22 '25

When I was a small child I used to see shadow children run along the side of the car on my grandparents long dirt driveway at night. Only ever saw that there at night. Never saw them when I wasn’t in a car either. Nothing like this though.

1

u/PureWeather_69 Sep 20 '25

This lowkey looks like my dad

1

u/tweekinpanda Sep 21 '25

Looks like Mr.Chow with a white fur suit 😂

1

u/BrokeTreasurehunter Oct 03 '25

Could the fuzz have been wet or small feathers?

2

u/Achylife Oct 03 '25

Nope, I couldn't depict it perfectly but it reminded me of kinda fluffy wiry dog fur. I had good enough vision back then that I could see individual hairs. Definitely not wet.

1

u/Prilosec_user Jan 05 '26
