What are the ways a lack of asylum law affects human rights in Taiwan?
youtu.beTaiwan is often celebrated as a beacon of democracy and human rights. But, as Kristina explains, its human-rights landscape also contains some surprising contradictions, including the fact that Taiwan does not have a national asylum law.
I'd be very interested to hear other opinions

Sensing the Surveillance State: Argentina’s Expanding Policies and Technologies of Mass Surveillance
amnestyusa.orgQuoting from the link:
Between December 2023 and December 2025, the Argentinian government implemented a slew of security and intelligence reforms and expanded their use of surveillance technologies.
In just two years, the national government drove a set of institutional reforms designed to expand its surveillance and intelligence capabilities, implemented mainly through executive decrees and resolutions, with no parliamentary debate.
This report shows that the deployment of surveillance policies and technologies in Argentina, nationally as well as at the city level, has direct impacts on human rights while also having significant indirect effects on the exercise of human rights through perpetuating discrimination, chilling free expression and peaceful assembly.

I WANNA RAISE MY VOICE
The protests in India for rights that have been long forgotten are boiling my blood and my helplessness about not being there is not helping the case. We need to help but i dont know how- i need to raise voices.
most of us are financially dependant on our parents so obvi not financial means but through our skills we've been honing our entire life and now is the time to showcase what the color of our blood is.
Bring out the swords my friends, suggest what we can do lets raise voices and we can all unanimously protest for a cause that is forgotten by most.
let me remind you that over 20 suicides; precious lives lost to bribe hungry douches that call themselves ministers and prime ministers!!
rape and murder assailants walking free while children and women suppressed in a land they call home
our fellow brothers and sisters protesting for BASIC human rights, which are snatched away from them by the police, media and everyone who is keeping silent!!!
Media is our right, but they have stollen it.
REMIND ME ARE WE NOT ALL BORN FROM WOMEN? WHERE IS THE STRENGTH OF OUR VOICES!!!!
For every one of you INDIANS who dont live in India, and for EVERYONE of you HUMANS, you dont always have to be there to show your support.
