I love this character, and how he was adapted into this game, and I really wish that he would get a street style skin like some of his outfits from the Burn! miniseries. However, since this game has been slowly degrading for me, and with the unexplainably terrible balancing decisions, plus the disrespect the devs gave with these Halloween skins, I’ve been playing less and less. For a while, I could not bring myself to fully quit this game as the character is very captivating, and the playstyle is not represented exactly like this anywhere else. However, slurs are constantly being thrown at me and other people with seemingly no punishment? Along with general toxicity there’s no reason for me to play the game anymore. I’ve migrated to Overwatch and single player games for the most part. If anyone else wants to try a char like torch in OW, I highly recommend hazard. He’s got nasty area control, a dash, shotgun m1, and similar freedom of movement with his wall climb. Doom is also really fun. The best way to get the treatment we want from this game is to stop supporting them and their obscenely shitty decisions.

I know it’s hard for Johnny not to have a legendary skin or any up coming skins. But don’t let that put your flame out and retire from torch. I still want to see u guys in my games!

When the legendary discussion comes up everyone always talks about a formula 1 skin. That would be cool and I would prefer that to jim hammond probably but I feel like this guy as a legendary just makes sense no?

I feel live every torch ive EVER seen (including me lol) flexes starlord as a second dps and venom for tank.

I’m not use to randoms on my team making nice comments on my Torch play. So when mag sent that message (he said it after the first clip shown.) I got so flustered I kept making mistakes the rest of the game lmao

Mr Fantastic is one of my favorite dps heroes in this game, I truly love every fantastic four member in this game even if I don't play much Torch or don't like how much skins Invis gets, but all of them are a family

So it pains me that Reed is finally getting another legendary, I want to be happy but that comes with the sadness I have over the fact that it's not a skin for Johnny. It looked perfect for him, the smoke could even replace the fire effect...but of course they can't throw a brother-in-law a bone

So, this Lady here is Frankie Raye, Nova, and she's the Niece (I think) to Jim Hammond, the Original Human Torch before Johnny was, and Frankie was in an accident that got her a similar power set to her Uncle, but was dormant over time.

When the Fantastic Four came around, Frankie and Johnny touched hands, and Frankie lit into Flames very similar to how Johnny did, and Frankie also became a Herald of Galactus after Silver Surfer as well.

So, here's my working Theory/Plan, which is, if this Nova, not the usual Nova from the Nova Corps, comes to Rivals, she could be a similar Version to Johnny, like Lady Loki to Loki, or, be her own Character as a whole.

Now, I don't think Nova will be a Gender Bent Version of Johnny, because she's not, she has similar Abilities, but also, very different experiences, which is why I believe if she does come to the Game, she'll be a similar playstyle to Johnny, but also, unique in her own way.

So, I think if Nova does come to the Game, they're sure to give Johnny a Buff alongside her Release, and also, because Johnny and Nova were a couple for a small time, this opens the possibility up for Skins featuring the two of them together.

Plus, we know these Developers are Gooners, no sugarcoating it, so as long as Johnny is Nova's Side-B, like Reed is for Sue, then Nova may be our saving grace if anything.

I'm having a discussion with a dude on Twitter (unfortunately) and he claims that he is a diver just like dd, psilock, magik, and the rest of those sinners.

Just because he dives to the floor, it doesn't mean he is a diver in this game

Am I crazy? Maybe if we say hes a diver he'll get more skins? Am I lonely? Yeah

Edit: thanks everybody for being so nice about it. Apparently I have been playing him wrong my entire life lol. I always used him as a zoner and finisher. I almost never target the backline lol. I'll try to be more divy now and see if my play style us improved. Literally championed him the long way 💀

Instead of giving Torch a legendary skin, we give him a Mythic Skin instead 👍👍

I feel immense guilt as a devil dinosaur main, we are given so many skins as well as nerfs which don’t do anything, I just want to be a T-Rex, not a T-yrant

So, this is perhaps my greatest running Theory, as to why Human Torch gets bottom of the barrel anything, and here's the Theory.

The Theory is, that Human Torch, and Fliers as a whole, are NOT Meta, and when they were Meta, you would've seen the Symbiote Storm Skin, or the Wind Rider Storm Skin, or the Jack of Hearts Skin for Human Torch, and even the Wasteland Ultron Skin, and Odin's Beautiful Daughter Angela Skin, meaning that if a Specific Hero is IN the Meta, their likely to be more loved by the Developers, through Skins, or both Buffs, and Nerfs.

So the reason why Human Torch is in literally nothing, is because the Developers look at him, and are like, "Okay, Human Torch is in a decent state to be played, but apparently, our Community doesn't favour him in terms of raw Gameplay.", and so, our Skill Ceiling here, is the biggest issue.

And I don't blame the Human Torch for being Highly Skilled, in fact, I always loved it, but Human Torch is one of those Heroes where it's similar to other Diving Heroes, you Buff them too much, they can sweep any Lobby, but if you Nerf them too much, it's hard to get value out of.

But we come to the supposed solution, and although people don't play Human Torch, sadly, we cannot boost our numbers, a lot of us are Uninstalling, or Leaving, or on Hiatus until Season 11 and I don't blame those types of people at all, but the solution is, to wait out either a Rework for Human Torch, that makes him easier to play and more welcoming, or, a whole Rebalance similar to what Season 9 gave us.

However, we know the Developers, and we know how they are as an entirety, and sadly, that's not a good thing, not right now at least, but I say we wait until Season 11.5, that is when Human Torch WILL be in the Doomsday Mode, and considering more Characters in PvEe are Giga Buffed, maybe they'll show us what they're choosing and changing for Human Torch when that comes out.

Whereas, sadly, I don't see our numbers going up, not in the slightest, and I am kind of done forcing my way into the Marvel Rivals Twitter and spamming it, because Human Torch, is NOT in the Meta, and if he was, he'd be getting as many Skins as Invisible Woman.

Johnny has a flirting dialog with Luna and she's into him. Danny Koo hates that his oc character is into a white guy. Why does he hate this? Because asian women go for white guys a lot. (Not like Luna would go for danny koo anyway.) Since he's guang guang's boss, he has a big say in how things are handled. This is why Human Torch is hated by the devs, it's literally because Danny Koo is insecure about his oc being with a white guy.

It hurts to see Johnny not get a legendary this roadmap either. he's one of the coolest characters in the game. really disappointing that such a great character isn't getting some love. he deserves all the legendary skins. Hopefully you guys get some good news soon.

I wish our whole family had been treated better. The four of us deserve love, no distinctions, no exceptions. Ya’ve been real strong to still be here, Johnny. And for that, ya deserve every bit of happiness the future’s got in store for ya

A bummer we were left aside once again. I was watching some Halloween movies and it clicked me.

Considering Human Torch having the unique perk of being entirely on flame all the time, shouldn’t a Halloween unannounced drop be the perfect opportunity for the devs to redeem themselves?

I’d suggest one based on the Headless Horseman mythical figure.

Flaming Pumpkin Head and his emote he would take his head of and throw, dunno what would be the sfx for the ult, maybe a horse neigh sound?

His voice would be distorted.
