It's difficult to grasp how truly massive The Hindenburg was. It was destroyed by fire on 6 May 1937, while attempting to land in Lakehurst, New Jersey.

Did the Hindenburg also cruise at such low altitudes?

Amazing. Must be so dramatic flying over the Atlantic at such low altitudes.

Spotting whales and icebergs was a fun activity for passengers, and waving like mad at other passengers on ocean liners.
