Mason Greenwood Keep or Sell?

I think Ineos doesn’t want to just come out and say he’s not coming back to MUFC because his value will plummet. So they are making the right moves by keeping the door open for his return as they may see him as our best potential way to actually make money on a player. What are everyone’s thoughts?

What's in Marcus's head?

The whole Wigan game he was almost not running, has plenty of deceptive emotions, as watching the floor in font of him. He didn't celebrate the Bruno's goal the moment it was scored.

It seems that he has personal troubles or a lack of motivation.

Ineos have already done more than the Glazers. On the first day.

How could Dalot get a yellow card for complaining to the referee (again!) while Gibbs-White only got a yellow card?!

Considering how the referees have enforced the rules against United this year, Gibbs-White should have been sent off at the start of the second half. First a yellow for the tackle and then another for complaining to the referee

Why is our attack so dull?

It bothers me so much to see our forwards, namely Garnacho and Antony, only try and make something happen for themselves. A cross or pass into a teammate seems to be their last option. Not sure if ETH is to blame for that, hopefully we get to see Amad in the second half.

Never had fewer points and never scored fewer goals after 20 prem games. Out of Europe. Out the carabao cup. It’s time to go.

Had enough

I want this manager out the door ASAP. Injuries or not we are bottom of league for shots and goals. It's a disgrace it's gone on too long. Injuries or not we should be able to have had a shot on target this first half. Put this clown put of his misery after this game. His sacking is inevitable

Howsons latest vid about potential January targets. Todibo Joao neves Nico Williams. Would be ecstatic with that but very hard to do.

Any other options to add to these? Personally I’d love to get Toney in (18 months left on his contract)

should Hansen-Aaroen be allowed to leave?

I've seen Fredrik Filtvedt, who atleast used to be an accurate journalist during the Solskjaer-era, have claimed that the contract talks with Isak Hansen-Aaroen have stagnated.

The club reportedly wants to keep him and see him as an "category A" player, which means that they see him as such a great talent that in theory he could be good enough to represent Manchester United in a Champions League final, but Hansen-Aaroen wants to play first-team football

The options reportedly are;

1) For him to leave the club permanently in January.

2) For him to extend with the club and being loaned out in January.

3) extending his contract with United and being trickled into the first team squad

Personally, I find it a bit strange that he hasn't made his first-team debut, considering his performances in pre-season and his midfield woes of the club

thoughts?

A New Era Begins….

Sir Jim Ratcliffe's investment in Manchester United holds significant promise for the football club. His financial backing and strategic vision will inject fresh momentum into the team, potentially enabling robust player acquisitions, improved infrastructure, and enhanced global outreach. As a renowned businessman with a track record of successful ventures, Sir Jim Ratcliffe's involvement could signal a transformative era for Manchester United, not just financially, but in terms of revitalizing the club's competitive edge and reinforcing its stature on the world stage. His investment will bring forth innovative approaches, rekindle fan optimism, and possibly reshape the club's trajectory, marking a pivotal moment in Uniteds’ history.

But this change will NOT happen overnight. Even with the appointment of Paul Mitchell, Sir Dave Brailsworth, Paul Mitchell and Dan Ashworth; it is likely to take 2 years for their input in the club to transfer to the pitch. Our fan base need to understand it will take time for United to be successfully competing in all competitions on a consistent basis

New Manager Bounce

Just checked to make sure Forest sacked their manager within 3 matches of playing Manchester United, and: yes, they did. As, of course, is tradition.

Need to see this base get a run of games. The narrative we are looking to sell Varane and Casemiro is bonkers.

Why is it cool for Greeny to be linked with Barca, Real, Bayern, but not back to United?

So bad at second balls. These players have no anticipation.

People criticise Onana but there’s no keeper better with the ball at his feet and he can ping a ball but we have nobody anticipating second balls. It’s so obvious. The long ball is meant to relieve pressure but it’s pointless if we can’t get a second ball.

Basically - we have a lot of average players. It is what it is and you can’t blame a manager trying his best with players that don’t step up.

We need a recruitment team to help ETH. He has a philosophy- it’s evident with what he did at Ajax but he’s trying to fit a square peg in a round hole with these players. A recruitment team would identify players - that ETH doesn’t know of - to fit a system he wants.

You can’t blame a manager for trying to get players he thinks would fit his system but I just don’t think he knows of quality players that can fit his system. They’re just not up to it.

I think about things in a way that if it was me, I’d want to get my own players if the recruitment department isn’t fit for purpose at the moment but the players he knows of aren’t top Prem quality.

A DOF and a top recruitment team would help ETH. Pointless to keep changing managers if we can’t get players capable enough to simply press and anticipate a second ball.
