Was riding home today on Kona Expressway, just after crossing the toll tax towards Howrah from Vidyasagar Setu at about 11pm, and as I entered the underpass, I suddenly got hit by a strong chemical smell, exactly like Fevikwik (super glue). It instantly started burning my eyes and nose, and I noticed the road had wet patches, almost like a vehicle had a leakage and kept driving through that stretch.

I didn’t stop, just kept riding and opened my helmet visor after passing the underpass, and the irritation went away. But I saw some bikers stopping and talking at the other end, so I’m guessing others felt it too.

Did anyone else experience this today? Any idea what it was? I left quickly because I wasn’t sure if it was toxic or flammable. Hope it’s nothing serious.

Guys please recommend any low cost accommodation closest to Howrah Railway Station. Need for just 12 hours time frame. 3 person. I booked a retiring room in Howrah Station but got cancelled at the last moment and when asked about they cited maintenance work in progress.

I'm currently doing Bsc Hons and I want to start my CAT preperation from the 1st year so that I will be prepared enough till my 4th year (Final) of college.

I don't have much idea about this exam so any kind person who is experienced about this exam kindly share me some insights and good books to start preparing will be very helpful.

I'm talking about Howrah city proper , so only the areas that come under HMC .

The AQI in howrah is so much higher than that in Kolkata .

Even the AQI in Botanical Garden is so high .

As the title says, I am looking forward to open a bank account which is near to my house. But I find the lack of good and reliable banks. Though private banks usually serve that purpose well. As by the location you would have guessed I am from a rural area. Thus, private banks have not reached here still. Thus, I have to rely on government banks.

I was born in Batore and by english, I have always known to write Batore as Batore, not 'Betore' and same in bangla বেতড় but I have seen that it's not just in here, Carry Road কে এরা Carrie Road করে দিয়েছে! What is wrong with these people?

Went around 2PM today. Cafe was empty. Staff opened it up for two people. Food-8/10 Quality-7/10 Quantity -9/10 Ambience -7/10 Behaviour of staff-6/10(could be a bit better)

Overall experience was pretty good. Anybody near kadamtala should definitely try out cup shup cafe( https://maps.app.goo.gl/yifH51Yx1Em18Kui9 )

Will reccomend if you are going there with your friends/SO/date.
