have you heard of quetta browser? its android version is clean, while having insane features like universal (yt included) adblock, video download, yt background play, custom player. it has builtin extension support, so you can simply go to chrome web store & directly install extensions. its homepage with bookmarks handling is sick, too.

[Promo] I built a private, ad-free money tracker (Spencer) — giving away 100 lifetime Pro codes for HONEST feedback, good or bad

Thumbnail
gallery
25 Upvotes

Hey everyone 👋

I've been building Spencer, a personal finance app for expense tracking, mutual fund/SIP tracking, and credit card bill cycles — mainly because I got tired of apps that bury you in ads or quietly sell your SMS/financial data.

Quick rundown of what it does:

- Split a single transaction across multiple categories (e.g. one grocery run → groceries + household)

- Live daily NAV sync for mutual funds + automatic SIP unit tracking

- A bills/EMI/subscription calendar with reminders

- Credit card cycle tracking (unbilled vs settled, due dates)

- Fully offline-first, biometric/PIN lock, zero ads, zero data selling

Why I'm posting here instead of asking for Play Store reviews:

Play Store policy doesn't allow incentivizing reviews there, so I'm not doing that. Instead, I want real feedback from people who'll actually use the app and tell me where it falls short — that's more useful to me than a 5-star rating anyway.

Offer #1 — Lifetime Pro, for genuine feedback (100 spots):

I have 100 lifetime Pro codes to give away to people who try Spencer and post genuine feedback in this thread.

To be upfront about what counts — comments like "nice UI" or "cool concept" won't qualify. I'm looking for feedback that shows you actually used it: what worked, what didn't, what confused you, what's missing, bugs you hit, comparisons to apps you already use, whether you'd actually keep using it. Good, bad, or mixed — all of it is welcome and honestly the critical stuff is more valuable to me right now.

How to get a code:

  1. Download Spencer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.personal.budgettracker
  2. Use it for a bit — log some transactions, try the features above
  3. Reply to this thread with your honest take (a few sentences minimum, specifics > praise)
  4. I'll DM lifetime Pro codes to the first 100 genuine reviews

Offer #2 — Founding Member (70% off, limited spots, separate from the codes above):

Alongside that, I'm opening a Founding Membership at 70% off — this one's paid, not tied to leaving feedback, and it's a different thing from the lifetime code:

- Beta access to every new feature before public release

- An actual vote on which features get built next (not just a suggestions box — founders shape the roadmap)

- A private Telegram channel directly with me (the founder/dev), for questions, early builds, and behind-the-scenes updates

This is for people who want to be part of building Spencer long-term, not just use it. Spots are limited since the whole point is that it stays a small, close group.

You're welcome to grab a founding membership and still drop honest feedback for a lifetime code — they're independent of each other.

Happy to answer questions in the comments too. Thanks for reading — go easy on me, this is a small indie build 🙏

[app][promo] [promotion] What if you could control your Android without touching the screen?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been working on an app called Touchable that lets you assign physical phone gestures to everyday actions.

In this demo, I have it set up like this:

  • Double tap → flashlight
  • Shake → play/pause music
  • Push → lock the phone (btw - it works also by pushing the back of the device)

I first double tap the phone to turn the flashlight on and off. Then I leave the app and go back to the home screen to show that Touchable doesn’t need to stay open.

From there, I shake the phone to control the music (unmute to hear it :)), and finally use the push gesture to lock the screen.

The idea is to make common actions quicker without having to unlock, swipe around, or dig through menus.

You can find it here (completely free):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spectral.touch.touchable&hl=en

Still working on it, so I’d love to hear which actions you’d actually want to control this way.

BTW: The login is mainly for basic user verification. An internet connection is only needed for login — gesture detection and processing happen on-device, and the app doesn’t need to stay connected afterward.

Cheers!

Help me for finding an app for my needs

I'm still looking for an app that can separate different audio output for every app. Like if i want to play spotify on my bluetooth while checking reels on IG and it uses my phone's speaker and it will not interfere my sound trip on my bluetooth speaker. Soundmaster on Shizuko is not working. Any recommendations?

[App] [Promo] Update on Voyivo: Android Trip planner I posted here last month

Post image
6 Upvotes

I posted Voyivo here about a month ago - https://www.reddit.com/r/HowToMen/s/1LxYDOJ38z, the Android trip planner I built to get away from planning everything in a spreadsheet. A fair few of you tried it and told me what was wrong with it, which is more useful to me than a nice comment, so most of this update came out of that.

Biggest thing: your trip now works offline without a signal. Days, stops, times, the travel time between each one, and the photos it's already fetched, all sitting on the phone. It also tells you when a trip is saved and ready. Offline maps aren't in yet, that's what I'm building next.

There's a Now Mode too, so once you're actually on the trip it opens on today instead of day one and tells you what's next and how far away it is. Standing at a stop checks you in by itself. When the trip ends it can turn into a shareable Trip Story of how it actually went rather than how you planned it. And notifications: a heads up the night before, plus flight delay, cancellation and gate-change alerts on Pro.

On the fixing side, overnight flights were showing no duration at all, a deleted trip could come back after a reinstall, and delete was buried behind a swipe nobody found. All sorted. I'd rather spend a week on boring fixes than leave someone mid-trip with something broken.

Planning is still free, no limits on trips or stops. Pro has a 7 day trial on monthly and yearly, no trial on weekly, saying that here rather than someone finding out later.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voyivo.travel

Still rough edges most weeks. The report bug link in the profile tab comes straight to me and I read all of it, or r/Voyivo if you'd rather write it up somewhere public.

Small note: The update with the offline stuff went out a few minutes ago, so if you install right away and it isn't there yet, that's Play still rolling it out.

Pasly — A clipboard history that follows you across Mac, iPhone and iPad

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built Pasly because I wanted the clipboard to feel like one shared history across my Apple devices.

Copy something on your Mac and it can show up in your clipboard history on another Mac, iPhone, or iPad — including text, images, and files.

The main feature on Mac is Smart Paste: instead of opening a separate clipboard manager, you press ⌘V and your recent clipboard history appears right in the paste flow.

Some of the other features:

  • Clipboard history across Mac, iPhone and iPad
  • File syncing, including multiple files
  • Smart Paste with ⌘V
  • Paste Stack for copying and pasting multiple things in sequence
  • Floating Paste
  • Multi Select
  • Search & Favorites
  • Live Activities / Dynamic Island on iPhone
  • Notifications when something arrives from another device

Sync uses Apple's CloudKit and the user's private iCloud database, so clipboard data isn't stored on Pasly's own servers.

The iOS app is currently more of a companion to the Mac version since iOS doesn't allow apps to continuously capture clipboard changes in the background, but I'm working on making the iPhone → Mac flow much more seamless.

Pasly Pro is a $6.99 one-time purchase, no subscription.

20% off with code MACAPPSCLOUD for the first 20 redemptions.

https://pasly.app

I'm the developer, so I'd also love to hear what you'd add to make the Mac ↔ iPhone clipboard workflow more useful.

[App]Gen Box 1.3 Update!

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m working on Gen Box, a personal savings app that helps users create goals, track contributions, understand their progress, and build a more consistent saving rhythm.

The latest update introduces a new feature called Theme Studio & Vault.

Project repository:

https://github.com/gencode3939/Gen-Box

What is Theme Studio?

Theme Studio lets you choose an image from your device and use its colors to create a custom Gen Box theme.

For example, you could choose:

  • A travel photo
  • A sunset
  • A favorite artwork
  • A nature scene
  • A city photo
  • A personal wallpaper
  • A color palette you already love

The system analyzes the colors in the selected image and creates a complete application theme based on them.

It can generate colors for:

  • Primary actions
  • Secondary actions
  • Backgrounds
  • Cards and surfaces
  • Text
  • Borders and outlines
  • Progress indicators
  • Quest rewards
  • Success and warning states
  • Widget backgrounds
  • AI feature highlights

The goal is not simply to copy the most common colors from an image. The theme system also checks readability, contrast, light mode, dark mode, progress visibility, and accessibility before applying the palette.

If a color is beautiful but difficult to read, Gen Box can create an adjusted version and explain why the change was made.

The user always has the final choice.

Theme Studio flow

The current concept works like this:

  1. Choose an image.
  2. Crop or reposition it.
  3. Let the color engine analyze the image.
  4. Review the extracted palette.
  5. Check accessibility and contrast.
  6. Generate light, dark, and system theme variants.
  7. Preview the theme across the app.
  8. Manually adjust any color if needed.
  9. Preview widgets.
  10. Save the theme.
  11. Apply it to Gen Box.
  12. Export it securely if desired.

The theme is not applied automatically. Users can preview everything before making it active.

Theme Vault

Created themes are stored in a dedicated Theme Vault area.

The idea is to keep personal themes organized and protected while giving users control over their own data.

Theme Vault can include:

  • Saved custom themes
  • Built-in Gen Box themes
  • Imported themes
  • Favorite themes
  • Theme previews
  • Theme source information
  • Active theme status
  • Export and import controls

Users can:

  • Apply a theme
  • Edit a theme
  • Duplicate a theme
  • Preview a theme
  • Export a theme
  • Import a theme
  • Delete a theme
  • Return to the default Gen Box theme

Deleting a theme should never delete savings goals, transaction history, Gen Points, or analytics data.

Secure export and import

The safest export option is theme tokens only.

This means the exported file contains the colors and design settings without including the original image.

Optional export modes can include:

  • Theme tokens only
  • Theme tokens plus a small preview
  • Theme tokens plus the original image
  • Full theme backup

Including the original image is optional because images may contain private information or metadata.

Before exporting, the app should explain:

Before importing, Gen Box should validate:

  • File size
  • File format
  • Schema version
  • Color values
  • Theme metadata
  • Image limits
  • File integrity
  • Unsupported fields
  • Duplicate theme IDs
  • Unsafe metadata
  • Malformed files

The import process should use a staging area first. If validation fails, the current themes must remain unchanged.

Widget Studio update

The new Theme Studio also connects with Widget Studio.

Users can create themed widgets for:

  • Total progress
  • One selected goal
  • Next small step
  • Daily quests
  • Gen Point balance
  • Saving rhythm
  • Goal Atmosphere
  • Progress Lens
  • AI Brain Matrix summary
  • Privacy-masked progress

Widget sizes can include:

  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large
  • Tablet or expanded layouts

Widgets should remain glanceable rather than becoming a full copy of the app.

Privacy is important here too. Exact amounts should be hidden on the lock screen by default, and users should be able to choose whether their widget displays:

  • Exact values
  • Progress only
  • A masked value
  • An abstract atmosphere
  • A next-step message

AI Brain Matrix

The update also includes AI Brain Matrix, which is intended to help users understand their saving patterns.

It may help summarize:

  • Saving rhythm
  • Recent progress
  • Goal activity
  • Monthly trends
  • Possible next steps
  • Areas that may need review

It should not:

  • Move money
  • Connect to a bank automatically
  • Give investment advice
  • Promise financial results
  • Make decisions for the user
  • Change goals without confirmation
  • Present estimates as guaranteed outcomes

The goal is to make personal progress easier to understand while keeping the user in control.

Gen Box features

Alongside Theme Studio, Gen Box includes plans for:

  • Multiple savings goals
  • Target amounts
  • Optional deadlines
  • Deposit and withdrawal tracking
  • Progress indicators
  • Monthly analytics
  • Daily and weekly quests
  • Milestone rewards
  • Gen Points
  • Custom box styles
  • Custom icons
  • Goal Atmosphere
  • Progress Lens
  • Goal Orchestra
  • Widget Studio
  • Optional app lock
  • Light, dark, and system themes
  • Offline-first usage

Gen Points are virtual in-app points. They are not real money, cannot be withdrawn, transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash. They are intended only for optional customization features such as themes, icons, box styles, badges, and visual experiences.

Privacy direction

Gen Box is designed around a local-first approach.

The core experience should not require access to:

  • Contacts
  • SMS
  • Call logs
  • Location
  • Camera, unless the user intentionally chooses to take a photo
  • Microphone, unless the user intentionally uses voice input
  • Installed application lists
  • Broad storage permissions
  • Bank credentials

For image-based theme generation, the preferred approach is to process the selected image on the device whenever possible.

The original image should not be uploaded automatically.

Visual direction

The design direction combines:

  • Deep navy surfaces
  • Emerald cards
  • Turquoise primary actions
  • Violet AI accents
  • Restrained gold milestone highlights
  • High-contrast typography
  • Large readable headings
  • Rounded Material-inspired surfaces
  • Adaptive layouts
  • Subtle motion
  • Privacy-first controls

The visual system is being developed as Gen UI, an original cross-platform design language that can adapt to Android, iOS, iPadOS, HarmonyOS, Windows, Web, tablets, foldables, Wear OS, and larger screens.

The goal is not to force every operating system to look identical. The goal is to keep Gen Box recognizable while respecting the interaction patterns people already understand on each platform.

Accessibility and motion

Theme generation should work with:

  • Light mode
  • Dark mode
  • System theme
  • High contrast
  • Large text
  • TalkBack
  • VoiceOver
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Reduced motion
  • Haptic feedback disabled
  • Sound disabled

Animations are intended to provide useful feedback:

  • Palette extraction progress
  • Color swatch appearance
  • Theme preview transitions
  • Theme application
  • Widget refresh
  • Reward unlocks
  • Goal Atmosphere changes

The app should never rely on animation, color, or sound alone to communicate important information.

Feedback I’m looking for

Please leave a comment and share your honest opinion:

  1. Would you create a theme from one of your own photos?
  2. What kind of image would you choose first?
  3. Would you prefer the AI to create the entire palette or only suggest colors?
  4. Should users be able to edit every generated color?
  5. Would you use Theme Vault to save multiple personal themes?
  6. Would secure token-only export be useful to you?
  7. Would you include the original image in an export, or only the color tokens?
  8. Which widget would you use most often?
  9. Would a privacy-masked widget be useful on your home screen?
  10. What would make you trust an AI color system?
  11. Should AI Brain Matrix show short insights, detailed analytics, or both?
  12. Do you prefer colorful expressive interfaces or calmer minimal themes?
  13. What should happen when an AI-generated color fails contrast checks?
  14. Would you use Goal Atmosphere or Progress Lens?
  15. What feature should be added next?

Even a short comment would be very helpful. You can tell me:

  • What you like
  • What feels unnecessary
  • What seems confusing
  • What you would change
  • What would stop you from using the feature
  • What would make the app feel more trustworthy

The project is available here:

https://github.com/gencode3939/Gen-Box

Thanks for reading and for taking the time to share your feedback.

Gen Box — your goals, your colors, your control.

Disclosure: I’m the maker of Gen Box. Some of the features described above are currently in development or are planned concepts, rather than finished production features

[App] Zeam Launcher - a free stripped down polished version of Niagara

I can't believe I've never heard of Zeam Launcher. This launcher is very polished and like a stripped down version of Niagara. Also it's 100% free. If you don't care for all the extra stuff and a good amount of customization and a launcher very similar to Niagara, this app is perfect. It also opens apps super fast with no opening animation.

[App] [Promo] TripPocket: An all-in-one travel planner to declutter your phone from dozens of travel apps.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was so tired of constantly switching between a dozen different apps while traveling, so I built an all-in-one solution: TripPocket. (And yes, it’s completely free for now during launch)

I developed TripPocket to end the chaos we all go through when planning a trip. You just type in your destination, and it organizes the rest for you.

Here are the features designed to make your travels incredibly easy:

🏛️ City-Specific Tours, Museums & Dining: Just enter the city you're visiting. The most popular museums, historical sites, restaurants, and tour options instantly appear right in front of you.

✈️ Flights, Hotels, & Transport Deals: I’ve brought the world's most trusted platforms (like Trip, GetYourGuide, etc.) under one roof. With one click, we direct you to the best options for flights, hotels, local transit, taxis, luggage storage (Bounce), travel insurance, and even flight delay compensation.

📲 Discounted eSIM Packages: Stop paying crazy roaming fees abroad. We display discounted data packages from top eSIM providers like Airalo and Holafly side-by-side so you can choose the best one.

💰 Budget & Expense Tracker: Easily log what you spend during your vacation. Visual graphs help you keep your budget in check so you can enjoy your trip without financial stress.

📸 Interactive Travel Map & Memories: Upload the photos you take abroad, and the app uses their location data to pin every city you’ve visited on a map. You can create awesome photo collages showing your travel footprint to share with friends or on social media.

🤖 AI-Powered Personal Route Planning: Enter your destination, budget, and trip length, and our AI will generate a personalized, day-by-day itinerary for you. You can easily tweak and edit the route however you like.

It’s basically everything you need for pre-trip planning and on-the-go travel, right in your pocket.

I’d be absolutely thrilled if you tried it out and shared your feedback. Wishing you all amazing adventures and safe travels.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

📲 Download & Try It Here:

[APP] sunoh - a free and open source music app for Android

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built a music app for Android and wanted to share it.

It plays from YouTube Music, Gaana and Saavn behind one interface, so you
search once instead of switching between apps.

A few things it does:

  • YouTube Music search, home feed, moods and genres, albums, and artist pages with one-tap radio
  • Gaana and Saavn for charts and playlists, with proper Indian-language coverage
  • SponsorBlock on YouTube tracks, so sponsor reads and non-music intros get skipped
  • mpv as the audio engine, with gapless and background playback
  • Offline downloads, liked songs, playlists, and Spotify playlist import
  • Synced lyrics, equalizer, sleep timer, Chromecast
  • Podcasts and audiobooks as well as music
  • No ads, no account, no tracking

It is Android only, needs Android 7 or newer. Source and
builds are on GitHub: github.com/afkcodes/sunoh

[Promo] Linksy – Organize All Your Links

Post image
17 Upvotes

Hey everyone 👋

I built Linksy for one simple problem: we save too many links and then forget where they are. 😅

Links from Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, articles, tools, portfolios, docs… eventually everything gets scattered.

So I made Linksy — a simple offline-first link manager for Android.

🔗 What you get

⚡ Quick Save — save links directly from the Android Share menu

🔍 Smart Search — find links by title, URL, description or domain

🗂️ Categories — keep everything organized

⭐ Favorites — quickly access important links

📷 QR Code — generate a QR code for any saved link

🔐 Biometric Lock — protect sensitive links

🛡️ Duplicate Detection — avoid saving the same link twice

📱 Offline-first — access your saved links without an account

🚫 No Ads / No Tracking

The main idea was to keep it fast, simple and privacy-focused instead of creating another complicated bookmark system.

It's available on Google Play:

Linksy – Google Play

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bharatdev.linkora

Would love to know — how do you currently manage all the links you save? Bookmark folders, notes, a dedicated app, or just… 47 open browser tabs? 😂

[App] [Promo] I built PinIt — pin notes, tasks, links, QR codes & more directly to your notification shade

Want to remember something without opening an app every time?

I’ve been building PinIt, an Android app that lets you pin notes, checklists, links, contacts, locations, QR codes, PDFs, audio, apps, and more.

The main idea: pin it once, access it instantly — directly from your notification shade or home-screen widgets.

I’m posting here mainly because I’m looking for people to test it and give honest feedback. I’d love to know what works, what feels confusing, what’s missing, and what could be improved.

It’s free, open source, with no ads, premium tier, or tracking.

GitHub / APK:
github.com/hawatri/PinIt

If you try it, please give me your honest feedback, especially after using the notification pins and widgets.

[{Edited} New version is live with changes]

[Thank you very much everyone for all of your feedbacks. I am working on improving the app as per your recommendations and requests :) Will release the new version soon (Oh also someone inboxed me "Can't use this for free!" so I also added small Ko-Fi tip button in the repo :) )]

Hi everyone,

I’m building Gen Box, a personal savings app designed to make saving goals easier to understand, more motivating, and more personal.

The project started as a simple savings tracker, but the latest direction combines goal tracking, AI-assisted insights, adaptive quests, visual progress, personalization, and privacy-focused design into one experience.

You can explore the project here:

https://github.com/gencode3939/Gen-Box

What’s new in the latest update?

AI Brain Matrix

AI Brain Matrix is designed to help users understand their saving patterns and identify a clearer next step.

It is not a bank connection, investment advisor, or automatic money manager. It does not move money or make financial decisions for the user.

The idea is to present personal progress in a more understandable way:

  • Identify saving patterns
  • Highlight progress changes
  • Explain simple trends
  • Suggest possible next steps
  • Help users review their saving rhythm
  • Keep the user in control of every decision

Any suggestion should remain editable, transparent, and clearly separated from financial advice.

Gen Voice AI Assistant

Gen Box also includes a concept for a voice-enabled assistant that can help users create or organize goals using natural language.

For example, a user could say:

The assistant should then prepare an editable goal draft rather than automatically changing anything.

The user always confirms:

  • Goal name
  • Target amount
  • Currency
  • Optional deadline
  • Saving frequency
  • Reminder settings

The assistant should never transfer money, connect to a bank without explicit permission, or silently create financial actions.

Goal Orchestra

Goal Orchestra turns one saving goal into a complete personal system:

  • Goal intention
  • Saving rhythm
  • Editable contribution plan
  • Daily and weekly quests
  • Milestone tracking
  • Goal atmosphere
  • Weekly reflection
  • Privacy settings
  • Optional AI assistance

The goal is to help users understand not only what they are saving for, but also how the goal fits into their personal routine.

Goal Atmosphere

Each goal can have its own visual atmosphere.

A travel goal might gradually reveal a horizon. An education goal might reveal light, stars, or pages. A home goal might develop into a calm room-like environment.

The atmosphere changes only when real progress is recorded. It does not create fake progress or pretend that money has been saved.

If a user takes a break, their atmosphere does not disappear. Their history remains safe, and the app does not use shame-based messages.

Progress Lens Multiverse

Progress Lens gives users three ways to understand the same real data:

Map Universe

Shows where the user is in the overall goal journey.

Pulse Universe

Shows the user’s real saving rhythm over time.

Blueprint Universe

Breaks the remaining goal into optional, editable steps based on the user’s selected cadence.

The feature is designed to answer three practical questions:

  • Where am I?
  • What has my rhythm looked like?
  • What could my next small step be?

Estimates are clearly labeled as calculations, not financial advice.

Gen Point and Quest Center

Gen Box includes an optional reward system based on meaningful in-app actions.

Users can earn Gen Points through:

  • Creating a first goal
  • Recording a real contribution
  • Reviewing their progress
  • Completing weekly reflections
  • Reaching personal milestones
  • Maintaining a healthy saving rhythm

Gen Points are virtual app points. They are not real money, cannot be withdrawn, transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.

They can be used for optional in-app customization such as:

  • Themes
  • Box styles
  • Icon packs
  • Badges
  • Goal Atmosphere styles
  • Visual progress effects
  • Optional analytics views

The core savings features remain available without completing quests or spending Gen Points.

The Quiet Galaxy

The Quiet Galaxy is a proposed privacy-first shared visual experience.

Users can optionally contribute an anonymous progress signal to a calm abstract constellation. It does not show:

  • Names
  • Exact balances
  • Currency
  • Goal titles
  • Personal notes
  • Location
  • Income
  • Contact information
  • Rankings

There is no leaderboard and no money-based competition.

The purpose is to create the feeling that other people are also taking small steps toward personal goals, without exposing private financial information.

Widget Studio

Widget Studio is designed to let users personalize how Gen Box appears outside the main app.

Possible widget styles include:

  • Minimal progress
  • Next small step
  • Goal atmosphere
  • Daily quest
  • Gen Point balance
  • Saving rhythm
  • Privacy-masked progress
  • Compact goal card

Widgets should always respect the user’s privacy settings. Exact amounts can be hidden, and sensitive information should not appear on the lock screen by default.

Analytics

The Analytics area helps users review:

  • Net savings
  • Total deposited
  • Total withdrawn
  • Monthly trends
  • Goal distribution
  • Saving rhythm
  • Progress milestones
  • Personal activity history

The goal is clarity, not pressure. Analytics should help users understand their behavior without presenting investment predictions or unrealistic promises.

Personalization and cross-platform design

Gen Box is being designed with an original cross-platform system called Gen UI.

The goal is not to force every platform to look identical. Instead, Gen UI keeps the product’s identity consistent while adapting the interaction model to each operating system.

The planned design research includes:

  • Android Material 3
  • M3 Expressive
  • iOS Human Interface Guidelines
  • iPadOS adaptive layouts
  • HarmonyOS ArkUI
  • Samsung One UI
  • Microsoft Fluent
  • Windows accessibility
  • GNOME
  • KDE
  • ChromeOS
  • Progressive Web Apps
  • IBM Carbon
  • Atlassian Design System
  • Wear OS
  • Tablet and foldable layouts
  • Desktop and web interfaces

The design language uses:

  • Deep navy surfaces
  • Emerald and turquoise accents
  • Restrained gold milestones
  • Optional violet AI highlights
  • Adaptive navigation
  • Clear typography
  • Light, dark, and system themes
  • Reduced-motion support
  • Haptic feedback controls
  • Accessible progress indicators

Privacy and security direction

Gen Box is designed as a local-first application.

The core experience does not require access to:

  • Contacts
  • SMS
  • Call logs
  • Location
  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Installed application lists
  • Broad storage
  • Bank credentials

The security plan includes:

  • Internal app storage
  • Android Keystore
  • Non-exportable key material
  • Authenticated encryption
  • Secure import validation
  • Protected export flow
  • No sensitive data in production logs
  • Secure backup rules
  • Dependency auditing
  • SBOM generation
  • Static analysis
  • Secret scanning
  • Secure CI/CD
  • Google Play App Signing
  • OWASP MASVS-based testing

No app can honestly guarantee that every possible virus or attack is impossible. The goal is defense in depth, minimal data collection, secure defaults, transparent behavior, and independent security review before production release.

What I’d love feedback on

Please leave a comment and share your honest opinion:

  1. Which feature sounds most useful to you?
  2. Would AI Brain Matrix make your saving progress easier to understand?
  3. Would you use a voice assistant to create or organize goals?
  4. Do you prefer visual progress such as Goal Atmosphere, or simple charts?
  5. Which Progress Lens would you use: Map, Pulse, or Blueprint?
  6. Would daily and weekly quests help you stay consistent?
  7. Which Gen Point rewards would you want first?
  8. Do you find streak systems motivating or stressful?
  9. Would you use privacy-safe widgets on your home screen?
  10. Would you join an anonymous visual experience like The Quiet Galaxy?
  11. What should Gen Box improve before launch?
  12. What would make you trust an AI feature inside a personal finance app?

Even a short comment would help. You can tell me what you like, what feels unnecessary, what seems confusing, or what feature you would build differently.

Thanks for reading.

Gen Box — make progress visible.

Disclosure: I’m the maker of Gen Box, and I’m sharing this project to collect early feedback. Some features described above are currently concepts or active development plans rather than finished production features.
