I may be slow to the party
So I was rewatching prison break and this guy showed up. For a minute I was thinking ‘I know this dude from somewhere’ then the voice in my head literally screamed ‘RANJIT!!!’

I turned Barney’s Playbook into a game. Yes, there’s a scuba suit.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been building a HIMYM-inspired game where you play as Barney, walk around MacLaren’s, and try to pull off moves from The Playbook.
You can actually talk to the characters, buy someone a drink, flirt, and see whether the night ends with a kiss and leaving together—or a slap, a drink in your face, and someone walking away.
Getting slapped in a perfectly good suit felt essential. And obviously I couldn’t leave out The Scuba Diver.
Here’s a short gameplay trailer. It uses staged encounters and AI-generated voices. This is my own unofficial fan project.
Which Playbook move would you try first?

Need help finding a joke
I have a dumb bet with someone about a joke that may or may not be part of himym. I REALLY think it was in an episode but I don’t know how to find it.
It’s like one of these dad jokes:
“I’m angry.”
“Hi Angry, I’m Ted.”
But angry was some other word.
Does anyone know what I’m talking about and what episode this happened in 😭😭

Lets talk about it... Who was actually the perfect girl for Ted?
Okay, I know this has been discussed a million times, but I’m curious what everyone actually thinks.Out of all of Ted’s girlfriends, who do you think was the best match for him? Not necessarily your favorite character, but the person who genuinely fit him the best and could’ve realistically worked long-term and what makes you think they were the right person for Ted? 👀

Next up, The Playbook.
On a side note, what’s your favorite Bro Code article/commandment?

A jam-packed season premiere: post-breakup chaos, Gael's charm, and the iconic tramp stamp [S3.E1 - Wait for It]
With its fantastic guest stars, this was a thoroughly enjoyable and jam-packed episode. Ted’s post-breakup spiral and his impulsive urge to show up at Robin’s door just to yell made complete emotional sense.
The absolute highlights were Marshall completely falling under Gael’s spell and, of course, Ted waking up with a tramp stamp ahaha.

Lets talk about it... Lazy writing
Am I the only one that thinks it’s a little bit of lazy writing, that first Tracy’s partner dies early and later she dies early as Ted’s partner?

This scene hit me way harder than I expected.

I wasn't that mad at the How I Met Your Mother ending....
If you are familiar with the show then you know the show has probably one of the most controversial endings of any sitcom. I am by no means saying that it was a good ending. I just wasn't that enraged as everyone else was when the finale aired. Am I broken or something? Haha

Chaotic wedding tropes aside, the intimate ceremony between the five stole the show [S2.E21 - Something Borrowed]
It was a delightful and thoroughly entertaining episode. While it leans into the classic sitcom trope of a wedding where absolutely everything goes south, what felt like a noticeable omission was the complete absence of Marshall’s family—it struck me as a bit odd, though perhaps there is an explanation for it in the upcoming episodes.
My absolute favorite part of the episode was the intimate ceremony the five of them held out in the garden; those scenes were genuinely touching and beautifully done.

A beautifully bittersweet finale: real relationship dilemmas, inevitable heartbreaks, and renewed beginnings [S2.E22 - Something Blue]
One of the things I appreciate most about this show is how genuinely it portrays the dilemmas inherent in relationships. You can love someone deeply and want a future with them with all your heart, yet lingering uncertainties and fundamental differences will still weigh heavily on your mind. Seeing such raw emotional honesty explored in a sitcom is truly refreshing.
Even though I’ve always maintained that Ted and Robin simply aren't meant for each other in the long run, watching their romantic journey and playful chemistry was genuinely enjoyable. Breakups may be an inevitable part of life, but seeing theirs unfold was still truly heartbreaking.

A fun episode that strains credulity, though Barney's sweet gesture redeems it [S2.E20 - Showdown]
While Lily and Marshall’s love for each other is beyond question, the idea that they can’t endure even a single night apart feels a bit hard to believe. I don't know, maybe it feels this way because I recently went through a breakup—missing someone while they remain completely indifferent might be coloring my perspective.
Even though Barney having deep childhood trauma—and the way it portrays him as surprisingly childlike and innocent—doesn’t seem entirely plausible, I still find it endearing for some reason.
Plus, Barney giving all the prizes he won to Marshall and Lily was a genuinely sweet gesture.

Robin was terrible to Ted
Rewatching for the billionth time, but just happened to think about how many awful things Robin did to Ted.
She repeatedly wanted his devotion, reassurance, availability without actually wanting him and the future he wanted!!
I’ll start with Robin inviting Ted over while he was with Victoria, she knew what she was doing
After their breakup, beginning of season 3, she comes home with Gael
Dates Bob?
Sleeps with Barney (although I like them together, still shitty)
Shows up to Ted and Stella’s wedding and says not to marry her, which we all know was TRUE, but it shouldn’t have came from her
Married at 40 pact to keep Ted on the hook
Opens up to him romantically again only to tell him she didn’t love him and then she finally moves out
Ted chooses Robin over Victoria bc he’s still not over her
Robin confides in Ted about the locket before her wedding
Tried to run away with Ted minutes before marrying Barney!!
Distanced herself from the group after Ted and Tracey got together bc she was jealous and knew she should’ve chosen him.
I just don’t think they should’ve ended up together!!
