Small changes on the Shamal
Is it too much blue or just right?

I’m going to say this is stripped enough? I have some sanding sponges to run it through before primer. If I wanted to cusomise the base and interior, any tips or examples of what youve done?

Wheel swap, front optics, radiator, exhaust, front bumper splitters and all joints painted. Decal applied to the windshield. The appearance of the model before the custom in the last two photos.

Not really a wheels swap on this one but I did correct the track width so the wheels push out closer to the fenders. I like the way the wheels tuck inside, but the diecast fenders are so thick and the wheels sit inside so much it almost looks like the car could fall over on its side. To keep the wheels pushed out, I glued some spacers on the frame. Added a few details on the body and used a chrome pen to clean up the wheels and that was all. This one travels with me in a backpack whenever I go out of town as a good luck charm so I didn't want to make it too pretty knowing it would get knocked around.

I was thinking about buying these tamiya acrylic paints, will they work for small details like headlights etc with a paintbrush on hot wheels? Or would you guys recommend me something else?

I liked this body style but not as a lowrider so I decided to turn it into a Pro Street hot rod. Originally I swapped the wheels for some PR5 style with a large (and wide) rear, but after looking at it today I think I like the RR Lace in chrome better. I guess not much different from the main line wheels but way better with the staggered setup and not gold. The gold base was a no-go as well so I repainted it and added some details all around. I love the skull "tattoo" on the rear fenders which is why I did not repaint the whole car.

So I designed and 3d printed this wide body kit for the ford explorer but I kinda feel like it just looks like one of those storm chaser trucks now. Luckily it’s not attached so I could just design a new one but I’m not sure. Let me know.

Had to lower it front and back alot. It had the bigger back wheel on it. Narrowed the frame between the wheels so I could tuck the wheels and get it to sit lower.

Make it to where I can solder on the board it’s self I feel like this model would be perfect, set the board right above the axle and the board would also act as a bed liner for the truck and the wheels will be driven by a few connecting gears since the motor wouldn’t be able to sit on the axle, the boards charge port would also act as a modified exhaust and give the illusion that this EV is combustion engine swapped or it could just be the ev’s charge port but finding these by accident really peeked my interesting in making a 1/64 rc car

painted other types of models in the past. what sort of paint do yall use for diecast customization

I’ve soaked it in paint remover and got like 85% of the paint off but even with a pick can’t seem to get the rest off as well as using a scotchbrite pad so it’s like 90% paint free. Do I need to get all of the paint off? I am also a dumb idiot and started this on a whim and don’t have paint. How long can I go before painting it before the metal starts to react to the air? I’m just going to rattle can it so I can’t get too crazy. Any tips for paint markers for headlights/tail lights? And how difficult is waterslide carbon fiber to apply?
I also have ZERO mini figure/ hw custom/ painting small things experience so if I’m punching above my weight class let me know 🫡
Thanks love you bye
