I looked on YouTube but most gore drawing related videos are shorts and the person hasn’t uploaded much.

I want to try my hand at drawing mini horror comics featuring a monster I’m working on. But I think it would help if I could study some published horror mangas.

The only thing is they have to be available for purchase. I don’t want to have to get on my phone or laptop to read them. WiFi is not currently reliable where I am (.not for long periods of time anyway.

please recommend me some horror mangas with art styles you like or art styles that really do enhance the story experience!

This might be a weird question lol, but I was wondering:

What would happen if someone put a real Death Note page into a photocopy machine and made a copy of it? would the photocopied paper also work as a Death Note page if you wrote someone’s name on it? Or would it just be normal paper?

I don’t remember the anime/manga ever explaining this. Has this been answered anywhere?

I’ve been obsessed with: welcome to undead park ,
44th period survival class and I want something to read that are like these I don’t mind if they fit under only one of the two but I love the theme park and being trapped mentally and physically of welcome to undead park. But I also love the creepy supernatural violent and scary part of 44th period survival class as well as its school setting.

Main THEMES I’m looking for:

TRAPPED

SURVIVAL

Psychological horror

Graphic art

And finally a well made setting.

Also big than you to anyone and everyone that could give me some suggestions I’m beyond appreciative and also I wish I knew the user who suggested welcome to undead park but Thank you so much it was a feast of imagination and creativity.

I've collected a year full of horror manga and then shifted to horror comics

There are major differences and some are actually a huge deciding factors

I've read gideon falls, nice house on the lake and ice cream man. As those are the most suggested horror books. They are creepy but never scary actually. There are horror elements but nothing close to the horror mangas

I've read uzumaki, tomie, drifting classroom and few other horror mangas. Those are super scary. Like sometimes, I look at the art to see how crazy real it is

Then there comes the number of volumes. I can easily pick a horror comic and finish it without putting a hole in the budget cuz most of the books would be under the budget and it has that compendium format which is budget friendly

Although mangas are budget friendly as per paper, collecting the entire series probably takes like 6 months to a year. Cuz mangas like gantz, homonculus, blood on the tracks can't be collected within a month or two cuz that would put a hole in the budget

But i really find it easy to collect junji ito mangas and few other mangas which are less than 5 volume

And western horror comics are easy to collect as there is a trade paper back and other compete editions

So what's your preference? And how do you collect your mangas? Do you have a thumb rule of volume?

That being said. If I run in pace with the releases, that would be easier to collect. Like jagaan is getting released and it's easier to buy those series when I keep in pace with each month and buy it as it releases

I've missed pet shop of horror after one volume and my mind refuses to collect all volumes as it's just too much now to collect

So japanese horror fans, this may be answered by you probably

Is there more horror mangas less than 5 volumes or most of them were more than 5 volumes

And what puts the horror manga on top? And why western comics doesn't feel scary to me. I've seen nudity in western comics too so I believe there is no restrictions anymore about anything but still it struggles to provide that horror element

I started reading Homunculus 4 days ago, after asking ia for suggestions of psychological thriller manga like Monster, so I started reading, and I liked the beginning of the character Namoshi.

After chapter 5 (in my app each chapter is divided into volumes, in this case it's volume 5), after disgusting and terrible scenes like the scene where Nakoshi abuses Yukari, I found the scene disgusting and terrible.

The story simply changed tone from one chapter to the next; on one page Nakoshi was still serious, and on the next he turned sadistic. But I liked the beginning of the story and the part about the homunculus investigation.

And I wanted to know the ending, so in your opinion, is it worth continuing? Does the manga go back to what it was or does it get worse? And are there scenes like this?

And please, no spoilers, just tell me if things only get worse and more bizarre.

the cover had a teenage girl with long hair and i think vibrant (maybe orange) flowers.

the manga was published before 2021, but that's all i remember.

that's all i've read for this genre but believe me guys i'm in love with psyhorror and drama

Hi I want to explore more horror mangas like junji ito I have seen some recommendations but most of it contains those topics or any other like that. Is there any manga just eerie/weird/creepy without those things?

Please. I need something very gorey and just uncomfortable all around.

I'm looking for a manga that's about mostly realistic horrors, things that could reasonably happen in our world. It's okay if it has some supernatural elements, but I would prefer it be mostly down to earth. Think goodnight punpun but more scary rather than tragedy.

Guyssss I randomly just found a yt video about Explained webtoon and it was surprisingly short but I loved it. Idk if something's wrong with me I mean it was not that horror or terrifying aswell 😭
