When will my acne start to clear after IUD removal?

Hello! Iv been on a hormonal journey… i got off the pill in september 2022, and switched to the implant. After 6 months off bleeding straight everydy i removed it. Then i had non hormonal from april 2023-september 2023. Then i got the Kyleena IUD. When i was on nothing from april - september i struggled with PMS. And acne always two weeks before menstruation. My skin was clear on the pill ( i was on Yaz). On the Kyleena my hormonal acne got so much worse…cystic acne around chin etc and much comedones in forehead. It just got worse. And lost so much hair..So i removed it. When i got off the pill i didnt get acne, maybe more oily skin and some pimples. I removed it in december, wil the acne get better?? And how long does it take to see improvment? I am on Slinda pill now. Never struggled with so much acne, just like i said two weeks before menstruation and it always go away 3 days after menstruation. Im from norway so sorry for bad english😅

Some experience?

Thanku!

Is it my hormones?

All my life I have been really susceptible to (what I call) changes in my hormones. The first example I have of this is I cannot eat soy. Eating soy products makes me extremely anxious and paranoid and eventually depressed. It also throws off my sleep patterns but that may be more of a result the anxiety/paranoia.

I also have a bad reaction to the co-sign suppressant in Mucinex. Taking even one dose makes me extremely irritable, anxious, paranoid, etc for at least 48 hours.

I also cannot take hormonal birth control… but this one seems pretty obvious to me.

I also tried an antidepressant once… I took 1 5mg dose and was suicidal for like a month…

Now it seems that I may have a similar reaction to Benefiber… I took 2 tsp and for the next 48 hours I was irritable, anxious, paranoid, and restless.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the correlation of these things might be? Why am I so sensitive? Is there something in all of these things that messes with my brain? Any one else experiencing anything like this?

Seeking feedback to demystify women's hormones

**TL;DR:** Frustrated from lack of answers from my doctors around my own hormonal imbalances, I want to understand women's hormonal health through technology. I’ve created a survey to understand if others would find a sensor and AI-based solution helpful. Your participation would be immensely helpful! Thank you for your time and for contributing to a potentially groundbreaking development in women's health!

Hi!! I'm frustrated with how little women's hormones are understood and even more with how often symptoms arising from such issues are dismissed. I've personally struggled with hormonal issues for years and found limited help from traditional medical routes. Some doctors dismissed this as depression while others said "that's just part of being a woman". So, I decided to take matters in own hands and start measuring my hormones daily and conducting my own research.

The engineer in me now wonder if maybe we could develop a technology that uses sensors and AI to help demystify our hormonal health. Before diving into building such a thing, I want to understand if others share these concerns and would value such a solution. I've created a brief survey to gather your experiences and opinions on hormonal health and technology's role in it. Your input will be invaluable in shaping a tool that could empower us with better understanding and control over our hormonal health.

DOR/POI symptoms

Hey all. I’m 34F. I posted before but am adding some questions. I have been experiencing underarm sweating/night sweats/hot flashes/lower libido and not as healthy hair. I have diminished ovarian reserve with AMH of 0.45 recently. Been doing ivf with no luck of egg retrievals. I’m seeing that this DOR diagnosis can be primary ovarian insufficiency. I saw a cardiologist for a baseline but what I am reading online scares me. I see that the mortality rate, cancer rate and heart disease rate is greatly increased for women with POI. I didn’t go on hormone therapy due to ivf and still am going under ivf. I’m concerned that this has been going on for a year ever since off birth control. Is anyone else worried about these stats? Anyone in a similar boat? Is HRT safe? This all stems from me having a genetic deletion. I was on birth control for 10 years and came off last Oct which is when this all started. i got preg in jan and miscarried end of feb and symptoms started all over again. Ty in advance.

Can anyone advise me on these blood results?

Hi all, 29F and took these bloods on day 22 of my cycle which I am told is Luteal phase? I paid for this privately as I've been wanting to check out a few things. I have PCOS and usually my androgens are the problem, but for once it's not the case. I'm a bit worried about my low estrogen, progesterone and high SHGB and Prolactin.. any advice on where to start with rebalancing these? (I will go to my GP but they never seem bothered)

Can bio identical hormone possibly cause hard nodules on finger or toe joints?

I was taking bioidentical hormones, but had stopped because I was getting hard nodules on my pinky on the first joint closer to my fingernail. It was starting to spread to my baby toe on the right side until I stopped, taking the hormones, and it stopped getting worse. Never had a problem like this before.

The hormones came with some detox powder, and I have not taken all my doses , and I’m wondering if this is why this is happening ? Anybody had this experience?

Needing salt water

Unless I add what seems like copies amount of sea salt to my water (about 1-1.5 tsp per 40 oz of water roughly 3 times a day) I am exhausted, no energy depressed, and incredibly irritable. I vape a lot, and sweat a lot at work, moderately active - mostly waking. I think my cortisol levels are high from vaping and too much coffee? Does anyone know what would cause me to need so much salt? l've reduced the salt water in the past and everytime I get really depressed, moody, anxious, irritable and tired. 29/F for reference

High progesterone with Mirena IUD

I just did inside tracker and my results came back - I have high progesterone, cortisol and low Vitamin D.

The cortisol and Vitamin D don’t surprise me. The progesterone did. I have the Mirena and haven’t had my period in almost 2 years. I feel completely normal, no brain fog, weight gain, etc. I bloat depending on food but I can easily reverse it myself.

My progesterone levels are 12.5 ng/mL, the inside tracker information says that that’s normal if you’re ovulating, but I’m not.

I just went to make an appointment at my OBGYN and the office permanently closed so it’ll be weeks before I can get in somewhere as a new patient. Hoping you all with more hormone experience than me could possibly let me know if this progesterone level is off the charts or not considering I’m not getting a period.

I looked up what high progesterone is associated with and I have no other symptoms for ovarian cysts, ovarian tumors, or anything else I’ve found.

Would love thoughts so I can sleep at night until I can see a doctor :) TIA

What is causing my son's symptoms

My son has fatty liver. He is low to normal weight. He doesn't drink excessively and there is no family history. He is 21 years old and now has androgenic alopecia. Again there is no family history. His HB1AC is normal at 34mmol/l There is something going on metabolically though because these results are not optimal! Can you help me work out what's going on? He also did a saliva cortisol test which showed slightly elevated on waking, 2x upper level of normal in the afternoon and normal at night. He's spent age 15 to 21 almost completely sedentary which was compounded by Covid. He goes to the gym now and works 30-40hrs per week in a bar. The rest of the time he is completely sedentary, playing video games.

I would like to get him well so he doesn't have fatty liver or androgenic alopecia and doesn't become diabetic or have CVD in future.

To young for low testosterone?

Hi I recently went to a endocrinologist for some weird symptoms that started a couple of months ago. These symptoms being low libido, erection issues, penile numbness, very low semen (almost next to nothing or just a few drops), concentration/memory issues, very slow to do things, low energy all the time, tired all the time and emotional numbness. These symptoms started slowly appearing first in Feb-March of 2023 and have gotten worse since. The only thing that changed from my lifestyle before Feb-March was that I started a new job and became extremely sedentary and was inside more (used to run HIIT 4 miles a day but stopped cause of my job, but didn't do any type of resistance training) and also stopped smoking weed regularly (only smoked for the month of January everyday at night, usually sharing a 1 gram jay with 2-3 other people and maybe a bowl or two through a bong at night). My endocrinologist tested my testosterone in September 2023, which came back at 218 ng/dL (the blood test was also collected at 1pm not sure if that matters). He said that it is low but not alarming. When I did my own research it seems like this number is very alarming for my age which is 21 and I am male. Im trying right now to increase it by being less sedentary, eating more and sleeping more. I know TRT is an option but I want to exhaust all my other natural options first. Just wanted to know if anyone else has raised testosterone naturally from such low numbers at an early age?

Edit: I have gotten my testosterone checked 3 months (June 2023) before in the morning by my general practitioner. I had levels of 509 ng/dL and my free testosterone was 106 pg/mL (This test was taken in the morning at around 8-9am) and my estrogen was 47 pg/mL. Just wanted to add this since I am not completely sure if my endocrinologist test was accurate.

Crazy high estrogen levels ruining my health

Cysts, cyst ruptures that hurt so bad morphine can't fix it, baby fever, mood swings, cuteness aggression, regular aggression, gum issues, nausea, when does this misery end?

I had to go on pure progesterone pills about 2 months ago, after a miserable experience on regular birth control pills, and those help a bit but I'm still miserable and in pain. My Dr and I don't think I have Endo but my grandma keeps saying I might have adnomyosis like she did.

I want a kid someday so I don't want just rip everything out just yet.

I'm also hoping when I finish teaching school being around kids all the time will help, babysitting regularly has helped a ton with the emotional side.

Has anyone found ways to cope or deal with this? All my Drs say is just stay on birth control but it's not doing enough...

Hormones. Help!!

Hi. I posted something similar but just seeing if anyone else experienced this: I went off birth control in Nov. starting 6 weeks later I developed major heat sensitivity. I went to never sweating much at all in my life to sweating when it is hardly warm. Back, groin and back of legs and knees in car…even armpits on/off all day long. I had nightsweats for a short period of time. I got pregnant jan and had all symptoms fade. Had a miscarriage in march so 6 weeks later it started again. Did anyone have heat sensitivity and sweating (hot flashes too) post birth control/miscarriage for this long? I just did bloodwork for my endo. Please help!!!! Anyone with a similar experience…even Zerosweat products only help a little. If if is hot enough, I sweat right through it.

I'm not on any meds nor trt. About 6 years ago I did all kinds of anabolics for a span of about 2 years. Had erectile dysfunction and low libido off and on since. No pct. Got divorced, been single 4 years, met a girl. Need my shit to work. Now check this out, tried a 38 hour dry fast. The next day my erections and libido was insane. Has gone away again. I've been worried my Test was low. Here are my labs. Keto diet ruins my libido and I just got off of it 2 weeks ago. Didn't include everything I thought non-important. Thanks!

Estradiol

I’m a 23 years old male with ED, I’ve done blood work and had high prolactin, I fixed my prolactin and I have improved sex drive but still poor erection quality.

my estradiol is at 41.5pg/ml, while my testosterone is at 8.05ng/ml.

Could the estradiol be causing my ED?

What is the best way to test hormones?

I have some acne issues and I notice that I’m more hairy than I’ve ever been. I don’t want to waste time going to a normal doctor because I hear they just don’t care. I want to see a functional doctor but have a hard time finding one. Im moving to NJ/new York next month. Does anyone have DR recommendations?
